I like to say I've been coming to Ravioli House on summer vacations since the 70s. The food is still delicious. The service is wonderful (shout out to Carrie, for her attentiveness, her sweet disposition and personality!). Whenever we come down, my husband and I love having a good night of Italian food here! There's no other place to go for the freshest pasta and homemade sauce. Yes, the cannoli cake is excellent! Took three walks last night after this terrific meal. I went old school spaghetti and meatballs while my husband had the creamy pesto and fettuccine! House salad and bread...yum! Long wait time for food. Restaurant week menu item flounder francaise was mediocre and bland at best. Waitress forgot to bring out my wife's meal so after about 10 minutes we told her and she did give us the entree for free and she packed it to go.... Was there twice this week with different groups of people. I must say that the latest edition what used to be the patio is pretty with its bar and rest rooms. However, I was disappointed both nights with the dinners. The restaurant is different: the plates arrived very plain looking without any "decorations" (sprinkle of dried parsley or some fresh parsley). And the food is not as good as in past years, lacking in taste. The tortellini with Alfredo sauce was bland. On the contrary, the Puntanesca sauce was extremely spicy. And the outdoor "play area" was not a functional as many games were missing pieces. Very disappointing this year! read more

First time back to the Ravioli House in 2 years. Ordered the veal parmigiana and it was disappointing. It was the thickness of cardboard and it tasted the same. The cheese and sauce did cover up some of the taste. Oh well. The service was excellent and the server very attentive to all of our needs. After the disappointing meal I did stop at their bakery and purchased some cannolis which were excellent. The dining room was nice, clean and the noise level was acceptable for the busy weekend crowd. I will return in the future but will never order the veal again. EMILY was a waitress. She was nice. It was towards the end of the night. We closed the place. I had the trip around Italy so the raviolis weren't really that packed which I thought they'd be packed and tastier, but it definitely was homemade the pasta the same thing I think it was homemade the sausage was great and the meatballs were out of this world unfortunately, I agree with other people who put reviews on here that the sauce needs attention. It's a little bland and they don't put much for the amount of food that I had on a plate. It wasn't that much sauce on it. They have a large assortment of martinis mango martini was really good. Still excellent.! Our most recent we had the chicken Francaise with fettuccini alfredo, and eggplant Parm with pasta. Both were delicious the chicken was soooo tender. The eggplant was cut a little thicker so you could actually taste it. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. Also very large portions, so we had food for the whole weekend. After dinner we went a got a cake from their bakery and some of their delicious cookies to take home. We got home, and there was a problem with the cake, but I called and they took care if it. Great customer service. Going back in a couple weeks, can't wait.! We've been going there for 30 years, it's our favorite place in Wildwood. read more

A longstanding establishment serving Italian Food since the 1970's with a comfortable feel to the restaurant. Service was very good and our servers were very personable. Sadly, however, the Italian food we were served was (sadly) very true to many of the other reviews on Yelp. The Meatballs were on the smaller side, with very little flavor and under seasoned. The Chicken Parm was breaded in a plainly seasoned breadcrumb and came out dry and tough. The Baked Ziti was a basic Ziti and it was what it was. The Sauce on the food is, again, bland and lacking a distinctive tomato flavor. All of this food is really what you'd expect from popping over any family members parties which was disappointing coming from a restaurant. Very basic, uninspiring dishes. They may have been there for over 50 years but a refresh of recipes and menu is severely overdue. read more

I love the ravioli house! It's a real mom and pop Italian restaurant. All of the pasta and sauces are homemade. My fiance had the lobster raviolis which he said were delicious. It's family friendly, but very quiet in there. So if you have little ones bring something to keep them quiet so they're not distracting the whole restaurant. They give a lot of sauce which I loved! The appetizers are large and delicious as well. I came here back in 2019, and this was my second time visiting. It did not disappoint! With Over 50 years in business by the same family they know what great food is and how hospitality should be delivered. They act like they are honored to serve you great food. All waitstaff are well trained. Their rather large menu is full of fine food delivered accurately and well presented. You still get the free bread basket with your meal. Why is the food so good here and the dining experience so pleasant? --- Because it's a family run business with people who have strong ties to the local community. Old friend was in town and wanted manicotti no other places he saw ravioli house had it and anything for this guy been friends since nursery school. We both had read the reviews but sometimes reviews don't do a place justice. When in time do as the Roman's do. You're always best checking something out for yourself. We did just that my wife and I arrived a few minutes early we went in to check if they were there. We were greeted at the door told our story hostess said they weren't here yet but would we like to have our table and wait. I really appreciated that some places won't seat you it was hot out so a seat inside w air conditioning hit the spot. I had a bad experience here years ago - food was so bland and the sauce was watery. I always see ppl say great things on social media about this place and they have been nasty if I say otherwise so I decided to give it a second chance. Went to bakery side first for some goodies and waited -there were two ppl waiting on 1 person. No greeting, nothing. Before her was some woman who was related to the cook so she took awhile too. Finally I decided to go to restaurant to pick up my order. They told me I need to pick up in bakery- this was not told to me over phone when I ordered fyi. So I said they were taking awhile but I will go back. The hostess was like maybe they are busy- very rudely. the manager was like I will go over with you. I went back over and mentioned I was trying a second time but that other woman didnt have to be rude, She said i dont know what goes on over here when im not here. Not great customer service. I paid $39 for garlic bread and angel hair pasta with vodka sauce only for it to be so bad I threw it all out. Do not go here. Expensive, rude and food is just not good. The pancetta was fatty and chewy, the angel hair was so overcooked it looked like spaghetti and the vodka sauce was flavorless. We were looking to get Mussels and The Ravioli House did not disappoint. My dad used to live in wildwood, so he thought we would like this place and we absolutely loved it. The waitress was very nice and paced the meal out appropriately. We got "The Trio" for the main course and the red sauce was amazing. We had a very nice dinner here 3 nights ago. Ordered the Sicilian calamari, which was great and the raviolis were delicious!..the restaurant itself could use some updating. Looks a little dated. My only complaint about this authentic Italian restaurant is the grated cheese. They do not offer freshly grated cheese. They only have that "shaker" cheese on the table that you get in a Pizzeria. My advice it to get rid of the shaker cheese, and have the waiter offer freshly grated cheese. read more

The food at this restaurant is spectacular! I've never tasted Italian Sausage so good. From what I understand, it's a family recipe. I don't know how they do it but it is the most tender and flavorful Italian Sausage I've ever had. The service was great! Our server was courteous and prompt with everything. The entire experience was excellent, drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert. Speaking of dessert, the dessert tray is overwhelmingly packed with some of the best looking desserts I've ever seen! The ambience is old Italian and very nice. We had a full meal for three adults and the price was very reasonable. Three of us ate for the same price as two of us at another local restaurant. Quick tip! Call ahead & get reservations otherwise you run the risk of waiting outside until your table is ready. We had reservations for 11 people. When we walked in, our first impression was, "Where are they going to fit a party of 11?" But there's a back room that's absolutely stunning & well made for big parties! With a gorgeous bar for adults, and enclosed patio for the kids to run around and play. I was ready to eat and they were ready to serve with joy! PARKING What is with parking in Wildwood and every white person having the nerve to shake their heads and mutter something negative under their breath just from a person trying to park? You parked too! Make it make sense! I'm white myself, but like, why?? Also why would you walk in front or behind a car that's trying to park? Do you have no self-awareness? There is so many other places to walk! Everyone else also has to live. I haven't been in Wildwood since the summer of 2019, I came down for my friend's birthday weekend, and I'm GLAD I don't come here often. The people who go to these places are just downright rude for no reason. I've never had this issue with people in North Jersey. Also, the parking lots are crazy tiny! And I get it, capitalism at its finest, but when it's raining & you have reservations, you want to get there quickly, efficiently, and without being poured on. But then you have to maneuver a car into a tight space. Thankfully, the parking is free, if you can find a spot that is. WAIT TIME Like I said in the intro, get reservations! They had our table waiting for us upon arrival and made our way back to it. BATHROOM There's 1 for men 1 for women. Usually there is a wait, once you open the door. Very nice bathroom, but the toilet paper roll was not in its place. The only thing I also want to note about bathrooms is the fact if you're seated in the back room, you have to go outside and back inside through the main doors to get to the bathroom. You can't cross via the open door because servers are constantly using it to come in & out with trays of food. And to come back you have to go the same way. MENU & PRICE The menu is vast! Everything is on the pricier side though! There are inclusive eats for everyone, children & vegetarian included! FOOD The portion sizes are great! I started off with an appetizer of garlic bread for $6. Each meal you have comes with a salad, and the house dressing is TO DIE FOR in my opinion. They said it's homemade parmesan Caesar dressing. I definitely need to get my hands on a similar recipe! I definitely would eat this salad more often if I could! My main course of meal was the spinach ravioli for $24. he ravioli fell short! I was highly disappointed. It had no taste. It came out green, which was awesome! The sauce it came with didn't flavor the food very well in my opinion and didn't match it at all. I honestly got the spinach ravioli because I wanted to try ravioli, and I also thought it would be the most flavorful if not the most savory of the bunch. Every meal I had up until this point, at Ravioli House, was packed with a flavorful punch so much so it made me so excited for the main course only to be let down. It was very mellow and bland. And the sauce did not help. It very like it was trying carry the ravioli and it was just not a good mix! I would definitely not be buying another form of ravioli here and would go for something else off the menu! They also had an awesome selection of non-alcoholic drinks. I went for their raspberry iced tea and was not disappointed!! I drank every last drop! Our server also brought out a dessert tray to show us what desserts they had, and I am so glad I went from the brownie peanut butter! It was to die for. I was so full so I was able to take my dessert and my leftover ravioli to go. Even the next day, the dessert was amazing! After a few years not being able to eat here because of the long wait times, we were so excited to finally make it here on Friday... unfortunately we left disappointed. We were sat quickly, no wait. The soup and salad, especially their creamy house Italian dressing was great. We got mozzarella sticks and garlic cheese bread for appetizers and they were good... but our dinners not so much. My fiancé ordered the eggplant parm and said it was subpar, no major complaints but the pasta was soggy. I ordered the Chicken Parm and deeply regretted it. The best I could describe it: a freezer burned, thawed out, soggy, flavorless breaded chicken breast... and to make matters worse, our server never even inquired how our meal was, merely if I wanted a box to take my hardly touched dinner to go! My response was a very quick and certain "No thank you". As a previous long time server, it's "Server 101" to know an untouched meal is worth inquiring about, especially when the customer declines to take the meal to go. We happened to notice the table behind us left much of their meals untouched as well... they were in after us and out quicker then us and quickly declined to take anything to go as well. All in all, most of the food was good, with the exception of our main meals. Don't come with high expectations and maybe you'll have a better experience. I enjoyed the older style atmosphere of the restaurant, but while our server was kind, he seemed checked out and not very interested or attentive... (it was not busy either). My friend grew up coming to this restaurant and told me I had to go to try real Jersey Italian food! We had mozzarella sticks that were sooo good-not greasy and not over breaded! I had the tour of Italy to try out the different homemade pastas-I loved the stuffed shell, gnocchi, and ravioli. My husband liked the shrimp Alfredo with angel hair. Our food was over cooked and cold. The waitress practically ignored us. I asked for lemons and extra napkins, she never brought them so I had to ask the hostess and I received them immediately. Our zucchini sticks were over cooked, the sauce tasted like Ragu I would highly recommend that you do not waste your money here. One last thing, we told all of this to the hostess and all she said was I'm sorry. No comp dessert and nothing taken off the check which was over $100. We had 2 entrees and 3 appetizers. Located right across the renovated Brooklyn beach club hotel, the Ravioli House is a must for Italian pasta when in the area. Sauces are tasty, thick and fresh! Homemade pasta is also a must have along with their specialty sauces. This evening we tried the Alfredo which wA thick, fresh, garlicky and cheesy-not watery at all! My 9 year old chose this with his kids meal and he was not disappointed! He even finished off the sauce with bread. The complimentary bread left much to be desired. It was not warm not crispy but just OK. I guess good enough to dip into their saucy dishes. Their fries calamari was perfectly cooked and crispy. The marinara sauce that accompanied the calamari was out of this world! Super thick and perfectly saucy and chunky. I opted to try their bolognese with linguini and chose grilled chicken with it. I only ordered the chicken because I did not think the sauce would be saucy nor meaty-bit was I wrong! The sauce was full of chunky meat and it was delish!! My hubby ordered chicken parm with vodka sauce and he absolutely loved it! Next time will try their sangria. Not fancy therefore can dress it up or down. Friendly and fast service with both indoor and lots of outdoor seating. They had a comedian this evening outside in the tent but we didn't stay because we had our child with us and other plans. The Ravioli House is a staple in Wildwood, they've been open as long as I've been vacationing with my family for the past 30+ years. Not a single thing has changed. Last summer I went and enjoyed a family dinner as I always do but this year we went and something was lacking. The food was great but the ambiance in the restaurant was off - no music playing, bright lighting, the band outside was muffled through the walls and wait staff was gossiping within earshot. Two iced teas, one calamari, one spaghetti and meatballs and one chicken parm - $76. This was way too expensive for this meal. We stopped over at the bakery after and it's the same exact case of pastries and cookies that have been there for the past few decades. If you're looking for an ol' reliable then stop here with the family. read more

Not good for large parties. If you have more than 6 people they put you in a detached garage which is very echoey and hard to hear. The waitstaff was very nice, but after yelling across the table to one another, they had a do come in for trivia night. No one looked interested, and he brought bad cheap wedding DJ energy to what used to be a classy Italian restaurant with lines out the door. It was so loud we spoke to the owner and she defended it and said it was advertised and people are here for the trivia night. No one was playing and there was no sign posted or we would have went somewhere else. If you want to spend $40 for a pasta dish while you can't hear yourself think, this is the place for you. It's a shame too because the food is decent (if not overpriced). We've been coming down to this place since the 80's, and I appreciate the attempt at trying something new, but this isn't it. We had reservations and were seated by the rude host, not in the original part (which had room for four) but in the new outdoor part where the acoustics bounce off the metal ceiling and the noise levels made us want earplugs, There was a loud family of over 20 people in the center of this warehouse type large room with with children screaming, banging on tables and food on the floor! It was so loud we could barely hear each other at our table. The chairs at tables were all different. Some tables had plastic patio chairs. There are port a potties outside for bathrooms or you can walk outside back into original dinning room and wait in line to use bathrooms. While the food and service were good it was not worth the torture or headaches we all had after dinner. Clearly Ravioli House caters to large noisy, rude parties only. So if you are looking for a nice quiet, comfortable restaurant don't go there! What a horrible atmosphere and experience! read more

I went last night and had the vodka sauce with rigatoni. I should have known what the meal quality was going to be when I saw the plate come out, coupled with asking for no sun-dried tomatoes in it and being told the sauce is pre-made in a big batch so it's already in it. Once tasted, the rigatoni was overcooked (super mushy) and the vodka sauce had NO FLAVOR at all and didn't have any julienned prosciutto in it despite what the menu says. Added grilled shrimp to the dish as well and whelp, let me tell you, the shrimp didn't even have flavor and were undercooked. My boyfriend ordered the cavatelli with broccoli and grilled shrimp. His dish had a bit more flavor due to the garlic, but overall was not tasteful. Cavatelli was overcooked just as mine was (mushy). Overall, the food was less than superb and the price tag was even worse. At the end of day, being Italian and going out for Italian food can be risky for as I know what good Italian should taste like, cook it, and have been around it all my life. The homemade pasta drew me in and the fact that this place has been here since the 70s I thought it must be good. Bottom line, don't waste your time or money going here...go to Little Italy restaurant instead (a block or so from this joint). Better tasting food, atmosphere, and a BYOB which is a plus! read more

This is my new favorite restaurant! Came with my husband and son a few weeks ago and it was delicious and I kept saying I wanted to go back. Tonight we went with a group of 6 after a fiasco at a different restaurant, we got right in with no wait and everyone loved their meals!
