pork chops, 3 sides and ice tea

Amazing spot with different food every day of the week. Great prices I think it was around $8 for meat, 3 sides, drink and a dessert. I had the pork chops, mashed potatoes, turnip greens and sweet potatoes. It was really good. The dessert was peach cobbler. The turnip greens were so good- spicy and earthy deliciousness. This place is all the southern goodness I needed. I wish I went back more times. Corn bread I was drooling thinking about it but it was dry and covered in sugar on the top. Overall everything else was so good.

Road tripping w/ my girlfriends we saw the name of the place and did a U-Turn! We were clearly not locals and our server asked where we were from, we told her NY and she said one of the sisters had spent some time in NY, so she sent her over to our table and we had a great chat with her about common places we knew! The food was very reasonably priced and very good, but the hospitality (and the hush puppies) is what made the experience. I don't think I'll ever find myself in that area again, but if I did I would absolutely stop in!!

It is a cute little place with down home country cooking. I really liked the ambience, friendly staff, and food was plenty. Nothing fancy, but filling. The place is popular with locals and fills up fast. Corn bread was a little dry though.

The pulled pork was some of the best I've eaten. I didn't add any sauce -no need to change that delicious flavor!! We also ordered the rib and brisket platter. Again, what can I say but both meats were tremendously yummy. However we did try some of the Alabama white sauce on the ribs-- yum!! The collard greens and potato salad were also good. Prices are moderate and the service was quick. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The sign for the place is a little hard to see and I missed the turn to enter the parking area initially. Made our way back and found a spot, though the lot is a little bit hard to maneuver. We walked inside to a slightly hot, slightly dim interior. It's larger than it looks on the outside. A friendly waitress told us we could sit where we liked, so we took a booth near a window so we could see the menu better. Their choices were fairly varied for lunch. Lunches come with a meat + 3 veggies and your choice of bread. I ordered the boneless fried chicken breast, macaroni and cheese, fried okra, and at the recommendation of our waitress, the hash brown casserole with a roll as my bread. My mom got the country fried steak with brown gravy, macaroni and cheese, fried okra, cabbage, and a roll. My dad got the same thing except he subbed the cabbage for greens of some sort, though I can't recall if they were turnip or collard greens. He also got the fried cornbread. Our waitress was very nice and patient with us, even with my dad chatting her up, lol. Our food came out quickly. You pay at the register up front -- we thought the prices were reasonable. As for the food itself, it was enjoyable! Simple, straightforward, but tasty and comforting. The chicken was breaded expertly and was cooked well. To me, the stand out was the fried okra, which was perfectly crisp. We also enjoyed the macaroni and cheese, greens, and chicken fried steak. My mom said her best thing was the cabbage, which was surprising at first -- but I agree, the cabbage was excellent! The hashbrown casserole and the fried cornbread were the only two letdowns; the casserole needed to be cooked and seasoned a bit more, and the cornbread was likewise a little on the floppy side, instead of having pleasantly crisp edges. Overall, though, solid country cooking at a reasonable price served quickly by nice people. Give them a go if you're in the area.

Everything online made me think it would be a neat place for breakfast. While the waitress was very nice, I've never had to wait so long for bacon eggs and waffles. Especially at a place that specializes in this. The house made sausage wasn't really the flavor profile I like and while I'd never fault someone for just having different taste, I will fault them for sending out sausage that's raw in the middle. I've never seen a waffle be able to be messed up but they nailed that. My 4 year old ate one bite and wouldn't eat them. My husband and I both tried them and didn't like them either. They were gritty and had an "off" flavor. I will say, the scrambled eggs were very good and whoever makes their whip cream did great! Needless to say we will never be back. If you're considering coming to this place, save your money, your time, and your stomach the ache.

I probably won't come back to this location, maybe would try another. We rolled through drive-thru around 4pm on Saturday, October 18th. We were 1st in line, didn't look like many people inside. We were asked to pull forward, which is fine. We got a slaw dog, a Bama Wrap with fries, a pork sandwich, pecan pie, and sweet tea. We didn't wait too long but I am not sure which thing took the longest. The reason I say that is the fries were soggy so surely we weren't waiting on them. Also, the sandwich's bun was very soggy, almost sopping wet. I would say this is carry-out and these sat in box but that was not the case. We opened right after getting Slaw dog - delicious, but WEAK dog. This hot dog tasted awesome but the weiner was little. It didn't fill the bun and it was very narrow. Would love this with a better weiner. Bama Wrap - delicious and would order again. Very messy. Interested in the other wraps. Pecan pie - good, average. Not many pecans. Very thin layer on top. Also, no fork so we had to eat with hand (no biggie.) Sweet tea - great Pork Sandwich - pork had a good taste but wife couldn't eat the sandwich because both buns were soaked through and falling apart. Maybe get all wet stuff on the side. But I don't understand because she got into it pretty quickly. Fries - such great potential. They had a nice flavor. But these were all soggy and not fresh/hot. Very sad. They were the first thing I reached for because I could eat while driving.
