Our nearly three year old had chipped his front teeth such that they needed to be extracted. We were very nervous about the thought of our little guy undergoing anesthesia at such a young age. Dr. Dimick and staff were amazing from the get go. They are so focused on making it a positive experience for the children and they succeed in making trips to the dentist a treat. My son has some sensory challenges and trips to the doctor can be tricky, but Dr. Dimick and staff were very patient and engaging with him. Dr. Dimick was very thorough in her assessment of the work that needed to be completed for my son and worked quickly to get a surgery date scheduled to alleviate his discomfort. Once we were at the hospital she was involved with every aspect of my son's care. She spoke at length with us and the anesthesiology team to make sure that everything was on track. She also stayed with my son after she completed her work to make sure he woke up safely from anesthesia. I really felt like she would let no harm come to my son on her watch. Dr. Dimick not only gave me her cell number incase there were any problems, she called me several times over the two days following surgery to make sure everything was okay. I've never had a doctor's cell number before...ever. I could go on and on, but let me sum it up by saying that Dr. Dimick is an amazing doctor and genuinely wonderful person. She clearly loves what she does and is every bit invested in the care of her patients as if they were her own children. One more thing-my son ended up needing an additional crown which was not included in the assessment that Dr. Dimick quoted me so she didn't charge us for it. Hands down, best medical experience ever! Our experience at Toothbud Pediatric Dentistry was top rate in all regards. We received a prompt and friendly greeting upon entering the bright, clean, and cheerful atmosphere. My two children were immediately drawn to the inviting play area complete with a farmers market stand and play kitchen area, which eased any reservations or anxieties they may have had prior to arrival. We were promptly brought back to the treatment area, which was also cheerfully decorated and inviting. While my children practiced brushing their teeth and learned the importance of home care with the dental assistant, Dr. Dimik introduced herself to me and began discussing the children's health history and concerns. I was impressed that she had obviously read through the paperwork I had completed prior to the appointment and had a good handle on areas of question or concerns I had prior to our meeting. The kids were then taken back to the dental chairs, both in the same open room where I was welcome to accompany them. Dr. Dimik and her hygienist worked side by side with my children putting them at ease and keeping them comfortable while doing a thorough cleaning and examination. Dr. Dimik then gave me a full report of both kids' dental health and recommendations. Then entire process was complete within 45 minutes and we were on our way, with our next appointment scheduled for 6 months. I am so impressed with Ann Dimick and her practice. The staff were ready for us when I came in with my 4 children and we didn't wait at all. I wouldn't have minded waiting, actually, because the waiting room is the most pleasing I've ever seen. Wonderful Montessori-like feel with very nice toys and a book rack full of great children's books. No video games or screens (yay!). The tooth cleaning station was fun too. We had the opportunity to try different sorts of toothpastes - ranging from unusual all natural options to conventional grocery store brands. (We will be ordering the clay based one we tried). Exam rooms are pristine and thoughtfully laid out with ample seating for parents and siblings, which is a nice variation from the awkward chair crammed up at the foot of the exam chair. The exams were efficient and friendly. Three visits completed in less than an hour because we didn't waste time waiting around. Dr. Ann and her staff know how to talk to kids! I much appreciated her sincere compliments to my daughter who has been diligent about keeping her teeth and spacer clean. My daughter was so pleased to be recognized for her efforts. I can see how Dr. Dimick would be so good with special needs, sensitive or very reluctant children. Excellent experience. My kids want to go back and so do I. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical seeing so many 5 star reviews (ie if they were all legitimate). We had our appointment today and I too have to give this place 5+ stars. Everyone there was professional, kind, and went out of their way to make the kids comfortable and welcome. The office is awesome. It is very inviting with a great place for kids to play and use their imagination and has lots of books. They have a station setup for your kids to brush their teeth and they let them pick their toothpaste flavor (they must have had 10 different flavors). They show the kids how to brush and remind them of how long, why they need to brush, etc. The kids then got their teeth cleaned, x rayed, etc. Dr Dimick is wonderful. She took the time to actually talk with the kids (ask how their summer was going, etc), make them feel comfortable, and encouraged them to continue brushing well, etc. She also took the time to talk with me to tell me how the kids were doing, what to expect soon (teeth to come out, etc) and in the future (orthodontics work, etc). She was very friendly and took her time (not rushed to get you in / out like you often feel during doctor visits). I have been to a few pediatric dentists in the area and this was truly the best overall experience. Dr Dimick also lives in the area (I like supporting 'locals') ! read more

I am typically not in the business of providing reviews - however, this is an exception that I am very happy to make. We took our daughter to her first dentist appointment and were more than thrilled with our experience. Let me first say that the staff is more than accommodating and truly valued our time and overall experience. Not only were they willing to work with our crazy "life schedule" but were willing and able to roll with the punches when it changed. The electronic document delivery and record keeping are another plus for me - anything that helps be prepared prior to any appointment with a two year old is a HUGE plus! The warm welcome and greeting left nothing to be desired - the suite is set up so that your kids/family have the most enjoyable experience from the time they walk in to the time they walk out. Dr. Ann and her staff were so patient and caring with my very inquisitive little girl - they even let her "take turns" using the fluoride cleaner. Every single detail was thought of - they know their kids and take the time to make the connection at the beginning. My daughter is still taking about the dentist and our appointment was over a week ago. They made a positing and lasting impression on her and I look forward to going back! read more

This place is top notch! It's got the latest technology, and they provided a comfortable and fun environment for my kids. Dr. Ann is very warm and welcoming, and the staff gives the same vibe. My kids (10 yr old twins) really enjoyed their time there and actually thanked me for taking them when I dropped them back at school! Very bizarre... I know, where was the video when I needed it:-) They talked about the artwork on the walls, the kitchen/farmer's market play area, and the cool chairs and brushing areas, and the token/toy vending. They were also very excited to try their new toothbrushes at bedtime. What more could a mom want? If your kids have any anxiety about going to the dentist, this place will rid them of their concern immediately. Oh, and as we were leaving the kids grabbed a clementine and a baby cucumber. My daughter just took a bite right out of the cucumber and thought it was the greatest thing. I'm not sure if they always have fresh produce there or not... but my kids definitely left the office more excited about fruits and veggies. If I could give them a zillion stars I would. Hands down, this is the best possible dental experience. We've been coming here for the last year and a half with our son and while others have already noted the endless kid-friendly amenities (from toys to books and more), it's the personalized care that keeps bringing us back. They are gentle, patient and happy - there's a joy in what they're doing and it shows. And when they noticed my son's tonsils were swollen - something we'd raised with his doctor - is was Toothbud who gave us a referral to an ENT, pointing us towards a surgery that transformed his quality of life. One final example. When I brought in my son for his exam 6 months ago we had literally, only minutes before, put our 15 year old family pet down. When we went today, the first words out of Dr. Dimick's mouth were, "I know last time we saw you, you had just lost Truman. How are you?" I first met Dr. Ann in 2012, when my then 22 month old had fallen face first on our tile floor and chipped his front tooth. I was so worried about his beautiful smile now forever changed by having only half a tooth. Dr. Ann was very knowledgeable and explained every possible scenario to me regarding trauma to the mouth/teeth. I immediately felt reassured and most importantly she restored his beautiful smile!! She was so compassionate with him and reassured him during every step she took with him for this was his first experience with a dentist and he didn't even cry. Impressive!! After this experience I brought my other kids (4 yo twins) to her for their scheduled cleaning. One of them is highly sensitive and he held still with no tears or fear and actually enjoyed his visit with her. Dr. Ann has a very warm spirit and all my kids can sense it! We LOVE Dr. Dimick! Our most recent visit was for a teeth cleaning and my daughter (3) was happy to jump in the chair and let Dr. Dimick look at her teeth and her wonderful staff perform a cleaning. All of this after having MAJOR dental work in the past year. That says something! Our last review on yelp was after the major dental work referenced above (by Dr. Dimick) and I have to say that you do not truly know your dentist until you have to have major surgery done on your small child. Dr. Dimick said she would treat my children as if they were her own and I truly believe that she always has when treating them in the dental office and at the hospital. I trust and value Dr. Dimick's opinion and advice regarding my children's teeth and I know that she will value my input and decisions as their mother. I can not say enough wonderful things. Absolutely wonderful experience for my 6 and 8 year old boys. Dr. Dimick put them at ease immediately by using their names, asking them questions, and generally engaging with them in a kind and enthusiastic way. We were a little worried going in because our 6-year old had TOTALLY freaked out at his last appointment with a different dentist, but Dr. Dimick was like a magician with him. And, she recognized immediately that he has a super-sensitive gag reflex and had several strategies for completing the cleaning without upsetting him. We were amazed. She's was fast and thorough (we appreciated BOTH!) and explained everything very well to the boys as she went along. And details such as the great decor, fun waiting room area, goodie bags, and treasure coins made the experience memorable and positive for the boys. We want them to be neutral to positive about going to the dentist, and Dr. Dimick and her staff work hard to make that happen! read more

All I can say is, Wow! Exactly what you'd expect from a pediatric dentist. For the parent.. She took time to explain everything! I definitely felt like I made an informed decision! My son has cavities in baby teeth. She said it was ultimately our decision whether to treat them and took the time to explain the situation. Explaining that he would have these specific teeth until age 12, and showing us the details on the xray. For the child.. My son was shy towards her on the first visit. Their approach was filled with patience.. Not forcing anything to avoid creating fear. She even invited us back for another (no-charge) cleaning visit before his treatment..She wanted him to be more comfortable in the office before treatment. Just as important as dental health is for a pediatric office to create a comfortable environment for the child. I have no doubt this is a core value of this office! read more

Toothbud Pediatric Dentistry has been the best dentistry place we have been to! We go here with our son Alex and he always leaves with a smile on his face, even after a few extractions! Dr. Ann Dimick is so upbeat and patient with him and there are some wonderful hygienists working in her office with her. From the moment you walk into the office, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is very child-friendly as it is both colorful and clean. Dr. Ann takes the time to explain to the parents and child what is happening so that they don't have any worries regarding what is being done. You don't see such service often, and everyone from the hygienists to the receptionist is motivated to make sure that the patient is comfortable and well cared for. We LOVE Dr. Dimick and her staff!! They are so very friendly and have an exceptional way with me and my children (their clients)! I have four children, all ages...and each of them is treated kindly, thoroughly, and carefully. One of my kiddos is on the Autism Spectrum, and Dr. Dimick and her staff is AMAZING with him! The hygienist who helped him was so gentle and calm with him. He was able to sit through a whole cleaning without any stress or discomfort. All of my kids are happy to visit the dentist. Dr Dimick has a great bedside manner, so that none of them is nervous, or scared to go their appointments. This was our second visit with Toothbud after recently changing pediatric dental offices. Best change we have ever made! I am completely blown away by Dr. Dimick and her staff. They were able to convince my very stubborn three year old to sit in the "big girl chair" and clean her teeth with the "big girl tickle brush." I thought there was no way she would go for it and she did! Love the kid-friendly office with all of the thoughtful amenities, everyone on the staff from front office to hygienists and the professional, sweet and very friendly Dr. Dimick herself. My only complaint is that my daughter loves the adorable waiting room so much I can't get her to leave! Cannot recommend them enough! read more

This is an incredible facility. It caters to children with a play area, books etc, and it is very clean and organized. The staff is super friendly, professional and great with children! Dr. Dimick is amazing! She is quite thorough, gentle and proficient. Since there is comfortable seating in the exam room for parents to sit and observe, Dr. Dimick was able to describe/discuss (to both my daughter and I) what she was doing. I brought both of my daughters and each sat across from one another and that made my younger daughter very comfortable as well. The entire layout of the office is quite conducive to a relaxed atmosphere for kids! I highly recommend Dr. Dimick and her staff! read more

I am so excited for our Dr. Dimick to be opening soon. We are postponing our 6 month check ups by 3 months in order to be some of her first customers. We happened upon Dr. Dimick when our regular dentist was out of their shared office. We have been coming here for a few years and absolutely LOVE this office. Dr. Dimick and her staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the office is so well set up for all kinds of families, down to a tiny toilet for little ones to use in the bathroom and plenty of activities for siblings to do if they are waiting. We are always able to have both of our kids' visits done at the same time and as a working mom, I appreciate their efficiency! They are also very understanding about my wishes to not do fluoride treatments and have several fluoride-free toothpastes for the kids to use. LUV LUV LUV Dr. Dimick and staff!! She was my 6 year old's dentist at another office and when her new solo practice opened, we couldn't wait to see it! It's so fun and inviting! Even my son with anxiety issues and SPD had no problems settling down and Dr. Dimick made him feel so comfortable that his butterflies quickly subsided. I think the chocolate flavored toothpaste had something to do with it. LOL She has a special needs son herself so she's totally in tune with our needs and those of any child in my opinion. Dr. Dimick has set the bar for us in pediatric dentistry. I can't recommend her practice highly enough. She is caring and compassionate and her office staff and assistants are wonderful. She treats my (very nervous) daughter as if she were her child when she is in the chair. The environment is so kid friendly and they go out of their way to even entertain my 2 year old when my 5 year old is having dental work done. She will only do as much as your child can handle and knows when to stop so that there will be no fear of dentistry in the future. We drive from South Austin and it's well worth it.
