Went in today for my daughters cleaning. She's five years old and extremely anxious like me. She's never liked going to the dentist. We've been here for a few years because of the location and it's in network. I was disappointed in some of there processes earlier this year but gave them a second chance. But today was the last straw. My daughter was throwing a tantrum. She wasn't cooperating, the dental assistant was extremely patient and sweet to my girl. It was Dr. Luque who was very unprofessional. As we finished the appointment she asked me, "have you talked to the pedi maybe she has behavioral issues." I was taken back by her comment. My daughter does great with her pediatrician. But who says something like that? This is a pediatric office I'm most certain my child isn't the first to freak out and be uncomfortable in there. If I could give 0 or negative stars I would. I recently took my daughter here, who was an existing patient, to have some cavity work done. Since my daughter is only 4 years old and doesn't really like going to the Dentist, I asked to speak to Dr Luque before she started. I was hoping to discuss prioritizing the cavity that was giving my daughter problems before working on the small ones, knowing that there was a possibility that my daughter might not make it through all the planned treatment in one visit. Dr. Luque literally responded by telling me I was threatening her, when we were having a normal toned conversation about prioritizing the problem area. Dr. Luque then stated she was going to proceed how she wanted, and admitted that she hadn't thought through prioritizing the bad cavity and the possibility of my daughter not being able to tolerate the entire treatment plan in one visit. Dr. Luque operates at the pinnacle of UNPROFESSIONALISM. I will say all the staff I have encountered were very nice normal professionals, what you would expect at a pediatric practice. Unfortunately for the staff, Dr. Luque is anything but professional. Things to watch for if you end up at Dr. Luques practice; Dr. Luque will terminate your appointment if your child starts crying and try to charge for treatments not administered. Dr. Luque is not open to any conversation or communication about treatment plans she prescribes Dr. Luques actual dental work is subpar at best, fillings will fall out. Dr. Luque's waiting lobby is always dirty and doesn't ever seem to be cleaned or maintained. I could keep going but hopefully this review is enough to prevent someone's kids and/or parents from having the same experiences my family and I have had at Dentalsaurus. read more

This place wanted to take my kids to the back without me. The dentist told her assistant to tell me to find another dentist just because I refused the x ray. She couldn't even look at my kids she had to send her assistant out. This place deserves 0 stars. X rays expose your children to radiation and the doctors know this because they want people to stand outside during the imaging and they have to cover the children with blankets that can some what shield them from it but it really doesn't protect them and I don't think I should have to be forced to put my children through that so young. read more

I took my daughter to this dentistry, I like the dental staff, the highgenist and the Doctors. They were very informative and nice. The front desk is something different, I had a small issue and instead of going above and beyond or just doing their job they were argumentative. Telling me what they couldn't do. When I would try to explain one of them kept cutting me off. Seems like they did not want to listen to what I had to say. I ask for a copy of my receipt to be sent to my email address and one of the ladies says "I guess I can try to send you one" even after she took payment over the phone I didnt get my receipt right away. 3 stars for the dental crew but they need to train the front desk on better customer service. read more

I love this place, and I'm pretty sure my daughter felt the same way. We were on a hunt for a new dental home, one that really specialized in pediatric dentistry. I had seen the previous reviews about this place, and had really high hopes about it after our appointment was made. The check in process was so simple, and so quick, the wait wasn't bad at all. Inside the examination room were just so clean, and adorned with dinosaurs. Which was a huge plus. It felt inviting, very light and my daughter had a real positive reaction to the whole thing. What I appreciated was that they did take another little girl to the back where we were, but attended to us first before attending to the other child. After we left, then they took care of the other child. I couldn't even begin to imagine how traumatizing it might of been if the other child had started crying. Dr. Luque is incredibly friendly, and very professional. After she covered any questions and concerns and everything she went out of her way to find my daughter a "Frozen" sticker to match her outfit. Her staff is incredibly friendly as well, we can't wait to keep Dentalsaurus as our new dental home. read more

It is absolutely ridiculous how hard it is to get these people on the phone. Every time I call, I end up calling three or four times throughout the day because they don't have call waiting, so their line is always busy. When I finally get through, it's almost always voicemail. What kind of business doesn't have a multi-line phone system in this day and age??? Just because your name is Dentalsaurus doesn't mean you have to be living in the Stone Age! This place also requires you to call and confirm your appointment a day or two before or else they will drop your appointment. If you see a call from them and assume that it's just a friendly reminder about your appointment, IT ISN'T. They WILL give your appointment away to someone else. I see how this works for them as a business, but not so much for customers like me that aren't necessarily glued to their phones/voicemail. I made the appointment! Can't you just trust me that I'm going to show up?? Just a warning because I had my appointment dropped once (when I wasn't aware of this policy) and another time when I just couldn't get through on the phone lines to them. Both my little ones have been there for their routine checks, clean and x-rays. My eldest had some dental work done as well. I needed a dentist for my toddler and this fit the bill. My son loves "dinos" so this was perfect. As soon as we were taken into the dental area, she showed him 2 dragons with fake teeth and a toothbrush he could use. He loved them and was brushing their teeth. My son hates having his teeth brushed and hates laying down. They had a special way where he faced me and played his head on the dentist's lap. It was much more comfortable for him and cried a little less. The assistant was amazing! She listened to everything I had to say and was a huge help. While he was getting his teeth scared she distracted him and actually got him to stop crying for a few seconds twice. I loved this place and will be returning. Even if I move north I will drive all the way here for this dentist. read more

Miserable experience. My shy daughter was approached by the hygienist without so much as a face to face introduction, kind word or explanation of any of the instruments being used. My daughter started tearing up so instead of working to calm her fears the hygienist declared the cleaning part of the exam was over, less than 3 minutes into the appointment. Dentist came over, in full mask,gown and gloves and my daughter became even more fearful. I can't say the dentist was openly hostile but she was not comforting to my scared daughter. Dentist spent less than 4 minutes for her part of the exam. If I could give negative stars I would. Think their business philosophy is just get children in and out as quickly as possible without any concern as to the quality of their work. read more

First visit with my 5 yr old son and it was a very pleasant experience. My son actually felt comfortable despite the fact that he's generally not around unfamiliar places and people. Staff took x-ray images and one of the staff was so good with children that she took the side images when the other nurse couldn't. They are TERRIBLE and I would NEVER go back nor recommend them to ANYONE. My son, who is on the Autism Spectrum was a patient there. He had to have fillings done and because of his sensitivities they told us that they could not do his fillings in their office. They said that they would have to use general anesthesia and that they only perform such procedures at the hospital where trained staff are on hand, they said that they had done it many times for several years; this made sense to me. They checked my insurance information and gave me an printout of the cost the hospital would charge and their dental office price and then informed me that the procedure would be more expensive through my insurance carrier and recommended that I instead pay in cash; this seemed strange to me, but I trusted them. After the excruciating worry of a procedure several children have died (thank God that my son did not), we were told that the cost of the whole process would now be DOUBLE what they told us. They told us that they couldn't do anything about it because "they didn't know it worked that way". I got 3 separate bills, 1 from the dentist, 1 from the hospital, and 1 from the anesthesiologist. Fillings for my son cost $4,000 dollars. I would NEVER recommend this place and I am also talking to the Better Business Bureau about them. This is unacceptable. read more

The wait for my daughter's first exam was easily the shortest wait we have ever had for any medical appointment and Dr. Luque had an excellent rapport with my anxious two year old! My son went in for a filling and a cap. It was never explained to me that I was not able to be in the room with him during this procedure. I was informed I can go back and see him at anytime. But then told I had to ask for permission and with the Doctor's /dentist approval I can then go back to see him. I never experience this before his last dentist always let me in the room for any procedure. I was about to cancel the appointment entirely but my son who is 9 said he would be fine. So I kept the appointment. He got the work done but Doctor/dentist never came to talk to me at all. He was walked back to me by a employee. That person only verbally told me for him to only eat soft foods. This is not what I have been use to by his last dentist that I terriblely miss! Not impressed. Note, this was out experience about 9 months ago. Not sure if it was just a bad day, but the system in place was horrible. 3 patients sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes. Then, all 3 were ushered to the back at the same time. One hygienist. What? 3 squirmy kids just sitting there waiting for the hygienist to move down the line and get to each one. It was like an assembly line. My daughter, 5 at the time, was scared of getting her cleaning. The hygienist (no kid skills to make her feel more comfortable) simply said, "come on! Don't you see I have 2 more people after you?" As if that matters to a 5 year old. She then took a toothbrush and wiped my daughter's teeth with it and called it a cleaning. My daughter could have done a better job herself at home. The dentist herself was nice. But most of the time is spent with the hygienist. We will not return. read more

My experience at Dentalsaurus for my 5 yr. old daughter was amazing. All the girls are bilingual, which I loved because my daughter speaks both languages; but, mainly spanish. They were all super nice. The hygienist was super nice and explained to me step by step what she was doing to inform me what to expect for my daughter's future visits. Arrived at dentalsaurus at 1:45 for my daughters 2:00 pm appointment in order to check in. Did not know that the office closes for lunch and returns at 2:00. No problem waited with my children inside our vehicle until 2:00. We get off and at 2:00 the doors are still closed and now there are 2 parents in front of us with 2 kids each and 1 parent behind me with 1 child. It is hot and humid outside and we're just waiting. I call the office and the recording says they are closed at the moment. By 2:10 no staff had arrived to let us in. Finally I decided to leave but as we are getting into our vehicle, I notice various vehicles pulling in and parking and the staff starts to exits the vehicles. The first 2 staff members that make it to the office door can't even find their keys to open up the office and are yelling across the parking lot to other staff members to ask if they have a key. One yells back that No she left her keys inside on her desk. Very disappointed in your office service. If you expect us to be respectful of your time, I expect the same. Then I get a call from the office at 2:15 asking if we are on our way to our 2:00 appointment or if we are running late! Definitely will not return! read more
