Unfortunately, a tree fell on my travel trailer during Beryl. The front end and roof were damaged…read more We needed a new roof, air conditioner and the front end replaced. We took it to Houston RV Repair on 45 North. We had used them once before in 2020. Work was satisfactory. Unbeknownst to us, they have changed ownership. This visit has turned into a NIGHTMARE! They kept it 4 months. A month in, they asked for a deposit. I received the first of two checks from my insurance co. Reluctantly, I signed over the 7,600k check to them as they were asking for a down payment. A week or so later they talked to my insurance co and filed a supplemental claim. The check was mailed to them. This 3k plus check was mailed with my name as well as theirs. They cashed it without my signature. Now, except for my 500-dollar deductible, they've been paid in full. 3 months later we start calling them. Rarely does someone answer the phone at the shop. You leave a message, and they DON'T return the call. My husband reaches them finally and he's told - "Oh, yes...it will be ready next week". They ask for the deductible. I said, no way...not till we pick it up. TWO weeks later we're finally told it's ready. My husband goes to pick it up near their closing time. It was a rushed transaction. Unfortunately, my husband didn't go inside the trailer, nor did he receive any paperwork or invoice. It was dark when he got home with the trailer. The next morning, I went inside the trailer. OMG, it's trashed. Screws, trash, tools, tacks and sawdust are everywhere. My trailer has never been so dirty. My bed had tacks and screws and large chunks of wood all over it. It took me 3 hours to scrub and clean the trailer. I had to wash walls, floors and all surfaces as they were covered in sawdust and dirt. I also discovered that my 50ft power cord had been replaced with a 25ft cord with exposed wires. There was a hole punched in my ceiling, and someone had been through my cabinets. I call to complain and of course...no answer. I called the next day and called and called till finally they answered. I spoke to Michael (owner) and explained my problems. He acted very nonchalant until I said..."you stole my power cord" he then says he must put me on hold because he's so mad I accused them of stealing. The conversation goes downhill from there. We ended the unpleasant call with the promise that he would find my misplaced power cord and call me back. Of course, I never got that call. So, I grab their inferior cord and drive to the shop. I walk in and throw the cord on the floor and demand my cord. Now I'm getting yelled at by an employee for throwing the cord on the floor. Unbelievable conversation ensues and it seems I'm the villain for wanting my 50ft cord that's not damaged. Terrible unproductive conversation while being threatened that they will call police to file trespassing charges on me. I leave! Call my insurance to get a copy of the invoice. One obvious thing, 582.49 charge for replacing the decals on the front. The problem is...NO DECALS INSTALLED. I'm wondering what else was charged but not done. To add to all the insults...it appears the work they did do is faulty. We have a leak upfront where the work was done. So, theft, insurance fraud, cashing a check without my signature and work that leaves me with a leaking trailer. They have caused me great emotional stress. Houston RV repair has been in denial about everything. They immediately went defensive and never once asked how they could make me happy. I was the enemy for expecting a clean trailer and my belongings to be intact and to have work completed that was paid for in full.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Honest, fair, friendly and fast…read morewould be the first words that come to mind when I think of Houston RV Repair. From the moment the phone is answered, or you leave a voice mail message, you can feel confident that your needs will be promptly addressed. When you arrive on their lot, one of their employees will become your concierge to assist you with any personal needs you may have to take care of before placing the vehicle with them. Then, they take extra time listening to you and fully understanding what the problems are before they even begin. Houston RV Repair will take the time to not only repair problems well, but also investigate the possible cause and assist with future preventions of the same problem reoccurring. Their rates are extremely reasonable. While you can ask for an estimate before proceeding with work, RV owners understand that the remedy can often be addressed during discovery. They maximize their time in service which minimizes the impact in your pocketbook. I'm so happy to have found Houston RV Repair! They are the only place in Houston I trust my RV with.

Our family recently rented a 43' bus from them and the experience was awful…read more To start off, none of the tank sensors worked correctly so we had no idea how full the black, grey, or fresh water tanks were. The only way we knew how full they were was based off whether the sink would drain. The rear master bath toilet wouldn't flush even fluid, so we all had to share the central toilet. While that's just a convenience, it's something that shouldn't happen in any world. The master bed motor wouldn't work so we had to physically lift the bed and disengage the motor so that the bed would fold out. When we had a technician inspect the motor, we found that there was a CPAP mask left under the bed which is disgusting. The lights in the bunk beds didn't work and TX RV adventures had no idea that they didn't until we pointed them out. They didn't do a full walkthrough of their own RV and it showed. The satellite tv wouldn't connect and the speaker system wouldn't connect to the tv. While that might've been user error, TX RV Adventures were relying on their little video to be the full walkthrough which it wasn't. The jack system wouldn't level correctly any time we tried to use it and it took multiple times to level the bus. It would regularly freak out and we would have to reset the system just to get it to work. Since we didn't have an actual walkthrough, we had to figure this out on our own which was extremely frustrating. The ac system was extremely loud and the sensors were off because the bus was either 76° or 60°. There was no in between. On our way home, the bus lost power because the turbo wouldn't build boost so we could only go 30 mph on the free way. Luckily, the engine built power after we turned it off and let it sit for a bit, but we still had the issue with losing power. While traveling home, the hydraulic hoses started leaking, so we weren't able to use the slide outs on the bus. When we got home, the mechanic told us it was a small leak and opened the slide which caused the bus to dump almost a gallon of hydraulic fluid on the street in front of our house. To top it off, Lauren herself said they had issues with Thor motor coach's paint quality and scratching with the slightest touch when she came to our house. After we returned the bus, TX RV adventures is now trying to file a claim against us to get the paint fixed even though they themselves admitted that the paint was of inferior quality and we did our best efforts to prevent trees from scratching it. When you're spending 5 figures on a rental bus, you want it to be as stress free as possible. This bus caused more headache and stress than it was worth and TX RV Adventures was as helpful as a box of nails. I do not recommend renting a bus from here. Edit: to top it off, TX RV Adventures is trying to deny that there were faults with the rv like the bed lights and bed motor.

This was our first rental from TX RV. We rented a 43 ft diesel pusher for 14 days. The experience…read morewas miserable from the time we drove to our first camp site. We spent 3 hours waiting on a technician to help us figure out why the jack leveling system wouldn't work. He finally told us how to reset the controls, and it worked. As a result of the wait, we missed a dinner with some dear family friends that have a new born. In addition, the power to the master bed did not work. We had to pull the cotter pin from the drive shaft and reinsert it every time we wanted to raise or lower the bed. The bus lost turbo boast on the way home. Luckily we have experience with diesel engines are were able to get the bus running again after a reset. Lastly, the hydraulic lines to the rear jacks blew a hose and we are not able to level the bus or put the slides out for the last couple days. The bus dropped a gallon of hydraulic fluid in the street in from of the house while we were unloading. Spent about 2 hours cleaning us that mess! Now, TX RV is complaining that we put some new scratched on the bus, and our "compensation" for all of the issues above is that they will cover the insurance deductible. Terrible place. DO NOT rent from them.

We purchased a camper from Camping World and have unfortunately had nothing but problems with their service department, really all departments and management. Our camper has been in their possession multiple times for repairs that were either never completed or only partially addressed. Most recently, Camping World had our camper for over five months to complete repairs. When it was finally delivered back to us, not a single repair had actually been completed. To make matters worse, the camper was returned to us in worse condition than when it was dropped off. The stabilizing leg closest to the hitch was broken upon delivery -- something that was not broken when they took possession of the camper. The driver even pulled it into our property with the leg hanging down, which could have caused even more damage. Communication with their service department and management has been nearly impossible. Our insurance company has also had trouble getting in contact with anyone, and they have confirmed that some repairs that were listed as completed were never even approved by them. Meanwhile, we are paying nearly $800 a month for a camper that we cannot even use. We have extensive documentation of everything that has happened. At this point we are escalating the situation through the Better Business Bureau and potentially legal counsel if it cannot be resolved. Do not recommend ANY CAMPING WORLD!!!!

Fortunately I have been documenting every phone call and the lies they tell. They certainly don't return calls and are constantly in meetings. I wonder why they have so many meetings. I'm still waiting for my defective refrigerator to be replaced. Now I suddenly can't access tracking the work order progress on the fridge. Feb 4 I was told the warranty work was approved and they would call with an update. Today (Feb 7) I called because they failed to call me with an update. Guess what...in a meeting and they will call me back. No wonder they have lawsuits, there are currently 3 alerts on the BBB for camping world.
