I had gone in to ask for my nails to be removed. I called before and told them and they said that with card its $16. I had tried to take them off before I arrived but it didn't work. They had some inexperienced male nail tech try to take them off but he was hurting my nail. I had told him that it was hurting and he just laughed it off and kept trying to take my nails off. He caused one of my nails to bleed and kept trying to take them off. When one of their appointments arrived a female nail tech came over to me and continued to take the rest of my nails off and they were quick and painless. I went over to pay and they charged me more than what was originally was told to me. During the whole process they had people come over and point at my nails and whisper about me and made me feel extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. Would not recommend

I keep forgetting how horrible the work here is. This was done by someone name Lily. The good news, they got me in quickly. But this wasn't worth it. Too horrible to fix. I definitely will not be going back. I have given this place multiple chances since it's close to my sister's house but no more. I hope the service and technicians do a more careful job. Don't talk, get distracted, etc. just focus on quality work!

I called to see if they would accept walk in new customers for two manicures and they were so nice and fit is right in. Very friendly, they did designs on my nieces nails and the prices were better than most shops, even after tip. Highly recommend. A++ service, felt very comfortable for my first ever visit.

I started coming to the salon because they made you feel comfortable. I've been here numerous times before. I had a full set with gel polish exactly a week ago there. Yesterday, one of my acrylics fell off. I tried to glue it on myself, but it wouldn't really stay so I went in. I went to the shop expecting to pay for the fix. I walked in, told him I needed to fix a nail. They All kind of looked at each other and then this lady( maybe named Kim? Heavy set) Asked me who did my nails. I looked around to see if I saw the girl who did them, but I didn't. The lady that did my pedicure was there so I pointed her out. The pedicure lady pretended like she didn't recognize me. Then after some back-and-forth , Kim started turning on her light and setting up. So I assumed she was going to fix it. I sat down and I could tell right away that they were talking about me. The lady that fixed my nail, then proceeded to tell me that I need a fill. I told her I was in exactly a week ago. There is no room to even put a fill on my nails. She then proceeded to fix my nail, but the whole time barely spoke to me and barely gave me any directions She would push my hand out of the way if she needed to put the light there or clean up. Her whole demeanor was so rude and unprofessional. I have never been treated that way in that salon and I could not bear to sit there. I almost Walked out. After my nail was finished, I kindly thanked her and she just kind of pushed my hand away like "there you go bye". I will never ever return to topcoat nail salon again. As a paying customer that comes in with a full intention of paying for a fixed nail - you should be ashamed of treating your customers this way! I would have happily paid money to have But the way I was treated left me completely appalled. Find a nice professional salon where they treat you well.

Sloppy nail polish.

Made an appointment for a mani/pedi. They took me back promptly, and got me set up for a pedicure. The nail tech was texting while pretending to massage my feet with one finger so that she could text with the other hand. The nail polish is uneven and sloppy. I could have done better. Then the manicure the technician was nice, but not careful. I gave 2 stars because they were prompt and friendly enough. The end result is pretty bad, ans I won't be going back.

Done by Amy, simple yet neat

I mean.. she let me walk out like this and expected me to be ok with it. I was still trying to dry my toes but she was in a rush and helped me put on my sandals. And basically scraped the nail polish off my pinky toe. It's clearly visible and she's just rushed me out. I will no longer be coming back since I gave them so many chances.

I went to this place to get my prom nails done, I was greeted at the door as soon as I walked in, overall service was well, I loved the shape of my nails but I hated the design... they didn't go all the way down to the cuticle and it leaked onto my finger which I had to fix, the tips of my nails are also uneven and streaky... I tried to ask for a refund or at least get the design re done but they wanted to take the nails all the way off... I felt rushed and when I tried to ask the lady to fix it she huffed.. do not recommend to go on a time limit. You'll feel rushed.

2 separate healing slices from nail filing

I've gone here several times in the past and usually have never had a problem, unfortunately, this last time was less than ideal. The service was great, however, during my manicure, my ring finger was actually sliced in 2 places due to very heavy-handed filing. I did bleed from it during the service. I didn't make too big of a deal of it because accidents do happen, and nail files typically are very sharp when they're new. I'm thinking I came first thing in the morning, mistakes get made. Unfortunately, it's been 3 days since my mani-pedi, and I have several fingers and toes that are sore following my service, even developing a mild infection of one toe. Both of these are things that happen regularly, I didn't expect both to occur to me during the same visit. I was still charged regular price and did not receive any incentive in reconciliation. It is unlikely I will return.

Hideous nails I ended up with. thick uneven bumpy

The lady cut me then put this green liquid and crazy glue on my pinky said i couldn't do a fill with powder like i had on previously (ombré set I had is pictured for reference) so i did gel which looks UGLY Now I remember why I stopped getting my nails done at these places they rush to get you out and don't take time or pay attention to detail. I pay the same with my nail girl but she's 3hrs away which I didn't have time to just go for a fill for this week and I pay $40 for a new long set which is what this crappy fill cost me ZERO stars if I could ‍ Also a customer called at around 6:30 and the lady said they were very busy....they weren't.

Coffin shaped ! Gel, full set. $40

I recommend this place for pedicures! Nails ? Not sure yet, but I'd be careful. Walked in on a Monday & got seated in less than 5 mins. I go twice a year to get a pedicure done and I was in town spending time with my sister. The pedicure was one of the best pedicures I have ever gotten ! Thank you Van ! He was such a gentleman, very patient and paid attention to detail rather than speaking to other co workers. I'm definitely coming back for another pedicure in the future ! I have yet to experience a manicure with the business. Based on $$ so far, my pedicure was $40 which came with a hot rock massage, a scrub, & a hot towel when finished with the basic pedicure trim & shape. We told the tech who greeted us that my sister wanted acrylics done-- we told her twice, but instead gave her the gel which costed about $15 more than expected. So we instead paid $40 rather than what I expected to pay ($25). Other than that small miscommunication / maybe the purpose up sale because my sister and I were the youngest there. Everything from the service to payment was good and smooth. I would just make sure that if you're getting your nails done, you should clarify with your nail tech what service they are giving you and make sure that's communicated well.

It's less "fancy" than some of the other places around, but the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the services are high quality and fast, and cheaper than other similar salons. Ly in particular is so sweet, does an amazing job, and is very accommodating about scheduling so I'm able to get in and out between work meetings. I recommend checking this place out.

I wasn't asked what powder I wanted, and I noticed right away that the most expensive option was being used. I went with it, hoping the final result would be exactly what I wanted. While the set is still beautiful, it's not quite what I had in mind. The staff here is incredibly nice, which made it hard for me to speak up when things weren't going as planned. For example, my nails were cut into a shape different from what I wanted, but at that point, it would've been difficult to fix, so I just went along with it. For the design, I initially wanted hearts across all my nails but ended up settling for just one because I felt it would take too long. I also didn't want dots around the lips in my design, but they were added and I didn't have the heart to say anything. In the end, I paid $90 ($75 plus a $15 tip), which is more than I've ever spent on my nails. I recall a time when nails didn't cost an entire days wage for someone. I honestly should just not care about price leave tipping out. I'd prefer to pay less and tip higher and that is because I grew up with very old fashioned grandparents While the quality is great and the staff is wonderful, it's a little frustrating to pay that much and not get exactly what I wanted. That said, this experience was a lesson for me--I need to be more vocal about my preferences. Y2K Nails does great work, and I'd still recommend them, but I'd advise making sure you clearly communicate what you want from the start!

She immediately told me it couldn't be done because she would have to add a base. Even after I told her to just add the base, she kept making excuses about the cost and saying it wasn't possible. I ended up settling for a standard white tip, hoping the glitter she chose would at least look decent. It wasn't what I wanted at all. The worst part is that as soon as she finished the very last nail, she admitted that we could have done the chrome at the beginning, but it was "too late now" because the white was already on. This is the second time she has done this to me. She waited until the job was finished to tell me she actually could have given me the design I asked for. I told her straight up that I wasn't happy. If you want someone book with Angel instead. I've gone to her before and she is great, but definitely avoid Nancy.

I'm on a journey to find my go to nail spot, and unfortunately this is not the one…read more After checking out nail salons in the natomas area, I came across top star that seemed to be one of the higher rated nail salons with promising reviews. There were a few red flags that I should have paid attention to. I called on a Saturday morning, the weekend of labor day. I asked if they had morning appointments and the woman said yes, and didnt ask for my name when I confirmed what time I wanted to come in. Upon arriving, there was absolutely no other customers there, which i assumed was because of the holiday. I asked if she was able to do gel x, and she confidently said yes. I've gotten gel x done for years, so I know each step of the process. Upon choosing the sizes for each nail, the first sign she wasn't confident with gel x was she didnt buff out the gel x extensions. Then when it came to applying the glue for the gelx nail, she didnt have the correct light, not allowing it to cure correctly to my nail bed. I had about four nails that had air bubbles in them, or were lifting on the sides. I normally dont speak up, however I didnt want to get water under my nail and get an infection. So i asked if she could remove them. They easily popped off, which showed they weren't applied correctly. The woman doing my pedicure, bless her heart, was VERY slow. At this point I was just ready to leave. I ended up just getting clear polish on my hands and feet, and still ended up paying 90 dollars (10 was tip because somehow I still felt bad ). I understand she had to use the supplies but I dont think I should have left the salon paying 80 dollars, when the employees were not capable of what i asked for before sitting down. I will not be returning and hoping I can find my forever nail salon soon.

Absolutely Terrible. I went in at 2:30 on 03/27/26 and didn't leave until 4:30. I originally wanted…read morethe first design, but the lady clearly could not achieve that even after being told she could. She said because there is more design it would be $10 extra, which was totally fine with me. After finding out that she could not fulfill the original design, I decided to change it to hearts. The lady replied OK now I know what to do and proceeded to do her own design with hearts. The hearts were randomly placed as you can see, and she didn't even match the hands. After I paid, I went to grab food and looked down at my hands and saw that the hearts were smudged. I then called them back and said that the hearts were smudged and over the phone. She said that the acrylic must've not dried all the way. I go back and point out where it's smudged and she proceeds to tell me that the acrylic was dry. I told her that I know that the acrylic was dry, but as you can see, the hearts are smudged. She continued to gaslight me and say that they were not and after 10 minutes of going back-and-forth, she finally sat me down to change it. I told her what I specifically wanted, and she proceeded to tell me she could not do that because then it would smudge. I asked her why the other hand was perfectly fine, and this one was not, and she did not reply. I should've took it as a sign that there were no other customers and when she applied their acrylic, my nails were burning. The nails are also extremely bulgy and they have bubbles in them. Birthday set of nails, officially ruined
