Our escrow closed in October of 2017 on our home. Top Dawg (as the seller's choice) passed the termite inspection. On March 30th, 2018 I found termite pellets (droppings) in the window sill of my walk in closet. I immediately called George and asked him to come inspect my home. On April 4th, 2018 George shows up and confirms the presence of termites and tells me they have been in my home for 1-2 years. Basically he tells me that "...the scope of their work was inconclusive, and therefore they couldn't see through walls..." Now, I do understand x-ray vision doesn't exist however, George told me based on the size of "termite pellets" (droppings) the termites had been in my home for 1-2 years. Since he "Missed" the termites, he said he could set us up with a fumigation company "at cost." So he calculated the square footage, and informed us fumigation would be around $1100-1200. A couple days later, George called me back and told me he made a mistake on his calculations; (which I understand these things happen) He told me it would be $1500 to fumigate our home. I told him we would still like to schedule for fumigation on June 11th 2018. We had called and texted George a couple times to ask questions, he didn't get right back to us. He told me that they were very busy doing inspections as the spring was "swarming" time for termites, I understood this. On May 14th, 2018 (almost 6 weeks later) I received an email quote and contract to sign from George. At the bottom of the invoice there was a place where you would expect to see charges with $ signs, there were none. I thought this to be odd, but assumed the price was still $1500 as stated in a previous conversation. My husband called George to tell him we didn't see a quoted price, George told us it was on the last page. At the bottom of the last page the contract price was $2200 to fumigate my house. My husband told George we would have to get back with him. We couldn't believe a quote could change so drastically! George did call us days later and try to schedule the fumigation, but by then we had already gone in a different direction. We contacted another pest management company and had fumigation completed on our home. read more
