So far my home has been serviced by Tyler and Matthew who were both excellent technicians and very knowledgeable. They took care of all the issues my wife had concerns with, mainly black widows. We haven't noticed any insects or arachnids make a return, so the product they use is very effective. The value was great too and rivaled local businesses, so that was definitely the major factor in choosing them. I'd highly recommend this branch of Orkin. read more

I scheduled appointments with 4 different Pest Control companies and Orkin was scheduled on 22 July. The man who came was named Joseph Shepherd. He proceeded to let me know that my attic was damaged by all the rats and my insulation needed to be removed and replaced and the entire attic needed to be sanitized to the price of around $15,000! Mind you I had 3 other companies come out and not one of them told me this information. I asked. In fact, my attic access area was open for quite a while each time a Professional went up there, and I didn't smell anything at all. I was told by the other others that I probably had one rat in my attic. In addition, Joseph Shepard left and said that he would email me an estimate with Photos and he never did. I would run far away from this company. I will be leaving positive reviews for all the other companies I interviewed with. Absolutely donot recommend Orkin for pest control. Their services are overpriced for the quality you receive. While they started off strong, over time the service became inconsistent and lazy. What's worse is that they made major changes to how they treat infestations switching from effective bait traps to just glue traps and basic plastic claw traps without any notice. Despite the reduced service, they continue to charge the same price, which feels unfair and misleading. If this is the level of service they now provide, you're honestly better off going to Home Depot and buying your own pest spray and glue traps. It would save you money and probably deliver the same (if not better) results. Very disappointed and won't be using Orkin again. read more

I have used Echoshield for years, until they were bought out by Orkin. Since then, the service has gone downhill. The techs spend maybe 10 minutes here, do not knock down spiderwebs, and I still find ants right after they leave. Then they raise my rate while providing less service. I just cancelled my service after being a customer since 2011. I am a very loyal customer, but when the value of what you're paying for is not there anymore, it's time to move on. I do not see any value anymore, so I'm moving on. read more

Let me say out of the gate that Matthew is a great service technician and I would give him 5 stars. My concern is their billing practices. I am receiving a combo service of pest control for spider abatement and mosquito service during certain months, and my understanding is that the visits are every other month and then every month during mosquito season. They do an auto withdrawal from my checking account for $101. every month. The routine appears to be on the 6th they make the $101 withdrawal, 7th if it is a service month they make contact, 8th or after service is scheduled. I do receive visit reports, but I have never received a service agreement, something that would break down the services and when the auto withdrawal would occur. This is the only service that I have not received courtesy reminders that a charge is going to be made to my account. I am not at all comfortable with the billing practices, which could have been easily alleviated by a service agreement with the breakdown of services and payment dates; and courtesy reminders before the auto withdrawals. read more

Have been trying to get an exclusion report after inspection for over a month. After calling multiple times, they continue to tell me they'll have it sent or call back and then nothing happens. Snap traps have killed 9 rats in garage, but if I'm unable to stop their entry this will go on forever! Very unhappy with their follow-through. read more

We called this company out of desperation because of a mosquito problem and when they quoted us on the phone they said it would be $79 for a one time fee for one service. So we booked an appointment. They gave us a time frame of 2pm to 4pm. They showed up after 4pm and then said it cost $199 not $79. I felt taken advantage of. I had already taken time off of work and was desperately wanting to get rid of my mosquito problem so I paid but will never use this company again. Asked to postpone my service for a few months, they sent someone anyway, and are demanding I pay. While I'm disputing it, they send the guy again, and I send him away, and call the office again, and they are now wanting me to pay for both services, and sending me to collections for services I didn't authorize, that I specifically called their office to request they cancel before they sent their technician. Now I'm fighting with their national office, and asking them for help, but they are turning it back to the local office to "see what they can do". These guys are crooks, don't do business with them. read more

It was my first time to use any pest control service. My issues were ants and some spiders. Keep in mind that the time they give you is a window so add another 90 minutes to the latest time in case you need to be somewhere. This wasn't clear in my call with the service rep but I'm not deducting any points with this. They were nice and did not try to up sale me. They said they'd call me in a week but no call for 12 days and counting. I saw live ants in the main problem area that I pointed out at 7 days. I've seen some additional ants and a big spider since then. The cost for a one time visit was about $292. I don't see the benefit. Just buy some Ortho Home Defense and do it yourself. read more

This company took over Heart Pest Management. They did not obtain it smoothly and I have had nothing but problems. They never came out in May, but charged me for this in July for May, June, and July all at once. It took a week to get ahold of anyone. They outsource calls to India so they would "leave messages" for Orkin to call and no call. I tried calling several times and was on hold for 40 minutes once and 35 another for the longer waits out of all the times I called. Most of the time, I had to hand up and forgot about since I had to go back to work because I was on I lunch. Finally, go ahold of someone to speak to a manager for me and took 25 minutes to have her go back and forth about our May issue and how they never came at all but billed us, but they finally refunded me 8 days after my phone call. Then after their last visit and getting the refund in between, they came out AGAIN 16 days after their last physical visit in July with no warning. We have clear notes about how they must call 24 hours or more before they come so we can unlock our side gate and they did not do this the last 2 times they came out. The technician had told us the reason they came without calling was because "they were behind on calls" which is why they just showed up. Then, I called the local branch and it took 12 minutes to wait for them to answer and the girl that spoke to me was condescending and rude with expressing how I felt it was not right to come 16 days after my last visit and not notify us either. She just said, "Ok, we're sorry." She spoke in a passive-aggressive to and not care to remedy the situation and seemed more than happy to cancel my service when requested. They had no remorse or possible solutions to help the situation or offer partial credit for all that they have done. DON'T USE ORKIN, if you don't want to deal with India call centers to communicate and no one ever calls back, or charge for phantom visits, or deal with incompetent office and field personnel. read more

I've been working on taking care of the pest that come over from the unkept yard next door for almost three years, the yard next door looks like a dump. I did my research to see what I would need to get the pest and rodents under control. Went out to my local hardware store picked up the needed supplies. I work hard on maintaining my lawn and garden, people have asked me who's my gardner I say I'm the gardner. After years of working hard on getting rid of the pest and rodent issue , I needed help. I called Orkin spoke to the professionally trained call center, had a good call with the representative, I was welcomed to the Orkin Family. A day later got a call from a Orkin Technician, went through the issues I need help with and set up a time and day. Corey is the Orkin Technician that came out to my home. Corey did his evaluation of my property and we discussed the things I needed help with, and Corey got to work. I saw results from the first initial appointment. Thank you Corey for your professionalism and expertise, and all the hard working staff at Orkin for your expertise and knowledge on helping me save my landscaping and garden. We got an inspection for bed bugs in our home the technicians were very nice but charged 95 dollars for a fee. The technican said we don't have bed bug's just spiders and carpet beatles, So then he said it would be 150 to spray inside and out of my home for a one time service. We call orkin the next day to schedule a appointment we talked to an employee named Matt in the national service center. He was so rude he talked over me then said im not gonna give you what you want im gonna give you what you need. Then when I still said I want to spray for spiders only one time he said that won't work cuz of the sack of eggs. Then he starts bullying me with his sales pitch saying no listen to me but kept interrupting me. I finally said your making me feel so uncomfortable the tone you are using he was raising his voice to me. So I said let me please speak to your manager at first he refused to transfer me then mumbled some bad words cuz he lost his temper on me then hung up the phone. I will never use Orkin again they defiently lost a customer. They tell you one price then on the phone they say 100 more even though they said it would be discounted 95 for the inspection fee. Matt was so rude he kept trying to pin me into a 3 month spray plan but he kept talking over me. Then when I tried to say anything he just kept talking above me. He has no matters or phone equiette can't believe there customer service center is so lacking with their customers.
