I'm almost too embarrassed to write this review, because in the end the actual repair job was in the manner of minutes. However the speed of service, peace-of-mind and lessons learned were well worth the money spent and I do want to recognize the business. We have this heavy, aluminum/tempered glass sliding door to our patio. Its not used frequently, but on the hottest week of the year (so far) the wife opened it and did some cleaning. Neither she nor I could close it back all the way. There seemed to be some metal piece wedged at the end of the top rail, preventing the door from being flush. Huh? I never noticed that piece before and did temperature extremes and earthquakes over the years cause my door to change in height or mis-align so it doesn't close anymore? Why now during unhealthy air day? Affordable Glass was the one business we called that offered to come out and do the repair, and on a same day appointment. They were transparent in explaining that the cost can vary up to several hundreds of dollars if the rails had to be replaced. Several other places I tried never returned my call, and one nearby company only offers repairs for doors that they install or sell. Masoud showed up and diagnosed the problem. With a flat-head screwdriver, rubber mallet, and step ladder he pried away the metal piece, repositioned it behind the door along the top rail, and cleaned up and lubricated the bottom rail. Done and now the door slides perfectly and shuts close now. Somehow the door alignment changed so it "dragged" the metal piece from one end to the other end, creating a temporary door stop. Totally unexpected but now we know what to do next time. I wanted to recognize Affordable Glass for promptly offering to take up my small repair job and for same-day service! read more

I contacted "Affordable" Glass because I needed one single screen repaired. I was quoted $80 to re-screen one screen frame, which I thought was a little expensive, but I said ok to the quote. When the gentleman came to my home he tried to charge me $125, because there's apparently a minimum of 2 screens. I told him I was quoted $80, but he continued to argue with me for several minutes about it. He then told me he wanted cash, which I wasn't prepared for. When I said I could write him a check he grumbled something and waved his hands around and said "fine". I felt like I was getting the old bait and switch and was very uncomfortable that I had to haggle with this man while he was holding the parts he was going to repair. I asked for the parts back while he was arguing with me, but he refused to give them back. Since he finally agreed to do the work for the price I was quoted I didn't make a huge deal out of it. I was able to get a next day appointment to get a quote for replacing my closet mirror door that had developed a crack. He gave me the quickest quote and was affordable. He came and took apart the door and glass and said he would be back in the evening or next day. I was surprised when I got a call saying he was 20 minutes out before 5pm. I helped him bring in the closet mirror door and he got it reinstalled pretty quick. He even cleaned the mirror glass and vacuumed the bedroom to make sure there wasn't any glass or dirt on the ground. I would highly recommend him for your glass needs! read more

I contacted Affordable Glass to manufacture and cut a custom glass tabletop for our dining table. It is a very large table, approximately 100 inches by 50 inches, and so the glass has to be manufactured carefully otherwise it will shatter very easily. Working with Affordable Glass was fairly straightforward. They were knowledgeable on the products, manufacturing processes and relatively straightforward about pricing and delivery. I placed a $200 cash deposit on the product and then paid the balance upon delivery. Things were pretty good up until delivery. They were very communicative about manufacturing delays and worked with us to be flexible on the delivery timing. However, when it came to delivering and placing the glass on my tabletop, they did a terrible job. The glass was not placed straight, fingerprints were both on the top and bottom side of the glass and despite my wife requesting them to address those issues, they left the glass on the table top as is. It is extraordinarily difficult to clean the glass because it is very heavy and requires at least two people to manage it let alone clean it. While the glass was manufactured and cut exactly the way we discussed, I am displeased at the delivery and installation. We have since been struggling to clean the glass under side as it is very heavy. 5/5 for mfg. 3/5 on pricing. 1/5 on service. read more

Nobody wanted to see why my shower door had fallen off, instead they were trying to sell me a completely new enclosure when that wasn't the issue...only financially beneficial to them.
