Called Jon the week before last. He made time in his schedule to come check the error codes on our high efficiency unit (it's summer, and we have all the Californians not used to the Texas heat). He was out in two days, in the time frame he committed to. Anyway, he checked things out, got a pretty good idea what was going on. We weren't able to do anything now, for reasons that are *not* on him. My wife and I decided to go with the company we previously used as they know our system. I contacted Jon to let him know. He was extremely gracious and understanding, and didn't even charge the 39.00 diagnostic fee he quoted. I would certainly call him again. No doubt that he is honest and forthright. I believe you can use his services with confidence. UPDATE: After getting a second opinion via a company sent out by American Home Shield, guess what they found? Went to Yelp and studied reviews and called Top Gun and so glad I did, Appointment made same day and Kylan arrived on time. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Had parts on truck and even replaced some connections and did a total cleaning. Kylan was so meticulous he moved the brand name plate to a more "esthetic" location. It was on the side and he moved to the front. That is attention to detail. Our unit was up and running in no time. One other thing. Our unit is 26 yrs old and I was fully anticipating a strong arm pitch for a new unit, but Kylan never went there. My AC is struggling right now. I found Jon and Top Gun Air here on Yelp. I filled out his contact form on his website and he called me within the hour. He was not going to be available until Thursday because of the holiday (100% understand and I am great with people taking Holidays off to spend with family) but instead of scheduling me for Thursday morning (which he offered as an alternative to the solution we decided on, if I wanted) he referred me to another guy that he knew was going to be working the holiday already. I work weird hours and days so the only time I could get my AC repaired was Saturday at 6:00pm Austin adjusted his time to meet with me when I was running late. Within 10 minutes after a couple of checks he found that my thermostat went bad. he replaced it then went on to check the system for other issues and found none. I thanked and paid him and he left. A few minutes after he left the new thermostat was acting up. I called him and he came back and installed a different thermostat and waited to make sure it was okay, that one had an issue as well and had to replace it again and made sure the repair was good it was. Austin is a true professional and very good at what he does. If his boss is reading this you should give him a raise. read more
