I had a roof rat problem for months and called another company but they could not catch them for 2 months. I had also had a roofing company come out and they did a terrible job of plugging up the gap. When the rats chewed a hole through the ceiling right over my 3 year old grandson's crib, that was it. I called David. He is reliable, experienced and amazing. He knew exactly what to do first was to find the areas where they were getting in. The first company I called to come take care of our ant armies said they couldn't come out for 2 weeks. When I called David at Top Gun Pest Control, he said he was sorry but he couldn't come out for a couple of days. When he realized where I lived and that it was close to where he lived, he said he could fit me in the next day! David came out last week to help me and my wife deal with an ant flare up which seems to be plaguing all of Orange County this summer. We live in a one bedroom apartment in Costa Mesa and David spent a couple hours spraying all around the property for me and a neighbor. I felt like he was thorough and even went beyond our expectations by knocking down any spider webs he could see and treating our trash cans for spiders. Since we have a cat, he helped explain how safe his treatments are for pests which especially helped my wife feel at ease that they wouldn't be harmful to pests. He also went out of his way to show me a few of the numerous ants nests and explain what to expect over the next several days/weeks. Five days later, there is no sign of any ants in the house but even if there were, he offers to do a free touch-up after 3-4 weeks to knock out any remnants. Top Gun has been one of our saving grace services! And when i deal with business owners that are just down right GOOD people and offer GREAT service...it's my duty to brag on them a bit! We've used Top Gun for well over a year now. After we purchased our new home, we had David come and do a reinspection of our attic where rat droppings had been present. He set the traps and then came back days later, thankfully there were no rats! David cleaned and sanitized the attic and made sure to close up a potential problem area where he said a critter could fit into. Fast forward to our regular bug service. David is always so friendly and is incredibly knowledgeable about his work! He goes the extra mile and thoroughly de-webs our children's play areas and toys, and inspects them for black and brown widows. I am extremely comfortable with him around my kids and pets and I truly trust him in and around my home, which as a stay at home Mom that is very important to me! We've had a couple of bug/critter 911s, one time a fly infestation when we were out of town. Texted David from Hawaii...he took care of everything the next day and there wasn't a fly to be found when we got home! Next emergency was a huge rattlesnake hanging out by our front door. I didn't know what to do. I wasn't sure if this was part of his wheelhouse but I was desperate so I called David. He was so disappointed because he was out of town (he loves snakes..go figure!) but said he would have absolutely come and relocated the snake for us. I had ZERO options for people to remove the snake humanely and at a fair price so I was thrilled when David added this to his ever growing and incredibly helpful list of services! I had a few local companies come out to look at a rat problem in my attic and most were generic larger companies who's technicians knew less about rodent problems that I did and one wanted to come in and do some over the top construction project to pull out all the insulation for $2500. I had wasps on my property. I saw one nest high up in my vaulted eaves. I went first to Angie's List & then Thumbtack. Every single service I called back (3 each website) wanted me to join their Bug Clubs for removal of just one wasp nest. They were very expensive. Every company was selling their packages of visit series & payment installments. A friend Googled "wasp nest services" when hearing of my issue. She found Top Gun Pest Control. He asked questions to ascertain the right method(s) he would need to employ. He was punctual. He was prepared with tools and chemicals. He is personable; salt of the earth and still professional. I learned so much about wasp's nests during his efficient and thorough visit. He shared that wasps are not dangerous and aggressive unless I knock or move their nest. He shared this was late November, a time when wasps look for a spot to build un-interrupted through the winter until spring for the hatching. That nests can get huge by springtime. That it's okay to knock down a nest in the daytime this time of year because there are fewer wasps per nest. David showed me where my FOUR !? nests were. When he knocked the first one down, he showed me the different parts of the nest & it wasn't just an scary, ugly brown mess. With his informative, scientific approach, I could see the construction of it. He ended up getting rid of all four separate nests. He had all the tools to do it safely & cleanly & took all the dead bodies & the downed nests away with him into his fortress of a truck. I took three business cards. I am spreading his company name wherever I can. I told colleagues at work the next shift that I now know of a great pest service. I said to my co-workers & I also say to you, reader, that David is a maverick of the jobs I cannot perform. He is the Top Gun of shooting down problems I need assistance with. David is, by far, the most knowledgeable, conscientious, and thorough pest person we've ever hired. He has been our pest control person for over 7 years now!! When we moved to Coto de Caza from a condo in Irvine, we had NO idea about all the critters that would take resident everywhere. I am terrified of any type of spider and bug, so I hired a large company at first to come out and spray inside and outside our home. They did an awful job, and I spent nights researching pest control. I came across David's pictures looking everywhere for where spiders, bugs, and other critters could enter a home.
