During my dip manicure, the nail tech repeatedly dug her short nail into the sides of my fingers. There was also an awkward seating issue -- the nail tech's legs were positioned under my chair, making it unclear where I was supposed to place my own legs. I've never experienced that before, and combined with the discomfort during the service, it added to an already unpleasant experience. The nails were cut extremely short and filed very rounded, more like a child's nail shape than a modern dip manicure. The color selection also feels outdated and doesn't reflect current trends. Pedicures here are just okay, but overall I've found that consistency and technique vary significantly between nail techs. I called and the gal that answered the phone was super friendly and said I could come on down right then! Score! It was beautiful weather and just a couple of blocks away! Amber was available to cut my hair and we set right to work. She was very good at shampooing and so pleasant and easy to talk to! She did a great job getting rid of my very dry ends and blending and shaping my hair. After blow drying she said she would shape it a bit more.
