But my two issues were 1 the appointment was for 10am, my friend who was getting a pedi didn't get seen until 11am and my nails were shaped TERRIBLY. Nail equipment was unsanitized from the drawer. No skill with applying builder gel- gooops and uneven application resulting in builder gel adhering to cuticle and being overly thick. Works too fast and assumes she knows what you want, when you give feedback your feedback is corrected instead of accommodated. Builder gel refill literally refills the top of the nail bed as with acrylic, while neglecting the rest of the nail bed--although in the long run this damages the entirety of the builder gel you initially invested in. Poor eye sight and messy technique results in bumpy uneven hardened builder gel- it passes to the naked eye, but technique is not there. Can't wait for nails to grow out so my cuticles aren't stuck to the builder gel. No skill. Update: my last few gel manicures here have been pretty hit or miss. Pretty much every time I go the clear polish gets all over my cuticles and fingers and I have to go home and peel it off. Update TN just got a new product in place of acrylics-It's called SNS GELOUS Powder -all natural no fumes hardly any drill use for thin and FAST tips. I decided to let the professional handle it. They require all tips to be in cash by they also add an 8% charge for paying in credit, and had me walk to the ATM with my flip flops on when it was freezing out (a block and a half away) *gasp*! Had the audacity to tell me she couldn't file my nails properly because they were too weak. Not kidding! They are weak because you literally just DRILLED THEM OFF! I have naturally very long and very healthy natural nails. It is going to take months for the damage that she did to my nail to grow out. Had I known she was going to completely ignore my instruction on removal u would have removed myself at home. She rushed through the entire manicure. I tried this place because it's close to work and I didn't have time to make it to my usual place. I was excited because they have a good selection of colors including mood colors, which I got. LOVE the color but in less than 2 weeks it has started cracking and won't last until the vacation I am leaving for and was excited to have my mood color for.
