I stopped in for a quick eyebrow wax and it was the best visit. The female tech was great. She showed me how i had a little dip in my eyebrow and fixed it for me. I was comfortable the entire time. I paid $20-$25 with tip. I can not remember at this moment. I just remember it being worth it and resonable. The salon was very clean. I did take notice at some customers nails and they looked fantastic. I told my friend if I am ever in the area I would come back here. Their location is in a cute part of Philadelphia. There was plenty of parking on the street near by. read more

I found this place basically walking around and from the outside I was like "oh my God it looks like the spot!" So I went online and set up a reservation for 630pm, wandered around for a little bit and came back. I was immediately greeted and told to pick out colors. I was then offered a drink list (virgin moscato me, please), then seated. The girl that helped me was absolutely amazing. She was so gentle with me, took her time cleaning up my cuticles and making sure that my nails were healthy before she applied my gel x nails. We were going back-and-forth about the length and I'm a long nail girl so we tried some medium length ones. I hated them, so she tried another set that was just right. I started off with a green color which she told me that we would have to apply too many coats for it to look right, even though it was a very beautiful color. So we opted for a different color which is more of a sky blue with hints of purple. I absolutely adore the color. I cannot say enough, how wonderful the experience was! How gorgeous my nails look, and it was less than $100. I left her a hefty tip and I set up my next appointment for three weeks. I will be returning. read more

I absolutely enjoy coming here. It's quiet and relaxing and the service is consistently good! The shop is a small but wide open space with manicure stations in the front and back and pedicure stations lining the wall in the back. There's always soft tissue music playing, which adds to the servicing experience helping me to relax even more. I usually see Nina for my pedi and Ivy for my mani. Nina is gentle and efficient; Ivy is precise and creative! The level of attention they give and the overall quality of service keeps me coming back! read more

Id recommend for regular or gel mani / pedis but not Gel X extensions. The pros: - staff is lovely - salon feels really nice and upscale - no nail polish smell and they offer tea / coffee / champagne The pedicure I got was great, regular polish, wonderful job shaping and thorough checking for smudges several times before I left (I had toes done first then hands). Gel X unfortunately I wouldn't recommend. I got them done on a Thursday and by Sunday one popped off that night. By Monday morning another lifted and popped off. I called but couldn't come in as I was leaving town. I was told that they do these all the time and 'never have this issue.' I didn't put any wear and tare on my nails, so it wasn't me. I asked for a refund since I'll need to get them redone and cannot come in for repair. The manager was supposed to call me and has not. Today, Tuesday, two more nails are lifting already. I've gotten Gel X for two years now, and based on how cleanly these came off, and looking at my nail bed and the under-side of the extension the issue is clearly adhesive application. The adhesive was only applied to the bottom half of my nail, leaving the top half to of my nail, and top half of the extension, with no adhesive. Again, I loved so much about this place but would plan on going for regular manis and pedis, but not Gel X. read more

I like my nails natural meaning without polish but I do like them to be well trimmed, oval shaped and looking nice and clean. I do get callouses on my feet from time to time and need them to be removed as much as possible. I enjoy coming to this salon because the staff is friendly and welcoming. This place royally messed up my nails. I am on my second round of antibiotics to fix the infections from both my pedicure and gel X. Their tools are dirty, they removed my gel X for free and said I could return in two weeks but I will NEVER trust this salon!!! read more

Arielle did such a beautiful job I'm in love! It was my first time getting Gel X and I wanted something Lunar New Year themed, she did exactly what I asked for, was precise and efficient, and gave great color recommendations. The massage at the end was lovely. There are snacks and free water. The designs cost extra but these are my favorite nails to date, and I can't wait to come back. read more

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this salon. I got a full set of GelX nails and 3 nails popped off within a week of getting them done. I've been getting GelX for years and have never had a single nail pop off like that before. When I went in for the third time in a week to get yet another nail fixed, I asked if they could do anything for me since I paid $125 for a set that was holding up like cheap press ons. They said it was "odd" that the nails had popped off like that but I would just have to keep coming back to get them fixed. I was trying to be very understanding, but I was upset that they wouldn't even offer a discount on my next set. $125 and I'm back in the salon 3 times in one week? I don't have time for that & it's doing double the damage to my natural nails underneath. I'm sad that the closest salon to my place offering GelX did such a poor job & did not own the mistake. I've been looking for a good salon since I moved to the area & this one unfortunately is not it. read more

I was visiting Philly and desperately needed my nails done. I was impressed with the fact that walk ins are accepted here and they were able to help me right away. I wanted to treat myself so I chose to get the jelly pedicure and let me tell you, hands down, it was the best pedicure I've ever had in my life. She was very meticulous and extra diligent with the massage, which I can appreciate considering most places are like two minute massage and done. My feet were the softest they've ever been. I had originally come in for acrylic nails like I normally get, but she had convinced me to get the gel x manicure. This was a great recommendation considering I'm never going back to acrylic. I'm huge on the shape and thickness of the nail and these are ON POINT. Not to mention, it took no more than 30 minutes to finish the manicure. Nothing worst than sitting in the nail salon for hours on end, so this experience was top tier. She also gave me a little shoulder massage at the end! Will visit again when I'm back in Philly! read more

I'm here traveling for business; this cute nail place was so peaceful, relaxing vibe & I felt the warmth/relaxing nature of all staff upon entering. It smelled great, clean and simple layout - calming music and definitely more of a spa vibe. I got right in, no apt necessary. I sunk into a cozy chair, was given a ginger tea and treated myself to the Golden pedicure -- I do work on my feet after all! Great service, peaceful atmosphere & worth the $$. My tech didn't rush through, she took her time & made my service about relaxation which is what I was craving. Thank you for a positive experience, it was so refreshing to unplug. It was nice to find a nail salon with a calming environment, was not the type of place blaring music, music videos on all the screens - it was the opposite - I could've fallen asleep during my service. I will note, there's a larger nail place across the street (also a B name) that I almost went to by mistake. The little sidewalk sign helped and led me where I actually meant to go. :) read more

Just came from there the best pedicure I ever had in my life very cheap very nice. They start you off with a foot massage in hot stones. That massage. Your leg and foot and they put hot wax on your heels very cheap for 40$dollars I highly recommend that salon read more

Overpriced... Regular acrylic was $87 yet a block down the street it cost about $50. I am from MD and figured the price would be reasonable. Took daughter out to get her nails done for her birthday and was quite surprised by the price. Nails were not particularly nice. 20 year old daughter shared the nails were too thick and nails hurt when complete. read more

This will be my salon of choice from now on! I moved to Philly about a year ago and had been looking for a nail salon. I have tried multiple salons, and none of them were to my liking. I've been to Blossom twice now. My first gel manicure lasted an entire month! I've had gel manicure other places in Philly, not even last 2 weeks. I received a ton of compliments. My second go round. I got the Vegan Spa pedicure as well. I have sensitive skin, and the products did not irritate me at all. The woman who did my pedicure was so kind and took her time. They're super friendly and offer their customers drinks. I was not thirsty, but they did not hesitate to make the woman next to me hot tea when she asked. A kind gesture goes a long way. It's relaxing and quiet and a way better setting than their always busy competition across the street. Great nails! Kind people! Excellent service! read more

I visited Blossom nail bar about 4 weeks ago while I was in Philly for my husband's business trip. I had not had time to get a manicure-pedicure before i left on the trip, so was looking through yelp and had never seen a place with such high reviews. i decided to try Blossom and ended up having one of THE BEST mani/pedis i had ever had. The pedicure lasted over an hour and my feet were softer than I ever dreamed possible. I got the $70 pedicure and it was worth every penny. The massage was incredible! The owner did my dip manicure and even gave me a little extra back massage after it was finished. I have gotten so many compliments on the shape and color of my nails and my nails have lasted the longest they have ever lasted. Oh, how I wish I lived closer to this salon so I could go there more often. I highly recommend them. The owner's daughter is a nail artist. If I ever find myself in Philly again, I will try her nail art. The ones I saw her do was impressive. read more

I came here for the first time as a surprise gift for my mom's birthday and loved it!! The location was convenient and the decor was very cute. We both got pedicures which were so nice and were even served free wine. My mom got a regular manicure and I got a dip mani, both of which came with a little back massage at the end. All of our nails were so well done! We both agreed this was the best mani pedi we've ever had and we felt so pampered (both of my services were done by Niva who was awesome!) read more

I cheated on my nail salon when I broke my NECK walking past this place because they have a display of polishes in their window that are colors and textures unlike anything I've seen at any other salon. I knew I had try them. I stopped in first to make sure the color selection was indeed gel polish. It was! Excitedly, I made an appointment for my mani buddy and myself later that afternoon. After making the appointment, I googled the salon - just to see how the reviews were. A new location, there weren't many, but I did stumble upon their Groupon page where they were running a Groupon for a $28 gel mani (a 20% discount)! This was perfect for me since I am always apprehensive trying a new salon. Before purchasing, I called the salon back to let them know we would be purchasing the groupon. The woman who answered the phone told me not to bother buying it, they would honor the special. Great!!! My friend and I arrived on time and were seated completely separately, literally across the salon from one another, despite there being two open seats directly to my left. Why?? She left before I did and we didn't speak the entire time. My mani was just ok. The cuticle nipping was non-existent. I was shocked and almost sick about it. It's difficult for me to nip my own cuticles, this is literally what I pay for. She didn't nip ANY...but I went home and cleaned them up myself and was generally satisfied with the polish job. When I went to check out, I was charged $5 additional for removing my gel polish. This is understandable as I arrived with another salon's polish on my nails. I charged my $33 service and left a nice tip. FLASH FORWARD to my second time at this salon. I went by myself this time and, to be completely honest with you, I should have known better, but they were still running the groupon and when I arrived, I asked her to honor the special again and she said she would. I actually filed and shaped my own nails the night before the service. I knew I was changing my nail shape and did not want to entrust that to a nail tech. That being said, when I told her that I filed them last night she confirmed with me that she was leaving the shape. She proceeded to NOT FILE THEM AT ALL. Followed up quickly by NOT NIPPING MY CUTICLES AT ALL. She did a fine paint job. My nails look good, ngl, but that's because I've been shaping them and nipping my own cuticles. I go to check out and she tells me it's $40. I ask her to honor the groupon price, and she tells me that she can only do that if I pay cash. I say fine, I'll pay full price but where is the extra $5 coming from? OH. THEY CHARGE A $5 POLISH REMOVAL FEE. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. This is unacceptable. Removing my previous polish that YOU applied is part of the service. You cannot paint my nails if the existing polish remains, therefore removing that polish is STEP A1 of doing my nails. RIP OFF. Either build the cost into your mani price or make it very clear ahead of time. Business "tactics" like this are actually disgusting. Oh, and to top it off, the girl who did my nails both times was on her phone the entire time. Literally. I thought she was talking to me but she was speaking into airpods. The whole time. It was like being in a taxi. In fact, you could probably get this same experience doing your own nails in the back of a cab for less money. Avoid. read more

I have been going to Ivy for almost 3 years and she consistently does the best nails I've ever had... And I've never gotten the same design! She is always willing to try new nail art and is really professional and talented. The gel x never breaks or peels and they last a really long time even though I am rough on my hands. The salon is clean and peaceful and they also do the best pedicures. Highly recommend! read more
