I can never bring myself to believe it that a business could refuse to follow a court order for so long. I spent endless time and energy during this period and I hope you, whomever reading this review, could save your life and stay away from this company. What's both funny and frustrating is that this is not really a "win" for me - I'm literally just getting back my extra money paid to another provider to clean up Pacific Pest Mgn's mess. I cannot even collect interest because they filed SC-105 when I was out of the town, so the case was automatically closed after 10 days without the typical 10% annual interests (total $237.55).

Wildlife technician David came to our house and performed an assessment to determine possible entry points that needed to be repaired. I completed assessments with multiple companies and decided on Critter Control because David was so kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough with his work (kudos to you David!) He was happy to answer all my questions and it really put me and my family at ease. His assessment report was so detailed and we were quoted such a great price compared to other companies. Their process is straight forward, they are transparent with their costs and don't try to push additional services that you don't need. We finished our repairs a couple of weeks ago and we went from hearing movement in the attic every single day to pure silence. As someone with a severe phobia of rodents, thank you David and the front office team for your help! I can finally sleep peacefully at night. P.S. I hope we never have pest issues again but if we do, we 100% will be using Critter Control

He'd call us if he was running behind or if he couldn't make it on the scheduled day. So then it seemed like no one came out for a couple of months, or if they did, we had no idea they were because we never saw them/they never communicated. On the days they would call us and let us know they were coming it was always someone different. They never come on days that are convenient days, so we can't have them come inside and treat inside because we are either not home or are not prepared. At least with our scheduled days we'd be able to prepare. One of the things I liked about Orkin was that we could schedule touch up services at no attritional cost, but every single touch up service I've scheduled was not fulfilled. Defeats the purpose of having any kind of pest control if they don't come out and control the pests.

**Update:** After…read moreweeks of waiting, the manager finally responded. The manager, Luis Ramirez, is also the same person who came to my home, took pictures of the damage, and took away the paint chips and pieces of textured wall that were found on my carpet during the inspection. Despite seeing the damage himself and having the evidence in his possession, Luis Ramirez denied that Orkin's inspector caused the damage. His explanation made absolutely no sense. When someone leans a telescoping ladder against a textured wall and puts his body weight against that ladder while climbing into an attic, how is it possible that the wall would not be damaged? What is even more disappointing is that Luis Ramirez was the person responsible for handling my complaint. Instead of taking responsibility and trying to resolve the issue, he denied that any damage occurred from their inspection. Based on my experience, I do not believe Luis Ramirez was honest or forthcoming in handling this matter. If this is how a manager handles customer complaints and property damage, it raises serious concerns about how this location operates. A customer should be able to trust that their home will be treated with care and that the company will take responsibility when their service causes damage. I have tried to resolve this matter directly with Orkin, but I have been unable to reach a fair resolution. I will now be pursuing legal action against Luis Ramirez and this Orkin location to recover the cost of repairing my damaged wall. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in this company. I would strongly caution anyone considering using this location to think twice before allowing them into your home.

Sorry, this report is from about a year ago. I meant to post it back then, but I completely forgot…read more We started hearing animals running around in our attic. One day, there was an extremely loud noise coming from the water heater closet. When we checked, we found that the insulation board covering the attic access above the water heater had been broken through. The instruction manual attached to the water heater had been chewed into pieces, with shredded paper scattered all over the floor. It looked pretty alarming, so we immediately called Rodent Control Inc. When they arrived, they told us the damage had been caused by rats. They explained that there are two types of rats--small rats and large rats. After spending quite a bit of time inspecting the attic and taking several photos, they told us there was a large amount of rat droppings and rated the infestation as a 9 out of 10 in severity. They said it needed immediate attention. Their proposed solution was to seal all possible entry points around the crawl space and roof, remove the contaminated insulation, disinfect the attic, and charge us more than $5,700. Replacing the insulation would cost even more. The next day, we contacted another company, Ratting on Rodents, for a second opinion. They told us that the type of damage we described was much more consistent with squirrels than rats. Sure enough, they found a dying squirrel in the corner of the water heater closet and removed it. They then inspected the roof and discovered that the metal chimney cap had fallen off. They explained that the squirrel had most likely entered through the chimney. That same day, they replaced the chimney cap, sealed the opening above the water heater closet, and repaired six damaged crawl space vents around the exterior of the house. They also noted that the droppings in the attic did not appear to be fresh, but set traps in both the attic and the crawl space as a precaution. They returned one to two weeks later to inspect the traps and also provided a one-year warranty, promising to come back if any rodent issues reappeared. The total cost for everything was only $1,150. I have never heard anything since then. The problem is gone! Based on my experience, Rodent Control Inc. seems to excel at sales and customer service, but they were unable to accurately identify the root cause or recommend the appropriate solution. I would strongly encourage homeowners to get a second opinion before committing to an expensive proposal. In our case, another company solved the actual problem for about one-fifth of the cost. Good service is important, but accurate diagnosis and effective solutions are what ultimately matter.
