My neighborhood in Fremont has tons of cockroaches outside at night in the Spring and Summer. We never see them in the house, but they're on the patios and walkways outside. We're having a backyard party next Saturday night, and had Banner treat twice in the past few weeks to solve the problem. The technicians have been super friendly and knowledgeable. Please don't Use Banner for the pets control. They increased the price without any notification. When I asked them about the price, they told me to keep the price $115 on Sep. 5,2025, But the billing team never changed the price. After I found out my credit card still charged $150 per service. They kept saying they sent out the notice of price change on May 28th. Poor customer service, you better to remember that what you have told to the customer. read more

I feel like I was really unlucky with my Banner experience and I'm sad I didn't get what all these 5 star reviews got. CSR (customer service rep) #1 Mitch Petersen didn't turn the technician request into a correct service quote. Months later he calls me again regarding another quote which he also reads back to me incorrectly. CSR #2 McKenzie deflects when addressing any issue. CSR #3 & #4 Delmy Ramos or Brayden Ketchie doesn't schedule one of my appointments and I discover this after a no show. After the no show I call and CSR #5 Kayli Gibbons tells me the tech had car problems but I know that's not true because I didn't get an appt confirmation which means someone simply did not schedule it. Not my usual tech shows up unannounced hours later and I'm marked unavailable and Kayli offers to reschedule. CSR #4 Brayden Ketchie takes over the rescheduling and says he will get back to me. He does not get back to me at all the next day so I have to contact Banner before they close for the day. CSR #6 Parker Labrum replies to my message & lets me know my appt is the very next morning and soon after I get the appt confirmation which means either Brayden didn't schedule it or didn't bother to tell me the new appt.... I had a 4 week trapping plan and they didn't catch any rodents. The rodents ate the peanut butter clean off the traps without getting caught. I paid $650 for one month of no results. If you choose Banner, make sure to check everything carefully and follow up repeatedly because the CSRs are not competent and be aware they may not catch the rodents inside your house. read more

I know there are a couple of negative reviews about Banner on Yelp. You know how the saying goes.. You can't please everyone. Some people just don't give businesses a chance to make things right if they have conserns, which is not fair. Although I only used them for two services I got top notch, professional service and will definitley refer them moving forward. read more

We had two services so far and the technicians have been very helpful. Our first technician, Edgar, was shared how we should look for roaches and which are the worst if you have such an infestation; the second technician Jorge understood that we did not need one of the extra services that we had been scheduled for, but that something had been missed from the earlier service. He called his manager and sorted through what could be done and promptly took care of what was missed. I appreciated his initiative so that we could efficiently take care of the issue. We are still trying to figure out some billing issues due to the extra services and hoping to work them out. If the billing department is anything like the technicians, I'm certain it will be sorted. read more

I am extremely disappointed and shaken by the service provided today. Despite a documented request from January to have a different technician assigned to my home due to past unprofessionalism, Joseph Torres was sent to my unit again. This was after i expressed safety concerns due to being a mother home alone with my asthmatic child and newborn. When I calmly asked him to leave, he intentionally and aggressively slammed my front door with extreme force, which terrified my newborn infant and caused him to scream in distress. I have video evidence of this physical intimidation. When I called Banner to report this, I was told there was 'nothing they could do.' It is unacceptable for a service company to allow their employees to use physical intimidation against a mother and children. I have had to involve the San Jose Police for a 'Peace and Protection' standby for any future visits. Avoid this company if you value your safety and professional service. read more

I had this company spray for bed bugs and they a very bad job and never got rid of the problem. The employee came and left with in 15 minutes of them arriving . Supposedly they sprayed two rooms. I checked cameras that I had in the rooms and they did a bad job . They never sprayed my bed or drawers . Their service was bad . The customer service is bad . It will take them several days to respond for service call . They just want your money. read more

I booked an appointment with Banner Pest Services for 7:30am. I was not told a time window for 7:30-9:30am, just 7:30am. No problem, the issue is urgent, a time window is fine. I wake up at 6:30 to make sure everything is ready for them and receive a call at 9:00am saying they need to cancel and there was no replacements available. They said 3 technicians "called out" and apparently they didn't see anything wrong with not calling to inform me prior to appointment time. I have been waiting here for hours only to find out nobody was even coming. Very disappointed and unprofessional. Will find business elsewhere. read more

Banner folks got a pre-approval on my credit card. The proposed expense was $500, but I got charged $1150 on my credit card without email/phone any intimation. They mentioned that they patched up a couple of holes with a mesh wire. That's it! After a long conversation they decided to refund $200 and no more. This is not a good way to insidiously charge extra and that too without permission. Had they told me that for a simple task it will cost $650 extra, I would have found another vendor to do it. I been dealing with these guys for a few weeks. They were suppose to come and patch the whole where the rat was coming in from. I told them that I put poison in the whole and haven't heard it. They were supposed to come two weeks ago Friday. No cancelation just a email saying they were coming another day but I wasn't going to be around so we made it for today. Well the guy showed up with traps. Said oh no he doesn't patch holes. He would need to get somebody else as soon as possible. So far this is the worse pest control company I have had to ever deal with and I was an apartment manager for 25 years in San Francisco. No one ever had to what this long. If I was the one paying they would be fired and I would hire someone that was more competent. I am P I S S off. read more

Buyer Beware! We called Banner to remove a wasp nest under the eves at the peak of the roof on the second story of our house. About 25 feet up. I had a paint crew working on the house and they were stalled until this was resolved. After several e-mails when Banner offered to come out in a week or 10 days, I finally got them to understand the urgency and they agreed to come out in two days. I would be charged $350 to have the nest removed. The technician arrived on time and said he'd knock it down and spray the area. But he took the wrong angle on the nest and knocked part of it down with a long pole. Never sprayed. He was at the house for all of 18 minutes. It was obvious to me after he left that quite a bit of the nesting material was still in place, but I didn't see any wasps so thought it might be okay. After a few days it was obvious there was still part of a nest there, as the wasps returned and the painters pointed out the activity prevented them from continuing. I emailed and texted Banner that the wasps were still active, part of the nest hadn't been removed, and they needed to come out ASAP and finish the job. Instead, they said they normally come out 3 weeks after the first treatment and offered to come out in 9 days. I kid you not. No understanding that they needed to stand by their work and make it good ASAP. And no offer of a refund. I figured I'd be better off doing it myself, so the painters and I were able to spray the next and get the rest of it down. Do yourself a favor and get someone other than Banner to help you. They have no pride of workmanship, no sense of customer service, and they don't stand behind their work. read more

This organization will sell you on the fact that the pesticides they use are environmentally safe and pet friendly. Instead they use pyrethrins which contradict the facts. These pesticides are toxic to humans, cats dogs and all of your beloved pets. The chemicals cause headaches, migraines, breathing problems, seizures and even death! My dog is suffering from extensive diarrhea and hasn't been himself since Banner Pest Services falsely sold me on their "safe methods" for getting rid of pests. Please don't fall for the fake presentation and subject yourself and your pests to an unhealthy environment. read more

After a big rain this year, we were having an small ant problem in our apartment. Our building management called Banner and they sent someone out same day. Andre our technician was great--he explained the options to me and how they worked, recommended bait versus spraying (which I appreciated), was super quick and we had a lovely conversation about art to top it off! Tech came out on first visit and did not remove spider webs from fence around back yard nor did he spray that area; ant service was as described but made ant situation worse and when 2nd service was performed tech did not spray for ants around back of house (he said he did not see them and I told him they were there in the morning), did not spray for spiders around back yard and would not spray under the house where the spiders were coming from. As I cancelled service a rep for the company misrepresented communications that I had with them. Worse pest control I have ever experienced in Northern California. read more

They use false photos and false information to try and prove they do the job. But in fact they use someone else's yard and try to say they have their people do the job. The first time they came to my home it was great after that they sent different technicians that did a very awful job. The longer I stayed with them the worse it got their employees did not do what they said they did last time. The guy was here. He did not put out any granular bait like he said he was going to for the cockroaches, also he did not dust under the eaves like he said he did!!!! I do not recommend them. I was with them for quite a while, and I quit using their service. I was very very disappointed in them. Also would like to add when I first started Jimmy Nguyen was great. Stay away from these frauds. I had a full building exclusion done with them not long ago. What was agreed to be a one day job ended up taking two months because their technicians would either not show up, or miss a hole and you have to call them to come back. I basically let that go but what they did today really pissed me off. They are not honoring the one-year warrantee I signed with them! My tenant recently discovered a big hole on a vent behind the washing machine. They aren't willing to patch it because "we don't cover anything we didn't find the first time"! What?! What about "full exclusion and peace of mind"? Would never do business with such a fraudulent company again. The only plus might be that they have an army of front desk people and your call is always answered in 5 minutes. But that's it! 9 times out of 10 you make an appointment with them and they would either come way too early, too late, or not come at all! read more

My backyard ADU found a few pests last week. I called Banner on Monday. Ben Taylor explained the treatments they provide and make an appointment on Wednesday 3:30pm. The technician, John, arrived on time. He communicated with me what needs to be done first and went to bathroom to investigate what the pests are. He identified they are carpenter ants immediately and explained to me the water leakage may be the reason. Later he led me to my backyard telling me the ants are from my neighbor tree's branches that dangling on the fence. I am glad to find the root cause from John. We have spent 4 months watching Banner repeatedly bungle our attic rodent situation. Inattentive work, multiple mistakes, many excuses, and some gaslighting when they tried to convince me the scratching in my attic was animals on my roof.
