At this point, I have been frequenting this place for nearly a year. And, it /has/ been my go-to place for a year. I was craving pho for lunch but was on the wrong side of town, far from Federal Blvd where I usually find my fix. Yelp helped me find this place and I couldn't have been happier. The service was prompt, courteous, and gracious. The restaurant was full of satisfied faces. The food came out lighting fast. Pretty darn good pho place. They give some delicious spicy beef on the house and the pho has plenty of noodles and all the regular fixings. I definitely dipped it in my pho broth and the flavors melded together well. The surroundings are a bit dim and the floors were kind of slippery, but the food was surprisingly good. Yeah, I know. I've already reviewed another Pho place, but I can't help it. I'm addicted to the savory broth. Based on some positive reviews, we tried Top Pho the other night and I am really glad we did. As far as Pho restaurants go, it's a clean and well-kept establishment. As far as Pho goes, the broth is up there with some of my favorites in town (specifically Pho 7.) The owner is friendly and he dropped off the spicy beef for us to try (which, in looking at the other reviews, he does for everyone) and he will NOT leave until you try it. I gave him my "I don't like spicy food" speech but he just stood there. So I tried a tiny bit - and I'll be honest. Though the spice was FAR too much for me, it was still pretty fantastic. Bonus - they have that awesome piped in music that features Asian versions of 1970's and 1980's top 40 hits. The kind that you listen to for 15 minutes before you think "Hey is that Olivia Newton John's 'I Honestly Love You?'" If you find yourself on this stretch of Colfax, drop in to Top Pho, it's worth it and you can play "guess the music" while you eat. read more

I've sampled a lot of great pho on the west side of town (Federal Blvd) and this is just as good as the best out there. Not too shabby for a little out of the way place on East Colfax. The parking lot isn't very big but the inside space sure is. There's plenty of room for a large group or just an intimate meal. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if I'm in the area it's a great option on a cold day. They are very accommodating here and are very very friendly. I've never been to a pho restaurant where they actually refill your water!!! Every table gets a spicy beef appetizer on the house. At night, this neighborhood looks sketchy, but it might be worth the trek over. I ordered a small chicken pho, and it came with a LOT of noodles and plenty of chicken. The broth tasted good and similar to other pho places I've been to. They give a complimentary small dish of spicy beef. If you want your tongue to feel like it's on fire, you should definitely have some of it. It tastes almost like korean bbq. The restaurant set up is cramped and crowded.
