So the first time I went in, I had a young petite female help me with a fill, and she did a very good job. She was thorough, asked how I wanted my nails shaped and cut and continually checked in to see if I liked the way they were looking. She was careful and very good with her work. She also had a fair price point for a fill. The next time I came in, I had a young male with short hair with blonde highlighted tips in his hair. He was not good at all. He kept nicking my skin to the point my thumb was bleeding, he did not shorten my nails when I specially asked, and he also added an additional $10 to the cost of my fill. The overall quality of the salon is good, but I do not advise to go with this specific gentlemen if you decide to go in. He was sloppy and did not notice that he was cutting into my skin, even when I was grunting and said he was getting too close to my skin. read more

I used to love going here so I write this regretfully; went to get a full gel set with coffin nails (I understand extra fees for shape) but it came out to $50 for the nails. Full sets are typically $40 with a $5 fee for shape (what I was initially told). To make things worse, not even 4 days after leaving I had 4 nails pop off. Keep in mind I work at home and have a dishwasher so they weren't getting banged around or had stress put on them. Been coming to this location since august. There are plenty of great nail salons in canton, however, I moved to a condo around the corner I figured I'd give it a chance. I have been pretty happy with the manis and pedis I received. I have walked in many times and have had many different nail techs. Some were good, some not the best but ok. I came across Helen and since then I request her everytime I go. She's patient and takes her time perfecting the job. I leave soooo happy everytime. Anything I can, she does and works with me. She introduced me to the dip powder which I love!! I don't think I can go back to shellac again. I also have issues with my big toe's ingrown toenail and she has helped relieve that pain for me. I highly suggest requesting her. She's sweet, kind, easy to communicate with, never makes me feel rushed, and does a beautiful job. Besides her, I will say a lot of the nail techs there take pride in their work and do their best to make gorgeous designs but can be hard to communicate with. I am giving four stars because one time I had a tech who didn't necessarily give me what I asked for but somehow upcharged me without making himself clear to what he was doing. I decided to give this place one last try (it was my cousins birthday and she had a gift card to come here). I went with a shellac manicure this time instead of the dip manicure. The guy who did my nails was super nice. I chose a metallic color, and he used a little magnet looking thing to give my nails a "cat eye" look, which was nice. Where to start? What I thought was going to be a memorable experience turned into me getting ripped off. I was also left with a concern for mine and others safety after being nicked to the point of blood twice. She then took off the sanding drum and handed it to the guy next to her without cleaning it. (I'm clean thank the gods) I should have said something but I was in a bit of shock. It was my first time ever getting my nails done. Back to the start. Its very dark in there. The tech I seen hand a star tattoo on her right hand. I did not get her name. I came with a photo of what I wanted. It took her 2.5 hours to put on one set of what I thought was gel nails. They set in air not light so I got acrylic. Not what I asked for. She didnt push back my cuticles. No manicure, sanded me with used uncleanable files and a dremel. Does not fallow Michigan law. Hand to put my set on twice because she made them so short to start they didn't even cover my skin on my fingertips. Never asked how long I wanted and the stickers to build the nail tips on were old and did not stick to my skin or even to themselves anymore, so my nails first came out crooked, flat, and just ugly.I couldn't see what she was doing being in the back darkest chair but when I got to see them my stomach sank. She then retipped and add bulk to all the nails so she could shape them right using the dremel where she inicked me. She told me $55 after I had been told $35-45 on the phone, then the price jumped to $66 after we (my mom and I) talked about being late because it was taking so long. Saying the time, now after 2 and that we sat down at 1:10 then did she start to hurry. She rushed my paint job and freehanded it all. No stickers to get the lines straight and clean. The paint was gel. That had to set in a light box. I'm happy with the turn out but no way am I $66 dollars happy. I can't believe I left a tip but I just cant be one of those people no matter how upset I am. I called to talk to the manager after and she said it was all to take good care of me. Sure... I also hate that they're speaking a different language and pointing at your nails so you have no idea what they're saying about you. read more

DO NOT go to this salon ever and tell all your peeps in the area the same! I decided to go here because I am unfamiliar with the area and so I checked Yelp for reviews and most seemed to be pretty positive...however, I recommend this place to NO ONE! I got my nails done on Saturday for my birthday (which I never do. I always paint my own nails) Anyways, I got a manicure and picked out a deep red wine color. When the manicurist was done she told me to sit under the dryer, I did and the color changed to a dark purple and the paint had bubbled on every nail. I went back and told the manicurist what happened. She put on 3 more coats of clear polish, told me the bubbles were "my fault" because my nails had been painted before and told me to let them dry. So I let them dry and left. Now, two days later 6 of my nails have chipped, 4 have broken (I have very strong nails and they rarely break) and all of them have white spots/ bubbles on them. In total, the manicurist put 7 coats of polish on my nails, didn't see any issue with the bubbles when I first mention it, and completely ignored the fact that the color had changed! (I had my toes painted purple and didn't really want my nails the same color...) UPDATE: I went back in today (got my nails done Saturday afternoon and it is Tuesday am...my nails were breaking and chipping Sunday afternoon) I went back, CALMLY, (and meekly) explained the situation, showed my nails, and instead of being kind and somewhat understanding, the woman I talked to said, "its not her problem" and there is nothing she can do...I then asked to speak to the manager, she then told me she was the manager... So I quietly told her that she runs a business and that you don't treat customers this way. I asked if she could redo the nails, or offer me a refund or a voucher, she said no to all....I told her that I don't want to give the salon a bad review and that I know a lot of people in the area and I don't want to hurt their business, but I have literally done nothing since I got my nails done that would cause them to break and chip. I told her that I was very happy with my pedicure and that I had had no issues with it, (even though my feet take more of a beating than my hands since I figure skate) on and on... I told he that my boyfriend and I came to the salon and spent over $70 getting pedicures and my manicure and they should treat their customers better. Her final answer was that they don't guarantee "regular manicures" vs shellac one...and that regular polish can chip the next day (and since I was already in an arguing mood) I told her that I've painted my own nails for about 20 years and have used ALL kinds of polish and have NEVER had the polish chip the day after or my nails break off....she told me they only guarantee shellac manicures for 2 weeks and adamantly refused to even meet me half- way with a solution. I then told her that they should state that they don't guarantee regular manicures to their customers beforehand, to which she responded, "everyone knows that regular manicures aren't guaranteed" End of story. She told me she would charge me $14 to do a shellac manicure (which I really didn't want) instead of $20...so I gave in and got the shellac... As if this story couldn't get any worse, the entire staff then proceeded to yell endlessly (in whatever language) to each other, (I'm sure about how "crazy" I was) while the other customers in the salon just stared at me and I successfully had the most embarrassing 30 min of my life thus far. If you go here, good luck! There are so many other places in the area I would advise you to give your service to ANY of the other area salons! read more

I know there are a plethora of nail salons and I've been to many, that being said this is my new favorite! The hallmarks of a "great" salon are clean service/instruments, efficiency and not having to wait forever. Here I found the trifecta! The staff is always eager to help and take you in even if you are on a time crunch. I've found i can call ahead the same day and I've always gotten in on time for my appointment. Yes, sometimes their efficiency to get you out the door can be in haste and something can get missed but I am always diligent to speak up which you've gotta do if you don't like something or a nail isn't polished right! The prices here are competitive/ not overpriced which I appreciate. Dip nails are $35. That aside I had the deluxe pedicure here recently (33 bucks but worth every penny) and it was divine. The scrub used smelled sooo nice and the hot stones while very hot felt great on my sore feet. I have also been here for a regular mani, shellac mani and dipped mani. All have lasted a good amount of time and lasted. The only thing that could use some improving is a more vast selection of colors/ keeping up to date with all the new OPI and Gellish collections and adding more powder dip colorS.
