I've been to a dozen or more nail salons in the Omaha area and this is my favorite! It's a bit of a drive for me but it's worth it! There is a small shared parking lot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are pretty busy on the weekends so I would definitely recommend an appointment especially if you're with multiple people. They do accept walk-ins and have a pretty efficient check in system. They were up front about long wait times.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything is super clean, they have TVs (no sound captions only) and low level chill music playing so you can still read or chat with a friend but aren't overhearing everyone else's conversations. I got the base pedicure and it was $40 (pre-tip) and lasted about 40 minutes. It was the best base level pedicure I've ever gotten. They were super busy but the technician didn't rush at all. He did a great job! The massage chairs were great and they adjust forward and back (hooray for the tall girlies!!!). Lots of options to upgrade if you're looking for a fancy spa like option. I love going to this place they always do a good job, but today I had enough I have worn a acrylics for over two years. I have never bled or been in so much pain while getting them removed. She was so rough and hard on my nails, even when I pulled away in visible pain from my nail bleeding she said nothing, just looked at me weird. I pulled away THREE times from my nail bleeding and burning in pain. Not only did she cause me to bleed she did not wash the wound she caused, or clean the tools or get new ones. But proceeded to still use them on the open wound and my other nails, which is extremely disgusting and definitely some sort of health code violation. When I was done I showed the owner a picture showing my concern i would get an infection, he wanted nothing to do with it he told me sorry and that I was fine. I'm not the one to report a business to the state but if I get some kind of infection action will be taken. read more

The BEST nail salon in omaha hands down. I have been getting long acrylic nails since I was 16 (now 23) and since moving to omaha (3 years ago) I have tried countless nail salons. I was introduced to Winstar by one of my friends a couple months ago and will now forever be grateful for taking the chance. I don't even know where to begin just because of how amazing this business is all around !! Firstly, there is nothing better than when you are able to tell how much pride an owner takes in their business! The owner is always found on the floor, whether greeting guests as they walk in and asking us if we'd like a beverage or helping out his staff his positive presence is felt all around. His warmth overflows onto his staff as well, not a single time have I been met with anything besides complete kindness and positivity. As someone with anxiety the way I am treated at a business has always outweighed the quality of work in forming my opinion however, at Winstar not only are they some of the kindest people I have ever met they also do some of the best work I have ever seen!! Now let me tell you about my girl Sky, to put it simply she kills it every time !! Any nail design idea I throw her way she slays but she also cares about her art. When it comes to nail shape she doesn't do it blindly, she actually looks at your hand and finger shape and does it to suit your specific needs. She is hands down one of the best nail artists of all time and I feel so lucky to have her!! Now on to the pedicures at Winstar, life changing. I'm talking hot stones, I'm talking massage, I'm talking they will actually fix your problem nails and help you on your journey to healthier feet!! I borderline nap every time I get one because of how relaxing they are and leave with jelly legs ! Now money, Winstar not only is clean, gives luxury, and has exceptional customer service, they are economically reasonable. Out of all the salons I have gone to they have some of the best prices I have ever seen making it possible to treat myself in this economy. In summary if you don't go to Winstar you are doing yourself a disservice. They are economically reasonable, some of the friendliest people, care about their quality of services, and will give you nails that will make your friends jealous! I highly recommend WinStar. Each time I have gone I have left extremely relaxed and impressed. The atmosphere is relaxing, and inviting; while still being professional and clean. The manager Micheal is nice, straightforward and efficient. I have had Mary, Danny, Connie, and Rose do my full sets/ pedicures and each one has great attention to detail and wonderful listening skills; you ask- they deliver! My Mom has had Shadow, and my sister had Anna do their nails and they were extremely pleased as well. I usually worry about being cut etc. but they have all been very gentle. I had genuine conversations with Connie and Rose, and felt as if I was talking with an old friend! It was such a treat. Really love this place. Michael the manager is so warm and inviting, there's plenty of space in the salon so it doesn't feel too stuffy, and my wife absolutely loves the designs and artistry. I have been going to this nail spa since they opened. when I first started going it was great. the best massage and great service. it has been sliding downhill in my treatment for the last year but my latest treatment was the last straw. I came in on the fly and typically I do have an appointment but not this day. I was told it would be 20 minutes. no problem. After sitting in the massage chair for 50 minutes I was getting agitated. I then saw michael (manager/owner) start to work on someone that came in and she even motioned to me and he whispered something to me. Well that was enough for me I went to put my shoes back on and then he finally Came over. It had been 1 hour and 20 minutes. I told him I could no longer wait and somehow that was enough for him to start my pedicure. Well. I really should have left because my feet were wrill try. The nail polish chipped within a week. Very disappointed :( I came in as a walk in at 3:30, expecting a wait. I got sat 45 mins later, & sat there without water for another 10. When asked what color I wanted, I asked for a simple red, the nail tec came back with 4 options, none of which were red. (I ended up just picking a purple she brought because i was getting impatient) She barely scrubbed my feet, the massage lasted less than 3 mins & the hot rocks were cold. I was in need of a pedi bad & feel like i need another one. They also had a puppy running around the salon, which was cute but very distracting to my nail tec as she kept stopping what she was doing to get the dog's attention. read more

So I requested to fix and the owner belittled and disrespected me along with hanging up. He said he would charge for a new fill. -to fix THEIR mistake. had a pedicure and was less than impressed. It was rushed and just a bad experience. They don't even use lotion on your feet for a pedicure ...they will Massage with oil. (at least they didn't with mine!) They also did not use a base coat--and I had them use red nail polish. The whole experience was a bad one and I definitely won't be back. I would find a different place to go to. When I called to speak with the manager Michael he accused me of lying and was extremely rude to me. He also has no idea what happened during the pedicure bc halfway through he got up and someone else finished the process. So maybe they didn't realize what he had done? Not sure. I am frustrated and disappointed to be writing this review. I've been to Winstar several times and have always left happy. Today, I got there before 4:30 and asked for a shellac pedicure (note: their posted hours are until 5 pm) and was told they were already closed, which was clearly not the case. I understand I arrived late in the day, but I have personally witnessed them accommodate customers well past their posted closing time. I would not be posting here if I had simply been told they could not stay past their posted closing time today and I'd have to come back. However, to be told they were closed when they clearly were not took me by surprise and had me very frustrated. I will likely be back for another chance, but this left me very confused by what had previously been an excellent customer service experience. read more

Some of my friends and I were excited to come for the first time after seeing all the good reviews and hearing good things from friends. Immediately when we walked in the door we were greeted with surprise that there was three of us, which we had stated twice in a voicemail and a phone call. Then one of us was told that the nails we wanted looked "kiddish" and like playdoh... telling her to get something different and when she did he said he was happy she listened to him. I went in with a photo, and I completely understand artistic freedom but the nails I received were nothing like what I wanted. There was a $15 difference between having rhinestones versus not. I got an acrylic fill and was charged what seemed like a price for a full set? My other friend got simple French tips and was charged almost the same price as a full set with a design on it. Not to add the fact that the manager called one of my friends "baby girl" which is not very professional. The nails turned out okay, I'm not happy with my nails, but the overall experience was not great. It seems like the list of negative things could go on, but will for sure not be returning to this nail salon. read more
