Mike and his team are super responsive and professional, fixing our leaky roof in less than 2 days. The long story: We woke up yesterday morning during a rainstorm and discovered water dripping from an upstairs bathroom ceiling. I called Top Quality Roofing, expecting to have to leave a message,. Mike answered right away and told me he'd be by in a few hours. He kept his word and quickly assessed the issue as best as he could from the attic, since it was still raining and unsafe to climb up on the roof. He let me know he'd inspect the roof more fully once the rain stopped, and texted me in the late afternoon to let me know it was still too wet, but he'd be by this morning. We are 25 year residents of San Clemente and owners of a 25 year old home with the original roof. Found him as a referral from the wholesaler of roof tiles. Likeable church going older guy/surfer who initially responded quickly, spent a long time on the roof diagnosing a leak, and did a quick repair of the leak as a side job in his spare time between jobs. Had to wait a while until he was free. Once done he even showed me the part that was "defective"-- what would I know about this part? Felt a bit gimmicky. He did not charge too much. When the repair immediately failed, he never returned my repeated calls. Bottom line, gave them an extra star fur being fair in pricing of their quick fix but they ultimately did not fix the problem, and left me in a lurch by not returning my calls when their repair failed. Others may see it as them screwing me over for not finishing the job they stated, tipical undependable construction guys. They basically want the major jobs of reroofing. Top Quality Roofing in San Clemente is a 30 year old family owned business. Mike, the owner, works closely with his son, Shane & other workers as well. My house was built in 1952 and the 30 year old roof was leaking like a sieve during the torrential rains in Nov. 2019. Mike's company worked like a magic machine on my roof. Outstanding, honest, family-owned company. Mike (father) and Shane (son) were recommended by our remodeling contractor several years ago when our old roof was leaking badly during a winter storm. Shane (Mike claims it was he but I'm pretty sure it was Shane) came over on a stormy Sunday and put down some new paper to stop the leak. When more leaks occurred over the next few years, we made the decision to reroof this year. Top Quality's bid was at least as good as others so it was a comfortable decision to hire them. Mike allowed us to pick the install date, assisted in having samples of Spanish tiles delivered for us to choose from, and started exactly as promised. His tearoff crew was efficient and then Mike and Shane proceeded to work their butts off with quite a lot of wood replacement and custom flashing. They allowed for a termite fumigation in the middle of the installation, and even helped paint some of my fascia boards (since getting a painter out here might take an act of God). They finished exactly on schedule, left my yard clean and undamaged. We needed new gutters and Mike recommended Out of The Gutter who were also outstanding. I strongly recommend this company for repairs or new roof. Why, Mike even put up with my big dog, who had it in for him (not Shane, LOL) for some reason--must be the Hawaiian hat and sunglasses! read more

May 18, 2016 We are pretty particular people. Some may even say very persnickety! Top Quality Roofing removed and replaced our entire roof last week and we couldn't be happier with the job they did. This is a family business that takes pride in their work. Mike, the dad, and Shane, his son, were on the job everyday throughout the process. During the tear off of the old roof, they were here supervising the outside crew who removed the old roof and from that point on, they were on the roof everyday working hard to install the new one. From the time they started to the time they finished, it was evident they were both pros who took a great deal of pride in their work. Besides their level of roofing skill, they communicate very well both with each other and with the client/homeowner. Having a good channel of communication with the folks working on your home is a high priority to us and Mike and Shane always kept us in the loop throughout the project. We found them to be men of integrity, respectful and honest. Their bid was very competitive and there wasn't any pressure to add additional upgrades to the original bid. While we did decide to add some attic vents after conducting our own research, Mike installed them at a very reasonable price during the job. Mike and his son are very nice and professional. When I asked Mike to check out our roof, Mike found a couple of leaks. But because Mike was leaving for a vacation in a couple of days, so he inserted metal plates as a temporary layer to block rain water free of charge. Then after he came back from vacation, he and his son Shane promptly repaired the roof. To make sure the water leak is truly fixed, Mike even got into our small attic and crawled through small space between the wood beams to check if there is any water. Mike and Shane are honest and give very reasonable estimates. They are also very responsible and experienced and do an excellent job.
