Broke my virginity today in trying a nail spot in NJ. Researched so many for over an hr this am lol. So many have eh reviews, eh pics, and required deposits as well as no walk ins. What is that about? Happy to find this nail salon, walk ins accepted and I called to get a feel of phone etiquette as well as confirm that I can walk in. They asked what time I was coming and take walk ins but prefer appointments, no problem, understood! 10/10. Small parking lot with street parking nearby. On arrival I was greeted warmly by Kim and immediately taken. Pedicure first, then did a fill in. Kim was cool AF, aside from me only working with her I witnessed the other two women be just as cool. It was my first time here and I highly recommend this nail salon. Being a stylist I know a talented person/salon. The woman who did my nails just did her thing as I asked because I knew I could trust her. It was clean and just a great vibe the whole time. She let me relax and knew exactly what to do for me. I couldn't have picked a better place. The other lady there was also a really wonderful nail artist. That's the main thing. They are wonderful artists and definitely have a client for life. Been coming to top rose since June and I've been loving it! Anna is so good and so kind. And her nail art is amazing!

After seeing all the other reviews I was a little worried but I decided to try the place out anyways. I called made an appt for 1pm on a Sunday. First I loved the soft calming music playing in background, the place looked clean and not run down. i was greeted with hello from the staff and told to pick a color which I did. There was a couple of ppl getting their pedi done before me but by the time I picked a color which took me 5 min they called me and told me they were ready for me which I love that the wait was minimal. I had Kim she was absolutely amazing cleaned my feet and left them like a baby's bottom so soft and smooth!! She also informed me that the place is under new management which made me feel at ease. Do not come here. I had a 5:30 appt and found myself sitting for a good 20 minutes. The gel manicure I got is seriously lacking. I pointed out the blatantly obvious mistakes and they were half heartedly fixed. I am so mad because I have my brother-in-law's wedding this weekend. I will probably end up getting them redone. I haven't been here since the new management has taken over, seeing other comments made me a bit worried. I called to set an appointment today because it's conveniently located by my house. I showed up ten minutes early, so I expected to wait. I first noticed only two women were working so I thought I'd be waiting forever. My appointment was at 3:30pm. I was in the in the pedicure chair by 3:45pm. Not bad to other places! The salon is very clean and seemed so much bigger since the last time I was there. Both women were very welcoming and noticed me when I walked in, which going to other salons where that doesn't happen, immediately made me comfortable. The women who did my manicure and pedicure (I didn't get her name, unfortunately) was great! She knows what she's doing and wants you to be happy with her work but more importantly how you feel about yourself! She's also hilarious! Maybe my experience was better than most comments because it wasn't super busy but I will be going back! They did a fantastic job! read more

Update--- So disappointed! Since the family retired, and have backed out of operations, I've been twice and both times were a disappointment! The first time, they forgot my appointment and I had to wait a half hour .. the second time, the new manager forgot to write down my appointment and I waited a whole hour. He had me in a pedi chair in the warm water with no indication of when my pedi would start.. and one of the other customers had been waiting a half hour and asked me how long I'd been waiting. I said an hour and I'm an a** . I left.. wet feet and all and haven't been back. I used to love this place!! As I said.. I hate to wait. i don't mind paying $$, but if I have an appointment and they waste my time, I feel terribly undervalued,.. --------- I've been going to this nail salon off and on since they opened. It is a small shop, family owned and operated and I am always happy with the result! I get pedicures and gel manicures and they always come out looking great and last for a long time. They always last at least 2 weeks before chipping or starting to come up, and generally need to be replaced only due to the new growth at the bottom of the nail. On Saturdays you definitely need an appointment as there are usually only 2 to 4 stylists and I hate to wait. The place is friendly, and the prices are fair. Only once have I seen an unhappy customer. It was a young high school girl who had her eyebrows waxed for the prom, and her skin was red and irritated from the wax. The owner, John, gave her money back and apologized, although it is not that unusual for waxing to irritate the skin, especially the first time if you are not used to it. I have always been very happy with the service, and very happy with the results, and so are the other customers when I am there. read more

I'm very unhappy with this place. It had been my "go to" when I was just getting a regular manicure and pedicure. I got a gel manicure there and was happy the first two times, but then when I went back for my third gel manicure with a pedicure the girl had me dunk my nails in a bowl of acetone nail polish throughout the entire pedicure instead of doing the "wrap with aluminum foil and cotton" way that was done previously. Not to mention that the smell was unpleasant and my finger tips were shriveling up and the acetone was getting into my bloodstream, but I couldn't turn on the massage feature of the chair for fear of spilling the acetone onto my lap. When I tried to speak to her about it she did not understand English. I have found a new place and I will never go back to Top Rose Nails II. read more

Got there at 9am when the person opened up the store looking for a pedicure, she sat me in pedi chair filled so I can put my feet in then another women walked in for her fill in, not sure if she had an appointment or not she leaves me in the chair amd starts taking care of the lady telling me amother worker will be in shortly well 35 min later my feet soaking in cold water she tells me she doesnt know when the ladys coming and I can go if I want. The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean and my acrylic manicure was decent, but the last time I got a pedicure done it was TERRIBLE. They rushed through it and put only one coat of polish, it didn't even look like I got a pedicure done. I was not happy with the results and ended up going home just to paint them myself. read more

Since they switched owners it's been terrible. Always got cut during a manicure, they gave a terrible pedicure, they put one layer of polish and didn't even give gel polish which I had asked for. I have been going here awhile and never had a problem. It was always family owned and operated. The last couple times I went, there was all new staff, new products, new prices and so on. I thought I would give these new people a chance. Big mistake. The girl that was doing my nails cut my finger with the drill, blood ran all over my finger and the nail tech if you want to call her that started texting on her cell phone and ignored me and my bleeding finger. After about 5 minutes, she put her phone down, saw my finger and poured blue liquid on it. This made it burn like crazy!!! I was in so much pain, my finger became swollen, i had some numbness and a blue tint to the top of my finger. I went to the doctor and it turned out to be an infection. I am on strong antibiotics and the doctor had to check my chart to make sure I had a tetnus shot. Once I am completely healed, I am taking my business elsewhere. Secondly, this place has gotten too money hungry!!!! My mom went there as well and it took 2 techs to do her nails. The first guy screwed up, so another guy had to redo everything. I have gone here several times and worked with Anna! She is so sweet and is versatile in many styles. She is really good at gel manicures. Its a really nice salon and the staff is always friendly. They are not usually packed during the week. I would avoid it on the weekends or make an appointment. The only bad thing is the parking. The lot is shared with a couple different businesses and I usually have to park on the side street. read more

I wish I could give this place no stars at all. This place is a joke. When I arrived the place was pretty empty for a Saturday which should have been my first clue. There were only 2 women working and I was told that I would have to wait 10 mins. I agreed and they asked me to pick a color. ALL OF THE NAIL POLISH WAS OLD!!!! There were half bottles of polish, bottles that you can tell had been sitting there for way too long because they were starting to separate, and not a very big selection. I should have turned around right there. I picked a color and sat down for my pedicure. Where do I even beginning with the woman that took care me. When she was cutting my cuticles she almost cut me. I pulled my foot away and she said that she was sorry. The rest of the pedicure went fine until she painted my nails. Now I will agree that my toe nails are very short. Always have been but I've never been too a place that did such a shitty job painting my toes. When she was done the polish looked like a my 12 year old niece painted my nails. It was hot mess. Then came the manicure, and this is where I lost it. Again cutting my cuticles she pinched a little too hard. She kept going back to the same finger to get to something and then she CUT ME!!! Yes she cut me!!! Of course I started bleeding and she put these blue drops on my fingers that hurt like hell. Then she tried to wipe my finger with ACETONE!!! ACETONE!!!! Are you serious?!?! I told her not too and she handed me a little cotton pad so I can hold on my bleeding finger. I told her I was done and that I didn't want her to paint my nails just cash me out. Took my daughter to gel tips for her 14th birthday...when she was finished it looked very nice and she was happy...about a week later her torqoise blue nails started turning a dark blue color....we went back to the place and the gentleman there had no explanation as to why this happened but instead of doing the right thing as a businessman he accused my daughter of painting over her nails....this was not true but he kept assisting it was which inturn made my daughter feel embarrassed...will not be going there again. read more
