There was a mistake but Erick and Marco responded quickly even though they were contacted at 5 pm on Friday afternoon (when the problem was discovered). I really appreciated that if I had a question, they both responded in a timely manner. While they did do what they promised and cleaned off the flat surfaces (driveway, etc) with a blower, they do so by blowing the debris from your gutters all over your lawn and flower beds. Having been in the gutter business I am well aware of the challenges associated with the job and in my opinion their performance was lack-luster at best.

First the good... reasonable prices and the additional subs did a great job house painting & gutter installation was decent. The bad... gutter cleaners leave your yard a mess (aside from a quick blower run on walkways). The worst... the wrong replacement skylight model was procured by the install team who then proceeded to chop on and totally damage my interior trim box. The team eventually got the correct window and installed it however the trim box was not repaired properly (it was covered with additional material vs replaced to original form) which resulted in blocking the ability to install (or access) the screen. The team damaged the screen trying to install and claimed they would replace it with a custom screen that would be accessible. They took the damaged screen and relayed that they would return with the custom within a couple of weeks. Current state after 7 months of contacting both the office and the owner of this company is that i have a skylight in my house with a substandard trim box and NO SCREEN and have contacted both the owner of the business and the office team to try to resolve this for 7 months now with zero progress. Shame on me for completing skylight job payment when the owner pressured me with this outstanding issue and said "Don't you trust me...". (No I do not trust you, Chad.) Proceed at your own risk and beware of additional company names the owner operates under.

In the end, after 8 months of chasing them down, GAF (the shingle manufacturer) is going to replace our NEW ROOF, not I-5. Why? because I-5 did such a poor job, this brand-new roof needs to be torn off, replaced and installed properly for GAF to warranty their shingles. Our story is long and not worth typing up. If I did type it up, it would include things like: getting yelled at over the phone by an I-5 person, being threatened with a lien on my house despite the work not being adequate, GAF sending out an inspector and I-5 failing to get their crap together enough to fix what they messed up. Now, another local roofing company will be fixing things up for us. If you are looking for an alternative to I-5 in the Portland area, J&J roofing has been refreshingly awesome. It is also worth mentioning that GAF is fantastic, and I highly recommend them. Their customer service is outstanding.
