Every time I've been here it was a good experience until recently a new employee made me decide…read morenever to return. He criticized what I wanted to buy and offered unsolicited advice, bragging about his own experiences. Then went on to brag about how he works with Smoke ATX and how great it is to over charge for pieces. At a time when the economy is worse than ever, AI may come for all our jobs, to brag about how much you're over charging in thousands of dollars for a piece at another shop is not only bad taste, it disrespects Mr Smoke. And it also felt inauthentic because anyone can overcharge for anything - if you make so much money with thousands of dollar products, why are you still working retail behind a counter? Never returning and won't advise friends to go here either. It's unprofessional to not stand behind the products you sell and criticize your customers for shopping at your store. I would never hire someone like that to represent my business to the public, and I'm a local business owner.

Came immediately back, within an hour, and explained the issue to the guy I had just bought it from. They called the owner who apparently told him to tell me I was just shit out of luck. On a defective product I had just bought an hour earlier. And to be clear I wasn't asking for money back, just a replacement that wasn't broken, and that was apparently too much to ask.. She's not on the hook, I guarantee you they have a return policy with the manufacturers, she just didn't want to be bothered. Guys in the shop were really nice and apologetic, unfortunately they appear to work for someone who doesn't care about her customers and is totally fine with selling customers defective products and keeping their money. Extremely disappointing, terrible business. There are dozens of smoke shops in the city, don't waste your money here.

Great, well-stocked, affordable head shop. This shop is pretty new; they've only been open a few…read moremonths. However, the owner is no novice at running smoke shop businesses, and has several others in the Austin area. I stopped in when they first opened, as I passed it every day on my way from home to my office. They had a great 50% off sale on all glass products at the time. The manager is super nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. I started coming in more regularly. They have a pretty decent selection. A lot of the products are Chinese-made, but they have some American glass too (I bought a nice Higher Standards water pipe for a great price!). Definitely show this business some love. They're located in the shopping center at the southeast corner of South Congress and Oltorf, a couple shops down from the UPS Store. Stop by and check them out!

This place has a terrible store policy of no refunds which is problematic because they sell…read moreinferior products. Their seal proof containers do not seal. 100%. I bought a seal proof container less than two weeks ago and brought it in for either a refund or exchange or even store credit and they completely do not flex on their policy...even if they sell you equipment that doesn't and never worked. There need to be times when you flex with the customer, especially when you sold the poor quality product and represented it as seal proof. On top of me being direct but polite, the store manager decided to start an attitude with me, when I was being cordial about their product not working...not me breaking it. We are talking about a sealing jar...pretty basic mechanics. You all should have taken a stand but you didn't. You made an error.
