I've been a loyal customer of Vape City for years and have spent thousands of dollars at their locations. However, my recent experience at the Burnet location was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I attempted to pay with a $100 bill at 3 PM in the afternoon, only to be told they couldn't accept it because they didn't have change. This is not only inconvenient but completely unacceptable for a 24/7 business that deals with large transactions. What made this situation even worse was the attitude of the manager, who was unhelpful and rude when I politely tried to resolve the issue. I've always had positive experiences at other Vape City locations, but this one has left a bad taste in my mouth. Given my history as a top customer, I expect much better service and professionalism. It's hard to understand how a company with hundreds of locations can't manage basic payment transactions, especially for customers who spend a lot of money. Very disappointing. read more

First time here. Place looks like a game room. Filthy parking lot. Used vapes scattered all over with whippets and other trash. Weird frosted film treatment on windows gives a creepy vibe and is unpleasantly dusty and hair covered as well. Won't be back. 4 people working inside and no one gives a shot about the outside. I stopped in and found Mike late at night and had a bunch of questions and he helped me pick out a device. I picked up a smok and I'm incredibly happy with the purchase. I paid a little more for everything I needed but Mike was so, so helpful. He explained everything very well, in simple terms and clearly has a vast understanding of everything from coils, to wattage, to stuff I don't even know about. I had other business in the area and I stopped to check out their CBD selection. The one dude behind the counter couldn't give two sh*ts about the presence of a customer. When I asked for his opinion on CBD flower, he was put out, despite the fact that I was the only customer in the store. His recommendation sucked. When I got home, I noticed the seal was broken on the jar I purchased and the flower was mediocre, at best. The store is nice and their selection is great but the staff... yikes. I was sold on their in house made vape, because they offered the 24hr warranty on it and it was good for an advertised "4000" puffs, it didn't even last me 1000! You have to buy a charger separately which is another $20 and they don't sell them. They do not have a good stock (if any) of the trusted mainstream brands. I would avoid this place. read more

I would be happy to right a better review but this location has inadequate employees. The two girls that I have ran into working there were phenomenal. The females knew a lot of the main base information about their job. There were three different guys I talk to that all were unaware of particular brands of vapes, and one guy was just unaware of everything. He couldn't answer simple questions like, do y'all sell hemp wick in a big ball, do you have air bars, do you see disposable vapes at all. he said no to all of these so I told him it's fine, I will just call back later when you have someone there who knows what they are doing. I called back later and got him again, and the next day and he ends up telling me it's his first week? Well if it is your first week I doubt you were answering the phones without a supervisor? Someone had to be teaching you something your first week I would imagine.... Having had worked at a few smoke shops. It's not rocket science and it's not difficult to ask your peers a question, especially for a customer. I will say I like the water pipes they sell at this location. They have a wide variety, but they once sold me a fake grav stem in my Grav waterpipe. They also put different bowls on the pipe than what it comes with on Gravs actual site. Still charging over Gravs original price. Other than that, sure this smoke shop is definitely recommended by me. Just watch out for your choices in purchases on water pipes here. Perhaps the worst experiences(s) and staff here. Been here so many times. I understand it's way overpriced and the people really never know shit. I bought a whole mod about a year ago however they do not sell any of the coils and threw in 2 batteries at the time. Went by this evening for a whole set but they seemed to not care about my previous experience after explaining I have to find coils at other places. The girl said she will call the manager to see if they can include 2 batteries. They said no so I walked out perfectly happy and also never going back to this place. These people don't know anything at all and have no customer service experience. They should probably start at Chick-fil-A before coming here. I heard about vape city from a friend. Seems like they don't care about the quality of the products they are selling. I bought a simple vape pen thinking there would be no issues. I ended up trying it out the next day, and it didn't work. So when I came back a day later, the same lady that sold it to me said they have a 6 hour return window, which definitely wasn't mentioned. Great selection. I was new to vaping and wanted to shop for a vape. I ended up buying something from them for $110. I stupidly did not look at the price online before hand. Today I googled it and it costs $50....I understand that a local shop might have some mark up, but pricing things at more than 200 percent markup is a shady business practice at best. Once the first vape ran out I opened the second one and it didn't work so I took it back up to the shop because it wasn't working. They told me tough luck because I didn't return it same day even though they saw the product didn't work. I didn't know it didn't work until I opened it two days later. Terrible customer service, and will leave you holding the bag if their products don't work. Go here all the time, basil? and crimm? Are absolute sweethearts. They treat me as a friend, and I look forward to going here. That all changed a little while ago. One of the higher-ups stormed in and yelled at the employees. I felt scared and left immediately. Since then this place is becoming a lot less friendly. I thought this place was LGBT and disabled friendly but I've noticed recently my favorite store employees constantly look uncomfortable and scared, and I'm noticing the disabled employee looks like she's in pain, and one time I came down the kid was on her own. That can't be safe at night. This place feels like they are running a sweatshop now, not the kind friendly place it used to be. Ive spent so much money here because i wanted to support the people here, but now this place should go down so those employees can get better jobs. I don't feel comfortable going here anymore.
