Came for happy hour which is 3-7pm. Lots of good choices for the prices. We had a new waitress but she was awesome and sweet. Her trainer was great as well and let her do her thang but guide her as well. I like the low light vibe of the restaurant, romantic.

Absolutely love Top Sushi! Their happy hour prices are amazing. I love to celebrate special occasions with my family here. Get the Yaki Gyoza they're delicious! Highly recommend the Vegas roll as well!

Great rolls, surprisingly filling. It wasn't a busy night so we were seated and served quickly. We weren't sure about the size of the rolls so we ordered 5, and realized 4 would've been enough! Loved the Kamille and Truc. The King Casper is called that for a reason- do not end on this roll because you'll be too full to finish!

The location is so quaint. It's across from the movie theatre and alongside a nice greenery so we will definitely be returning to have a picnic there ... with sushi Our waiter (Matthew) was extremely amicable and up-to-beat in serving us 1000000/10. We ordered a lot of rolls and asked for half to take to-go. He wrote on the box which ones we ordered with a little description, which we were appreciative of. It will definitely save us next time, when we are trying to remember what we ordered - all our favorites and not. Usually when I go to restaurants, I really like when the manager comes by and introduces himself/checks up on us. But I did not meet any such person! Which is slightly disappointing but the food and Matthew's energy and attentive spirit made up for it! The roles are Push (10/10) - definitely for people who can handle their heat well and want to spice up their tastebuds' experiences Kamille (7.5/10) - wasn't a huge fan of saffron, but the roll itself was delicious and very appealing to the eye Bare beauty (8.5/10) - I do love cucumber rolls but I wish there were more fish and not just so much crab! Very refreshing though! Garlicky tuna (10/10) - STRONG GARLIC FLAVOR! Yummy (7.5/10) ** for next time - we want to dabble in their sashimis because their fish looks so fresh! And their bleeding escolar ... The roles are delicious; however, there was not a lot of it. Mostly crab-based.

Each roll should be separated for its unique taste. Over all presentation. Disgusting

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. The fish was dry and didn't taste fresh at all. For the price they're charging, I expected much better quality. Unfortunately, it didn't meet expectations and wasn't worth the money. To make things worse, the service was unprofessional. I paid $100 in cash, and the waiter first brought me only $30 in change. I pointed it out, and he brought $40 more -- but still didn't return the full amount. I was shorted 15 cents. It's not about the amount, but about the principle. That shouldn't happen in a professional place. I won't be coming back.

There are some good sushi options here for sure - just have to do a little navigating. We aren't big fans of the spicy rolls where the fish is mixed up with mayo because it doesn't taste as fresh. But in general we like coming here and there are some excellent rolls here compared to most sushi places in the area.

We love the food and service here, the spicy edamame is the best and we even ask for another extra sauce from the edamame to eat with our dumplings and sushi!!! That sauce can go on top of EVERYTHING--need to try it.

Went to komeya today for the first time with my daughter, she got the maki lunch special and I got…read morethe spicy miso ramen. Mine came out later so forgot to take a pic. The Maki lunch special comes with 2 rolls, soup and salad. The soups and salad were a generous side, definitely more than you'd would get with a bento box. The salad was fresh and had the usual creamy ginger Japanese dressing, delish. For the maki bowls, they were a nice size, and are actually the normal sized rolls you would get from the menu for a spicy salmon and eel roll. I thought for price would be simple hand rolls with just fish and rice and wrapper, but these had cucumber or avocado, sauces and nicely filled. Deliscious eel, spicy salmon had a surprisingly different delicious flavor to it and nice kick. For the spicy miso ramen, it's actually their original tonkotsu with miso and spiciness mixed in. The waitress recommended as the best flavor and although I haven't tried any of their others, it did have nice flavor. Creamy, with layers of flavor and a nice mouth feel that coated your tongue with umami. I am a spicy fanatic, so for me wasn't very spicy, but with chili oil available on the table I could increase the spicy profile. The nice thing here is the ramen toppings aren't all extra so a great deal. Came with chashu, 2 pieces, one on top had been fried with an excellent char and crunchiness to it, especially since the crunchy garlic was on top. Also for toppings were corn, bamboo shoots, nori, rice cakes, and half a boiled egg so no nickel and dime for toppings here . Fast and attentive service so if trying to get in and out on your lunch break, no problem. Quaint, small venue in shopping strip. Quiet though so nice to have conversation with your lunch date. I would recommend and definitely go again

I showed our waitress and she said well of course there's a bone because they only use whole fresh eel. Bruh. I mean it's $12 for 3 pieces of tuna sashimi. I'd expect the food to be fresh at those prices. Then she quickly snatched it out of my hand and left. I did hear a soft sorry as she spun around. She went off to tend to other tables. But later in the meal I did hear her talking in the back with a man in Chinese about how a customer was complaining about a small bone in l their food. Guess she doesn't know I speak Chinese. At the end of the meal, I asked our waitress if she was the owner. She said no, quickly followed by a "the owner is not here today". Then I asked whether the owner was Chinese. Super duper long pause, followed by a soft spoken yes. Well, my favorite place in Memphis is also Chinese owned. I think many of the Japanese restaurants are. Ah well.

When we arrived for dinner there were several diners, but it wasn't overly crowded. Plus, it was happy hour...perfect timing. Our waitress was very helpful with helping us decide. We finally decided on the baked mussels and fried calamari from the happy hour menu. Our main course was the deluxe platter. Absolutely amazing. Some of the pieces on the platter are chosen by the chef. The platter consisted of salmon, yellowtail, tuna, sea bream, and red snapper -- the sea bream took the show! Very robust flavor! The red snapper, a close second. Everything was so good. Very fresh selection. Can't wait to visit again.

As we exited, the hostess was focused on her phone and completely ignored us--even after we initially said, "Thank you." It wasn't until we said "Thank you" a second time that she finally acknowledged us. A hostess is often both the first and last impression of a restaurant, and guests should not have to repeat themselves simply to receive basic courtesy. Hospitality extends beyond seating guests--it includes making them feel welcomed and appreciated from arrival to departure. Unfortunately, that standard was missing here.
