Update: After my original review, I was told that the General Manager, Tessa, would be contacting us regarding the incident where Angel verbally attacked both me and my wife. As of now, we still have not received any communication or follow-up from her or anyone else in management. The lack of response has been disappointing and has only reinforced our concerns about how this situation was handled. Yummy Sea bass! Glad I have a "go to" Miso sea bass now. Portions large! If you've never has a miso sea bass, it's sweet. However this was great and if you want to cut the sweetness, they nicely placed a lemon to give some acid to balance the sweetness. Half way through I usually use a lemon when eating miso sea bass. Nice waiter, not anything wrong. The steamed vegetables are nice and they have a nice selection of hot teas to pic from. I will absolutely be back. This place is by far one of my favorites. I love the surrounding area as well. But the restaurant has a full bar, as well as booths and tables. When Uni first opened in Market Street it was a hot place to go and I frequently regularly. The sushi was just as good as I remembered it 10 years later. I recommend the millenium and watch your butt (that cracks me up since there's jalapeños on top!). We were seated promptly but our server didn't greet us for almost 10 minutes. I'm writing this review for people like me and my wife. This is not an authentic style sushi restaurant. All the fish was fresh, but not to the quality levels you can expect at a place of this "caliber" in Houston. People are wearing suits and brand name dresses here lol. This is similar to Oishii in terms of quality. Completely standard rolls, nigiri, and sides. The difference is- Oishii charges 1.25 per salmon nigiri, and it's 3.75 here with a smaller cut. The amberjack and yellowtail tasted exactly the same to the point where I wondered if they were even different fish lol. Chicken karaage is on the level of drive thru tapioca shops with some bottled Thai chili sauce tossed in. Rolls taste like literally anywhere could've made them. The old fashioned came with a muddled orange slice and a maraschino cherry. It's that kind of place. I guess my point is this place isn't bad. It's just not good either.
