I'll admit, we both walked in a little apprehensive, especially as we're a couple of Yanks. Those intrepidations quickly vanished after we were immediately welcomed by the friendly and down to earth bartender. After we mentioned we're currently trying out a non-alcoholic phase, he replied that he's about 2 years into his and gave us our first round of ginger beers on the house! WOW, talk about setting the tone for a great night out. There is such a chill & laid back yet happening vibe here, with so much action going on. The bar connected to a super lively bowling alley as well as a music venue (which wasn't open during our visit). They even had a pool table and TWO ping pong tables in the back. The ping pong balls were only 25 cents each and the paddles were in pretty good shape. They even had one paddle with the super thick padding, great for creating spin and such. We had some lively games and got pretty loud, yet no one seemed even remotely bothered! After about an hour or so, we checked out the bowling alley and discovered it had a massive arcade room. I tried out a hurricane simulator and yes, I survived! All in all, this place really rocked. It was a ton of unexpected fun yet not at all too wild for my taste. Seems like a popular spot with the locals and certainly one I shall return to during my next visit to Destin!

First, the $4.99 soda from the bar gun was disappointing. It didn't taste great to begin with, and at that price, you would at least expect attentive service and refills -- which we were never offered. If it had been a canned soda, the price might make more sense, but this felt excessive. The Bloody Marys were $17 and, in my opinion, overpriced for what was served -- well vodka, two pickled green beans, a lemon wedge, and two olives. For that price, you'd expect something more substantial or elevated. It just didn't feel worth $17. We ordered brisket sandwiches, which were good, but the French fries were overcooked to the point of being inedible. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet our waitress never checked on our table or offered refills. I'm not sure if she was new or just inattentive, but the lack of service added to the disappointment. When visiting Baytowne Wharf in the future, I'll likely choose other bars and restaurants.

Pasta was cooked well. The scampi sauce was a good flavor. Adding the juice from the lemon made it even better. I love tomatoes in my scampi so that would be my only suggestion to make this a 10/10.

Nice Budweiser tap special, but for me I appreciate their selection of IPAs. Seafood gumbo was good. The hush puppies are addictive. Tuna dip is delicious. Ruben sandwich was ok. Fries were good. I did notice on two occasions we were seated by the hostess at a table that needed to be wiped off. Even though there were several empty tables. The last time here the same hostess sat us at a dirty table, we told her about it, so she seated us at another dirty table. Complained about that but she would not wipe the table so we sat in a totally different area. That's just inexcusable laziness. (hear that management?). But all our waitresses provided excellent service. Looking forward to our next trip!!

I never took a sip before the photo. Manager did not care but sure could have created a happy and returning customer by pouring a bit more in my plastic cup. Instead he said "if the bartender measured it, that's what you get" So, we paid for the $12 sip of wine and left a $20 so the server got a good tip and left to get a better meal down the road. Slick lips actually served food on real plates and not baskets. Drinks in glasses, too. Will not return to Hammerheads. I'm here for a month and this place will not get another dollar. I really wanted to like this place, but it ended up being a disappointing experience overall…read more The one standout was the gumbo. It had a nice kick to it, was full of flavor, and the $10 cup was a generous portion. My partner and I both ordered a cup, and it was easily the best thing we ate. Unfortunately, everything else went downhill. We split the fried redfish basket, and for what it cost, it felt almost criminal. There wasn't a price listed, so getting the bill was a shock (especially because all the other baskets were $30). The fish itself was decent quality, but the breading was heavy, bland, and overwhelmed the redfish. The curly fries were unique, but they left both of us feeling greasy and weighed down afterward. Service was mixed. The hostesses were friendly and welcoming, and our server was pleasant as well, though it felt like there was a strong push to upsell throughout the meal. In the end, two cups of gumbo, one fried fish basket to share, and our total came to $85 including taxes and tip. Considering the quality of the fried basket, the value just wasn't there. If the fish basket alone was around $50, that price is hard to justify. It felt more like a money grab aimed at visitors than a restaurant focused on earning repeat local customers.
