First time here with my kids just looking for something spontaneous to do. We had a blast, We've never golfed before aside from mini golf but actually swinging a club was fun! Helped me relieve a lot of build up stress and spent some quality time with my kids whilst enjoying their food & drinks. Everything was very delicious! Bathrooms were very clean and service was quick, Servers were very nice. Definitely will be back very soon.

Went to TopGolf for the first time and it was fun! I don't golf at all, but I still enjoyed it. Really nice, new building. You rent a "bay" to golf from. Each bay can seat 6 people and they have heat lamps! In order to have your name on the TV, you need to register an account online, which costs $6 (one-time junk fee). You can also share an account if your group doesn't care about keeping score. We booked a single bay on a Tuesday night for an hour and a half, this felt like about the right amount of time. There is some way that they track where your golf balls went, and then you get points based on the ball's trajectory and where it landed. There are various different games with different points structures. Also, you can order food, we split the nachos and three orders of boneless wings. They were tasty! We tried the lemon, the garlic Parmesan and the Asian sesame. Lemon was the tastiest, I would not order the other two gain

First time here and it's such a breath taking location. The view alone was amazing during the day time can't imagine on a clear night. We got the left corner on the second floor. Service was great they were always checking in. I will be back for sure

Between a 3 and 4 - finally got the chance to try Topgolf for the first time everrrr! I was a little nervous because, ya know, you can miss or something when swinging on a driver for the first time but 'tis the time for growth :D Facility-wise - this place is very new and very shiny. Everything looks great - with the unfortunate exception that the outside air sometimes smell smells like waste water?? I'm guessing that's the only land available to construct this huge golf venue. The smell comes and goes, and I honestly didn't notice it too much, but the rest of the group complained (for those who have sensitive noses). Package-wise you do everything online - they do have half-off specials on less crowded timeslots but generally, you find something that works for you and your group, new players have to play a $6 initiation fee, and then you get your bay and you just start swinging. I don't know anything on golfing, but it seems like the equipment is fine in the gameplay is also fine - a similar pacing to bowling but obviously with golf. Food wise: I really liked their all-American burger - it is on the pricier side as expected with all food at entertainment place, but I thought it was really good and can actually stand alone (ie: eat without playing). We were also able to try the rest of the party platter which was basically the rest of the menu: chicken sliders, mozzarella balls, pretzel bites, and nachos. The rest of the food was as good as you'd expect - pretty decent, especially if you're a little buzzed. (Top Golf does offer a yearly membership, which allows you to go in for an included hour every month and I think he can also bring five friends with you so it's a very economical option if you stick to your guns (aka not buy extras) and live nearby.) Overall, I had a lot of fun and definitely great to try at least once. The only advice is if your budget allows, just like bowling, if you want a faster play, it's better to get two simultaneous bays so more people can hit the ball without waiting too long.

The gold experience was a blast. Booked online and reserved for two hours (~$130) each player must create a membership (additional 6/player unless under 12 then it's free) multiple games to choose from. We were on first floor bay and upon walking outside noticed a funky smell I asked our wait staff about possibly changing bays and they said there smell comes from the water treatment plant next store. Views were amazing. Our group had a vegan and a vegetarian warning they do not have main course options for those restrictions they do have a few appetizers that are vegetarian - we passed on food. Went on a Saturday night recommend reserving it was busy. Bar and foosball available inside and thr bar area has an expansive tv. Overall would come again and plan on eating elsewhere. Also ev users-they have plenty of slow chargers for pay while you play.

This is a review based on an experience that I came here for a work event where everything was paid for lol. So of course I tried every dish and ordered drinks etc. I am not a big golfer and didn't do the range thing, but the group did and there were kids too.food was was ok to good. Drinks were fine. Great family event place and a huge venue so it's a good time. It was my first time there and I didn't know what to expect but basically now that I've been, I consider it like a bar with food and golf. It was pretty busy lots of cars in the parking lot on a weekday evening

This is a fun outing and a good location as it's pretty close to the highway. The steak on the nachos has a low quality taste and texture but the sampler plate was pretty good, although that finger food greasy vibe. Overall the whole experience goes by really quick between waiting for food, eating, and playing your turn repeat.

Had a great time playing here on a Tuesday evening! The views of the place is really nice. The workers were very attentive with our orders and the food came in a timely manner. I was looking forward to the mac & cheese bites, and although they were crispy, it was a bit bland and not as cheesy as I would have liked it. Altogether, it was a fun time!

Topgolf is a modern take on the driving range, offering games, food, and drinks in a loud music type environment. Players reserve bays by the hour and aim at giant outfield targets with high-tech balls that score themselves. Topgolf provides complimentary clubs, or players can bring their own. What is Topgolf? It's a sports entertainment complex offering an inclusive, high-tech golf game that everyone can enjoy. Table games are also available indoors. Reserve a bay, like we did, that can house up to six players. TopGolf venues charge by the hour. Daytime pricing (Monday to Friday, before 5 PM): Often, the most reasonably priced choice is daytime pricing ( Monday through Friday, before 5 PM), which varies depending on the region from $25 to $40 per hour. The Food: Bar styled appetizers, tacos, Mac and cheese bites, Mediterranean platters and so much more. If you want fried foods, you will enjoy it here! There are a few healthier alternatives here, such as salads and a Mediterranean platter. The Drinks: Cocktail concoctions, sodas, wines, shots, draft, bottled and canned beers abound. Service: Limited service here. Your food and drink order will be taken at the start of play. Thereafter, you will need to flag down a server for assistance. A bit noisy for me. Music pumping above on loudspeakers. Kids and adults shouting out every so often. Bathrooms are available indoors. It can be a bit chilly at the bays on a December evening. Bring a sweater or more lol. There are heaters at the bays! Thank goodness.

I've visited this location a couple of times now - a few times for a chill, hangout with friends and fam as well as a couple of children birthday parties. Each time, it was a such a blast. Decent food and drinks. Attentive servers who make their rounds fairly quickly. The extra games and hang out space throughout the facility is inviting.

Made reservations for 9:30am on a Monday for hubs' bday. Service was great in that they greeted us as soon as we arrived and checked on us often. We had a couple of littles (5 and 7 year olds) with us and they brought out kids clubs for them to use. The Funday Faves platter was an easy go to for the party. Hot apple cider helped to.warm us up - they have spiked ones too. Great family event.

Super fun date night activity. Best to make a reservation. We showed up without one and waited about 45 min for 2 people. Not bad because they have activities and the bar in the lobby. The food was good and they also offer a variety of non alcoholic beverages with the option to customize your own soda. Staff was nice and attentive and the place was well kept and clean throughout.

    Look out!

Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday, and it was a blast! I loved every second of my time here! This was my first time playing "golf", outside of mini golf (I know... doesn't count. Don't come at me). I didn't know what to expect and was a bit intimated. We came on a weekday in the afternoon, with perfect weather (actually it was a chilly December afternoon, but their heaters are amaaazing). The employees at the front desk were nice and got us a bay immediately. Upon reaching our bay, instructions were easy to follow and we started playing immediately. Our server came fairly fast and asked if we needed anything, but all we needed were good vibes. Jk... but we didn't request anything, and I appreciated that someone would check on us every so often. The games itself were fun, especially for a noob like me. The only downside was that I would get points for (seemingly) no reason (blocks knocking down when it didn't seem like it should), which made my husband upset. Sorry not sorry. We thought the games were fun and definitely a nice touch to add when you're not as serious of a golfer. There were people who I could HEAR are golfers just by the sound of their swing..... they're definitely not playing the games. Entire space was clean, servers seemed active and were really friendly, bathrooms clean. We didn't eat, but the food looked good! The only reason I'm not rating this a 5 is because it is a little pricey imo. For a special occasion, I think it's totally worth it... especially because we don't need to bring our own clubs or balls. I guess that's what you're paying for! Oh, and lastly, love the location. Airplanes are flying in and out, beautiful views. So lovely! Hopefully I'll be able to come back and swing again soon!

Bartender on the lower level was great!

Walked into what is clearly a local institution - the kind of place where regulars know the staff's kids' names. Weekday evening crowd skewed silver-haired, which in my experience is always a good omen. These people have been eating out for decades - they know where the bodies are buried and where the good food is. Server was legitimately excellent. Paced the order so apps didn't collide with entrees - a simple move that most places fumble. Checked in without hovering. Knew the menu cold. Then this happened: I asked for a Pliney. He asked, "Elder or Younger?" That's when I had to pause. In all my years of ordering Plineys, no one has ever asked me that. Because no one has ever randomly had Pliney the Younger on tap. These guys did - apparently a locally advertised special that had been going on that day. They had a Keg of this rare stuff, and it was depleting quickly. I got the Younger on repeat till I was barely stumbling out of the place. Life is good. Ordered the Cheesesteak and it was legit - not playing around. The family went burgers, hot dogs, and wings. Zero complaints across the board. Bar fare done right, priced right, with zero pretension. Sometimes the best finds are the ones you didn't plan for.

American Bull is a solid sports bar serving up refreshing drinks and tasty food! This recent trip…read morewas actually my second time here, though the first time feels like forever ago (some time pre-pandemic). LOCATION: Its home is within the Burlingame Plaza, next door to a Lunardi's grocery store. It's located directly across from the Mills-Peninsula Medical Center on the corners of Trousdale and El Camino Real. PARKING: There generally is enough parking, though you may have to walk a bit further depending on the time of day and how busy it is. The lot and area seem safe, even at night when other things in the shopping center have closed down. INSIDE: We went on a Sunday evening, around 6pm to watch the Sunday Night Football game. It was actually pretty busy, though there was some bar and highboy seating as well as a couple tables still available. We went with the traditional table because the older we get, the more we appreciate back support. There are TVs EVERYWHERE. Most of the walls are lined with TVs, playing a variety of sports, but mostly whatever's local or the "main game". It's also pretty loud-you're still able to have a conversation amongst a smaller group of people, but you definitely have to be listening intently. There is a lot of cool, mostly local, sports memorabilia. They have a whole Giants corner, in addition to lots of Niners autographed jerseys, helmets, and footballs. There's also a wall with dozens of autographed baseballs. We took some time to look at the names, and noticed the likes of Mickey Mantle, Willie McCovey, and plenty of other Hall of Famers! DRINKS: Their drink menu consists of 10+ white wine, 6 red wine, and 2 sparkling wine options available by the glass or the bottle. They have bottled beer (domestic, imports, and microbrew) and cans (White Claw, High Noon, Wyder's Pear Cider, Ace Joker apple cider, and Guinness). They also have a couple non-alcoholic beer options, and other non-alcoholic options (coffee, tea, Pepsi products, juice, and Arnold Palmers). They also have over a dozen beers on tap, as well as a full bar that can provide shots and likely make most cocktails. Prices for most drinks are actually quite reasonable for the area--on par with a sports bar more than a fancy restaurant. FOOD: Their menu is surprisingly big for what seems to be a shopping center sports bar. For apps, they have a lot of typical bar food options (fries, onion rings, potato skins, mozzarella sticks, wings, chicken tenders, sliders, quesadillas, tacos, and even Lumpia). There is a section with half a dozen tasty sounding salads, available in full or half sized portions. There is also a separate section for their chili, which is served in a cup or bowl, with shredded cheese, chopped onion, sour cream, and fresh jalapenos. The sandwich portion of the menu runs 10+ deep with options such as burgers, a patty melt, Philly cheese steak, grilled and Buffalo fried chicken, salmon, BLT, and even a hotdog or polish dog (technically not a sandwich)! The entree section has some bangers too, with items like BBQ ribs, NY steak, grilled or blackened salmon, linguini, chicken parm, ravioli, and meatballs. I love that this section has an Italian flair, and want to come back to try things like the chicken parm! This most recent trip we went with friends and split a few things amongst the groups. I got the patty melt, with a side of chili. The melt was solid, not spectacular. I would have liked the grilled onions cooked a little more. The chili was also good, not great. We got all the accoutrements on the side, which allowed us to try it on its own first, then add as we go. Our friends ordered a Chinese chicken salad, and a burger basket with onion rings. They both finished their meals and noted that they enjoyed them! OVERALL: While this is basically a bar, it's also a restaurant. There were several children under the age of 10 running around screaming that were part of larger groups. Not sure if there's a specific time when minors are no longer allowed? The service was friendly enough, and the bathrooms were clean when we went. This is for sure a great spot to grab a drink, bite to eat, and watch a sports game or 3! IG: @bbnem.eats

One of the things that happened when I visited this bar was I asked for a simple lemonade. The reason was because I had a soccer game the next day and I didn't want to drink alcohol and I wanted to get some electrolytes in me. It would have been very simple for the bartender to just say, "I'm sorry we don't serve lemonade." Instead what he did is say I worked here 20 years and he never served lemonade and then kept scoffing at me. He kept saying this three times, walking back and forth, up until the point the patron next to me even said, "Don't worry about him." After that without even me talking to him, he said, "Who orders lemonade at an Irish pub?" Then without me saying anything, he said, "No one orders lemonade at an Irish pub." I was honestly just trying to get a drink and he made me feel very dumb. Overall if a patron asks you for a drink, it's very easy just to say, "I'm sorry we can't do that," but he kept making me feel like an idiot. I was also surprised they did not serve lemonade; that's a very simple request. He didn't offer any alternatives except for 7-Up, which I didn't really want but paid for anyway. I ended up not drinking it even after I paid for it and leaving the bar. I guess the bartender got what he wanted. He gave me a drink that was other than lemonade; he made me pay for it and I just left the bar unhappy. I would highly recommend against visiting this establishment, especially with the grumpy bartender. He is an older white Irish guy. I understand they might have your own customers at the bar but I think it costs nothing to treat patrons with respect and not tell them that they're stupid for asking for a drink. Overall I would not recommend this place at all. Very enforced error. Sad!

Crowd was mixed, and even some of the seemingly-random patrons knew each other. It's what you would expect from a pub. Dark. Lively. Straightforward. Will be back.

Due to the World Cup they are putting a pause on that event. We did decide to go back this Thursday for the USA watch party and it was so fun. They were absolutely packed when we got there but the staff is so kind and accommodating they got us a table outside and even moved it so we could all see the tvs! As soon as we were getting sat the waitress recognized us and asked if we wanted to put in some drinks so we wouldn't have to wait long, huge plus they really do connect with their customers. We ordered our food and everything came out really quickly which was great even though they were so busy. I got the drakes burger with the gluten free bun. My favorite! It comes with a perfectly cooked egg that oozes right into the burger when you bite in. My partner got his favorite the Caesar salad wrap. He always says it super fresh and tastes amazing. My father got a classic cheese burger added bacon. They do make a great burger the prefect amount of messy classic American burger we all crave. They have a very extensive menu it a lot of typical bar food but what sets them apart is their fresh ingredients and unique twist. Their atmosphere and service is always a ten out of ten no matter if it's packed to the brim or not. I plan to keep coming back!

We started off with drinks, shots, Irish coffee, happy drink and other suggestion by our friendly server, all were good. We had the sampler appetizer platter, wings, Veggies, potato skins, onion rings, cheese quesadilla and the best sausage rolls I've had in a while. We ordered entrees to share, we had the Cobb salad, fish &chips and bangers & mash, WOW, JUST WOW. We ended with the lemon tart, it made my mouth pucker is a good way. The Irish was so tasty we look home a loaf. So glad my sister found it and suggested we come, we will definitely return and enjoy this establishment for years to come. the service was top notch, all the servers were excellent, friendly and we received the best service. I am sorry we didn't get too many pics, these were just 2 of the many things we had. We recommend you come and enjoy this p,ace, you'll be happy you did.

I only had the fries, but they were fire--definitely a good sign for the rest of the menu. They also nailed the Guinness pour--clean lines, creamy, and really good. I'll definitely be back to try more of the food.

Gayle and I had a nice dinner here recently, of which our table service was very good. We especially appreciated the leisurely pace and the fact that we could stay awhile as we were waiting for a flight to arrive a bit later. Suspecting that Max's portion reputation was still in force, I ordered a mini Reuban, which was more than enough food. Gayle went for the Fajitas, which she couldn't finish. Our adult beverages of choice were beer and a margarita, which matched well with our meal options.

This is processed and formed meat. Truly gross. The potato salad tasted a bit off so after three bites we decided it was better not to eat it. My husband's chicken parm was fair. Matzo ball soup was a solid 4/5. The chocolate cake was dry and tasted stale, as if it came from a fridge that needed a new air filter in it. Too old, I'm sure. The macaroon was downright awful with that same stale, fridge taste but also was so HARD and this is not a cookie that should be like a hockey puck. Rugulah was 3/5. The cheesecake was the highlight and illustrated how something simple can be great when excellent ingredients are used and it is actually fresh. Overall a total waste of money. Don't bother unless you really know what you're getting into. This is most certainly not what it was in its heyday.

Parking is a bit hard since it is shared with the hotel. Once you find parking you are greeted by the hotel staff and you walk to the restaurant. As you walk by you are greeted by the other stands that YELP had there for the xmas party. The food was great. We had sliders, pizza bread, garlic fries, fish tacos (I'm not a fan of fish but they were great, not fishy at all and had a pico on them and that was great). I had the oaxacan after midnight tequila based drink which was strong. Not tasty. Also tried the berry star martini which was a berry vodka based drink - this was delicious. Not too strong, on the sweet side! I opted for the regular fries instead of garlic fries. This was a mistake. Fries were stale, not fresh, should've gone with the garlic fries. Bar servers did not have the bathroom key which was annoying because I wasn't a guest at the hotel so I had to go to the front desk to be let into to restroom each time. Beautiful scenery, great view of the bay and airport. Hotel and bar are right next to the water. Hotel is pretty, very tropical feel inside. Would come back to try their dinner and give bar another chance.
