Since the play time is timed I'd recommend warning all your guests about it and have them arrive early. Parking is very limited since it's a super small lot and there's a party ahead of you too. The host family has a reserved parking spot out front but our guests definitely need to just find street parking, they came early and seemed to find parking fine. Staff will collect bday gifts in a cart which is super helpful. The indoor play structure is super big and spacious and has a toddler area too. A big kids track with basketball like area with soft balls is right next to play area and had some areas for adults to sit. Adults can chill upstairs in the lounge area too. Play area is gated. You have option to have staff lead the kids in a series of games at the track area which is great way to get the entire party together at end of play time which my daughter loved. Afterwards the kids line up n wash hands n everyone is led upstairs to the party room. The party room is like jungle safari theme decorated painted on the walls. Space is a bit tight/cramped but good air flow and fine. Staff will walk around serving the kids food which is great. Everyone can eat and enjoy without the adults spending time to serve and feed the kids. Afterwards we went down to arcade room and played and you get tickets and redeem for prize. Everyone was able to walk away with a prize which is perfect. Only downside is it gets hot. "Arcade area definitely needs a remodel with AC or at minimum very good fans. I would suggest the owners to highly consider this as it's a bit run down looking compared to the rest of the facility". But even if a remodel is not done, the arcade area is good as is. Maybe buying a few portable fans to hand out to the few guests who might overheat is good enough. Guests had so much fun !! and we got a lot compliments how well run everything was !! They have a food vendor which was perfect too. We plan to have our daughter's 7th bday here again this year as we can't find a better venue that can be so spacious and run so well. Took the kids here for a little adventure during inclement weather. They had a blast…read more First things first. I recommend doing the waiver online. You'll have to sign again at the register, but it will save you a bunch of time when you arrive. Ok...for our experience. It can feel a little overwhelming when you first arrive if you haven't been there before. Having people walk in, with their own helmets, acting like they own the place will have anyone unsure where they should go or do when they first arrive. The staff make it feel very welcoming and friendly. After I finished check-in, I felt like the people with their own helmet. Tyrez helped me at check-in. He was patient, professional and friendly. When I say patient, I mean PATIENT! I had four kids with me and when it came to head covers alone, he got everyone what they needed even though I had to prompt the kids multiple times to come to a decision. We got there, but it was rough and Tyrez was amazing throughout! He even explained everything to me so that I wouldn't be caught off guard by anything and wouldn't end up frustrated...or at least that is how it felt. Next, know this. When they are running adult races, it's loud in the track area. Because I work safety, I have my watch set to alarm me when the sound exceeds the OSHA permissible exposure limit. It went off a lot. So, I measured the sound. It can get above 100 decibels. That's loud. Not as loud as a rock concert or fire truck siren, but it will make it difficult to have a conversation. You may want to consider ear plugs...or ear buds with noise canceling. The races are run very efficiently and they alternate between youth and adult groups. One safety feature the do great is that they are never on the track, together, at the same time. Safety seemed like it was well managed. When impacts happen, they throttle down the carts, to ensure everything is safe. One note though...and I see this as a huge positive...they let you RACE! Yes, they pay attention and focus on safety, but they don't scold or stop because of a little inadvertent contact. I was truly impressed by the balance they maintain there. In my group of four, two were a little scared and didn't race all the races we purchased (I bought the SpeedPass for each and it seems like a really good package for first timers), but they were amazing at helping me re-assign them to the others in our group. Luis helped me there and again, he was patient with me and helped ensure we got everything transferred correctly. He also answered all 5,000 of my questions throughout our visit. No, not really 5,000, but there were a lot. He was amazing! If I had any criticism at all, it would be for the game area. Many of their games weren't working because of a network error. It was disappointing for me, but it hit the kids hard. They should have someone dedicated to that area as it was never empty while we were there. I would imagine that having all working correctly would result in increased revenue. Overall, we had an amazing adventure there today and Tyrez and Luis were part of the reason why. Their track team was the other part...I just wasn't able to get their names. If you're looking for a new adventure, this is an amazing way to spend a Saturday!!!

I got the $60ish dollar 2-race package and I guess Sunday afternoon isn't a busy time as my friend and I both got into a race in about 30 minutes, then another about 30-40 minutes after that. I can't speak to the food or drinks as we didn't buy any, but in my experience amusement parks, bowling alleys, miniature golf, and arcades always just sell reheated frozen food. So maybe it's passable, maybe it's just "you won't get food poisoning" quality. I won't be the one to find out. The racing itself seems pretty well organized. Probably because there weren't many people there after 5 pm on a Sunday it was pretty relaxed. The cars go fast enough to have fun but not fast enough to get into big trouble. And the engines aren't powerful enough to spin the wheels, so picking the right line and carrying speed through corners is the optimum strategy. My times were around 31 seconds which felt quick, but then I saw the leaderboard is like 27 seconds and I just can't see how I can shave 15% off my time. Additionally, the rules read a lot more strict than the actual enforcement. Especially in our second race we had a full grid and there were people spinning each other out, banging into each other, diving for the inside line on a corner and both crashing. Nobody got black flagged. The Marshalls were on it dialing down the power or turning it off when they needed to get someone straightened out though. Overall it was reasonably fun. South City isn't exactly a hub of entertainment options so if you're bored and it's not busy and you're not hungry it's a decent way to kill an hour or two. They have a pretty big parking lot and take credit cards.

We did two per table since their big tables were taken up with parties of 8 or more, and since we didn't want to wait we split our party of 4 into two smaller tables. I thought the food was fresh, and good. Don't expect amazing food, just decent food. Highlights: the roasted chicken and the make your own omelet was great, the very fun chocolate fondue tower, and great brussel sprouts. Not so great: the salmon lox was very fishy, couldn't finish it. Lettuce was limp, and the prime rib was dry and the ham was even drier. Pizza was meh, and the mimosas I heard had really cheap champagne and tasted awful.
