Decided to have my son's birthday party here last week because he loves playing golf and so do all of his buddies. The facility is impressive and the service could not have been better. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and everyone was having a fantastic time. It's a little pricey but what can I say, you get what you pay for. Top Golf will no longer be allowing dogs starting in 2018. This used to be one of the reasons I supported this business, but the fact that they are discontinuing this will be the sole reason that I will no longer conduct my business or plan any of the corporate events with this company. I am very disappointed that this has become a policy and that they are discriminating against people who have service and emotional support animals. Top golf had great staff and service, but because animals are no longer allowed, I will no longer be a customer and will not reccomend this business to friends family or collegues. read more

This place is great for groups and friends to come out too. It doesn't matter if you've never held a club in your life you'll still have a ton of fun. They have great tasting food and some pretty good drinks as well. Now in my opinion if you're just coming out with a couple of people try and come out during the week before noon because a) it will be empty and b) instead of paying $40/hour its only $20/hour (after 12pm it starts costing $40/hour). If you do decide to go at night when the range is all lit up and the atmosphere is popping be prepared to wait up to 2 hours for a bay to open up (I'm not kidding). There is quite a lot of parking but as I mentioned its gets pretty busy at night and on the Weekends so if you can't find a spot you can always valet your car! Some avid golfers do bring their own clubs with them but each bay has its own clubs so its up to you whether to bring your own or not, I'm not too sure how many lefty clubs they have though so if you're a lefty and own clubs it may be a good idea to bring them with! read more

This place is incredibly fun and the best idea ever. But.... It also had the worst service I have ever experienced. I understand it gets busy but there are no excuses for how we were treated. Third floor bar: Ordered a bucket of beer; thirty minutes later, nothing. I see the waitress multiple times between the order and that thirty minutes so we have to go up to the bar and order the bucket. We go down to the second story bar to eat: We have a table right in the middle of the bar and we do not have anyone come to help us for 20 minutes, so we asked for some help. Turns out our waiter had been walking by us the entire time but never said anything. We order food but do not see it for 20 more minutes when we are called to our bay. At the bay: The first waitress we have says hi at the beginning where we order some drinks, then we do not see her for 30 minutes and we never saw the bucket of beer. When she did come back, she was only there to tell us that her shift was up and introduced us to our next waitress that also followed the trend. We immediately ordered food and drinks. Waited....Waited...One hour later she shows her face again to ask what we ordered an hour before and says "it will be here before you have time to order again". 30 minutes later, she shows up again and we just tell her not to bring us food and not to come back anymore. We walked to the bar to get our drinks the rest of the time. The worst service ever....Worst service ever...Worst service ever!!! Please do something top golf, it has so much potential and it really is fun but this is not only my experience. I have not talked to anyone who had anything at all good to say about the service, even at a time when it is not a 3 hour wait. Pleasee fix your service!!!!! read more

I came on a Saturday around 11:45 a.m. It was crowded but we happen to get there as the "$20 per hour Bay special" was ending (at noon) so it was easier to find a parking spot--just pull in as someone is pulling out of their spot. After 12:00 the price goes up to $40 per hour". We originally purchased a one and a half hour session but that seemed to go by so quickly with 4 people. As time was running out we decided to add another half hour. So it was about $80 for 2 hours of the game--the concern I have with this is that it's more difficult to socialize with the people you're with. The clock runs down whether you're playing or not and you can't pause it. Unlike bowling, you have to pay for the bay upfront so I guess it's better to stick to the lower side and add more minutes if you'd like to play longer. $80 for 4 people to play for 2 hours (not to mention the hour+ we had to wait to get a bay after we arrived). They have bars and seating areas on the second and third floor to lounge around as you wait. On the third floor there is a fire pit, extra large jinga games, corn hole and a huge connect four game which was fun while we waited for our Bay. They text you when your Bay is ready and will tell you which one is yours. The server at the bay was friendly and nice. She checked on our table about 5 times while we were there. She brought the check about 5 minutes after our game ended which wasn't bad because we weren't in a rush. I do wish that there was a "call" button in the bay that will alert the server if we would like to place an order--would be a good addition especially with the high price to play. I would recommend TopGolf as a fun experience with friends but come with a hefty budget or no budget at all if you're interested in the food and drinks too. We ordered the queso which was great. I also ordered 2 mixed drinks and they seemed very weak compared to other area bars especially for the price. So bring your wallet and you'll have a great time. I'm hoping they have really good specials through out the year so that I don't have to break the bank on a working College student budget. read more

As a first timer, I had the best experience. I had been wanting to go for a really long time and finally had the chance. I loved playing golf there. It was more fun than I expected. Now when it comes to the food, i was truly pleased. We had the best server, Diego. He was such a character making us all laugh! He went the extra mile for us recommending different things we should try since it was our first time and we pretty much had no idea what to get. I went out of the box and tried the manmosas and they were delicious!!! I also tried the mushi and OMG. LOVED IT. In conclusion, it was such a great time. I will definitely be back! read more

Wow...Great first time experience... I simply love this place..it is a nice place to just relax and hangout with friends...I really enjoyed how easy the set up was to eat and to play the games.. TopGolf was extremely busy because of the holiday weekend and we had never been there. The staff was helpful in orientating our group with want to expect and gave excellent recommendations. We was told the estimated wait to play golf was about a hour and that was completely fine. The place was full of other activities to past the time.. We decided to have lunch and a few drinks...The service was great! The staff was very attentive and friendly kept the food and drinks flowing. When our time came to go hit golf balls our group all looked around at each other..like we are not ready to leave this area yet! The staff immediately picked up on our vibe and offered to facilitate and make accommodations to move our food and drinks closer to the golf pod.. The party was not interrupted!!! Everybody around us seemed to be having a wonderful time..including the staff. I've been to many top golf locations, but the Katy Top Golf was just horrible. Instead of the comfy couches, they have awkward tables and high chairs. Uncomfortable. The REAL game breaker is that a full 1/3 of the ball traps don't register. I complained about it to some of the personnel, and they just said "Yeah, we know... the nets have holes in them." That was it. No refund, no attempt to make it right. Don't spend your money here, try another location. read more

Why would top golf not take reservations? Bowling takes reservations. Movies now take reservations. Put put golf takes reservations. Batting cages take reservations. Real golf takes reservations. I showed up with 4 friends on Saturday, tried to call in advance and not only do they not take reservations for smaller parties but the phone system doesn't offer any info as to how long the wait is. Well we showed up and the wait was over 3 hours. The nice gal up front said they didn't take reservations because of how many people no show. Are u kidding? Just charge people who don't show up and give a 10 minute grace period? I've been to top golf in austin and it's fun as hell! But this Houston location is far as f*** from anything and we weren't about to wait 3 hours. We left deflated. Super lame and won't be going back unless I have a party of over 12 ppl which I think is the minimum to get a rezzy. I've noticed that the manager tends to comment on reviews both negative and positive so I'd love to know why in gods name you guys wouldn't take reservations and cap the parties with a scheduled time limit to afford you the ability to schedule another party immediately following the first? You could even ask the customers to pay more for a longer time period. At least people wouldn't have to wait hours.... are all you people writing excellent reviews willing to wait hours for this? read more

Golfing is fun, but the food here is under par. I've tried the flatbread which is okay, not bad. But for brunch on the weekend it seems as if they don't even heat up the food. We ordered French toast and eggs Benedict. I had to send the eggs back because it was not hot at all.... I got a second one and it was the same temperature. Do these guys even have heat lamps for their food?? I know it's not suppose to be served cold but I prefer anything I eat to at least be warm. This place is amazing. Please send one to California! The driving range is beautiful and it lights up different colors at night. The idea of a driving range with drinks and food is even better than going bowling. On top of that, this place has three levels that overlook the same golf field. We had the banh mi flatbread (pork, peppers, and pickled vegetables), mushi, and spinach quesadilla which were all sooo delicious. For dessert we had the injection donut holes - weird concept - they give you donut holes with syringes that have raspberry and chocolate filling and you inject them into the donut hole yourself, but they were delicious as well. The golf game was a bit pricey, $40/hour, but I had a blast with my girlfriends. They have a set of golf clubs (for men and for women) next to each seating area and table. Well I've been to Topgolf locations around Texas and Oklahoma. I always enjoy the great atmosphere and the fun games. What people sometimes miss is the food is really good. We had nachos and queso dip that were very good. My brother had the smokehouse burger and commented that it was outstanding. The makes it complete - great games and great food t one location. went here on a tues night around 7pm with 2 friends and the gf. we were told it was a 45 min wait on a tuesday. i cannot imagine what it's like on a fri or sat night especially when a place like this is open until 1am on the weekends in houston. while we were waiting we ordered some food. me and the gf split cajun gumbo, ultimate club sandwich, and chicken and waffle sliders. the bar and eating area are really nice resembling a contemporary restaurant, but the gumbo was salty, the club sandwich was small for $10. the chicken and waffle sliders were good, but not worth $10. i realize people don't come here for the food, but please topgolf at least make it good if you gonna charge $10. now for the golfing part. they bays are nice as they have screens facing the non-players and 1 facing the player on the mat. you can choose between different games. the drawback is the bays cost $40/hr at night/primetime and $20/hr during the day. come during the day if possible to avoid the crowds and to save some money. overall, fun place to hang out, but going here regularly can get expensive and the crowds will be crazy until it dies down or they open another one in houston. read more

We tried this place for the first time on a rainy Saturday afternoon - I was expecting it to be busy based on the wait times listed in some of these other reviews, but it was about 3/4 empty - zero waiting. The bays are covered so clearly rainy weather is a great way to beat the crowds with no personal sacrifice in terms of getting wet. First, the overall experience is really fun - a totally different experience to a normal driving range, which can be stuffy and intimidating to beginning golfers and women of all abilities. So why two stars? The interface on the computer terminals at the bays is HORRIBLE, and designed to waste your time, from what I can tell. The attendant who first showed us to our bay had us swipe our credit card for the hour of play before taking almost ten minutes to explain every single play option on the screen, and then give us some personal anecdotes about his favorite games. How about being a little more honest and explaining how it works before you start charging me for my playing time?? Not cool. Next, when we tried to extend our time at 45 minutes for one more hour, the terminal would not let us charge it all on one card, repeatedly gave us the error of 'player x does not have enough credit' (wtf does that even mean, we were paying in advance for the next hour) and then once you agreed to the charge, the screen says 'do you want to continue extending your time?'. What, do I want to extend it another hour after this one I just paid for? Or are you asking me to confirm I want to extend for this hour?? We hit 'no', thinking it was trying to charge us twice, then had to do the entire sequence again. Stupid. And the whole annoying, repeated transaction took probably 10-15 minutes, of the time I have already paid for. The machine already swiped my card at the start, why not have a single screen asking if I want more time? The touch screen is also painfully slow and unresponsive. Which brings me to the other reason for 2 stars - $40/hr! For what? The food is expensive by comparison already, you have to stop play to order it or tell the wait staff you're fine, the setup and explanation took about 10 minutes, 10 minutes+ for credit card problems... the ball dispenser took ~20-30 seconds on multiple occasions, the screen takes about the same time to register and score your shot, so the whole thing is designed to draw out your non-playing time for as long as possible. Also on multiple occasions the screen didn't register a shot, when we could clearly see the ball drop into the target. Switching between players sometimes didn't stick, so you have to keep checking that the right player is getting the shot on their score. In the two hours we spent there, we hit probably 60-80 balls, which would have cost about $10 at a regular range and taken about 45 minutes. So for two people for what amounted to about 90 minutes of usable time, plus drinks and food, it cost us about $150. For that price we could play 18 holes at one of the many nice courses in town. Yes, this is fun alternative to regular golf, and obviously with a crowd of people the cost/benefit ratio improves, but for a small group the excessively slow interface and what seems to be calculated time-wasting on all fronts is NOT worth it. A shame, because if the /hr cost were closer to $15-20, I'm sure the longevity of the business model would be much better. It's clearly a novelty right now that is hugely popular, but I suspect in a year it will be a ghost town. read more

We've only been here a few times. Every time has been great until today. Olivia was our server tonight and she exceeded all expectations. Me and my fiancé seriously could not figure how to work the monitor and Olivia came right in and saved the day. She took our orders and everything was really yummy. The golf interaction part and the games are amazing but what makes this a 2 star instead of a 5 is the service. I've been twice now and the service is absolutely terrible. Our waiter last Saturday was slammed, didn't use a pen/paper and took all of our orders by "memory". Well, his memory did not serve him properly and he continually messed up our order, brought wrong food and wrong drinks. Likewise, he continually disappeared for extremely long periods of time. Brought another friend with me and this time I tried out the driving range since I'm not into playing golf as opposed to watching on the Tele I decided to give it a try. first time at this top golf location, I've been to the one in spring but since I moved to the Katy area we decided to have a little birthday party here today. we had made reservations online. we were having a bit of an issue since we didn't specify what floor we needed and we wanted the 2nd or 3rd floor luckily Julio and I'm sorry I can't remember how to spell the young ladies name, its starts with an "El" gladly helped us get our 2 bays on the second floor. both were very helpful and accommodated to our needs. I didn't have my card and we needed extra cards and ''El" gladly took our information down and got our cards. I'm do apologize I didn't get the young ladies name but she was amazing and so was Julio. never made a reservation so I didn't know what to expect but they were the most helpful. everyone had a blast! will come back again for sure! read more
