Came here for a team building event midday. Instagram-friendly, good food, and comfortable shoes. What more do you need?

This was a beautiful bowling alley. Well decorated and clean and modern. We were assigned a server who made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered pizza and drinks and it was a few steps above typical bowling alley pizza. The cushioned bench seating was a nice touch, the table was designed to put your shoes under, and there was plenty of table space as well as bar space

The bowling alley is beautiful, and I had booked it for a private event. The service provided was exemplary, and the staff was very courteous. The food was very good, with a nice variety of options for guests. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and served on time, which added to the overall experience. However, they do not offer dairy-free options, so keep that in mind if you have guests with dietary restrictions. For private events, you need to contact their manager and make a separate booking. A minimum of 13 people is required to reserve the space. Payments must be made in advance--at least 25% is required to secure the booking, and the remaining balance is due 48 hours before the event. There is a 3.5% convenience fee for credit card payments, though they also accept checks and ACH transfers. In terms of pricing, it is a bit on the higher side, with Saturday events being charged at a premium rate. Overall, it's a great place for hosting an event.

Hosted a bowling event with my alumni association; was very easy to communicate with bowl & barrel, the food was great, we had the spinach dip, pretzel and a few pizzas, our host Anastasia was very attentive and wonderful! Also the general manager David is very kind as well. Great ambiance very family friendly for a Sunday afternoon and they had all of the various football games on! Would definitely recommend for large parties, date nights or just hanging out with friends

Such a boujee upscale bowling alley. We came here at noon on a Thursday and paid $21 for an hour for two people which was a pretty good deal (shoes included). We had a lot of fun. Loved the experience!!

I came for a birthday bowling party, and it was fun! It was family friendly, although the kiddos next to us, the parents really paid them no mind and let them jump on the furniture and let them be loud and rambunctious. Other than that, we had to find a waiter to take our order and when it was time to leave we had to find the same waiter to get our tickets to check out. I got fries and an Old Fashioned. The Old Fashioned was NOICE!!!! I would have loved another one. The fries, meh, they weren't nothing to write home about, nor were they hot. But it's fine. The environment was clean, bathrooms were clean. I would definitely go back if they happen to have an adult night.

Horrible experience last Friday when we came out for my sister's birthday. We had to switch lanes 3 times because the first was broken and then they overbooked another lane. I had to go into the Men's restroom because the woman's was a disaster (both my mom and myself had told staff previously). We had to walk to the bar every time to order things, even sodas and waters. I had asked if they were training trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but they said no. Everyone was just standing around. They perceive to be an upscale bowling alley but they do not treat it as such. It's way too expensive to spend the money on the service and treatment you get here. Honestly will take a lot to want to come back.

Celebration for a 50th birthday The food options are vast and delicious the best are the empanadas and the sliders along with the stuffed mushrooms ‍. Love the lighting for bowling not so much for photos . But the lanes are well spaced for large parties. Service was good my only concern is servers should ask all celebration attendees if they would like something to drink. And food should stay covered. I highly recommend setting up an event.

Christmas day and most things were closed. Bowl & Barrel was open and we have wanted to go here for a while. This place has a cool bowling vibe with a bar and servers who come by for a limited menu. We were able to play 3 bowling games in 54 minutes. The team comes by to ask if you want more time, and we asked for 2 30-minute slots. This visit satisfied my curiosity. The staff wasn't overly pleasant. They seemed ready to get the next customers in. Parking: challenging Can park down the street in covered area in garage . Menu: limited only had pretzels and burgers today Customer service: fair For a 1st visit they didn't make an effort to make us wish to return Fun : definitely. Loved the way the lanes were set up and comfortable sitting . We had a good time playing . Not sure will return.

    LYNCHBURG SOUR
    Markiesa B.

While in town visiting I came across this spot for happy hour deals and they didn't disappoint. I got there around 315 and got me a Lynchburg sour and lemon drop martini for $3 as well as two burger sliders for $3. Place wasn't crowded and the bartender was helpful and attentive. The drinks were not weak either. If I bowled I probably would've gave it a 5 star but I was just enjoying happy hour. If I ever come back to Houston again this will be the first stop.

What is the age requirement after 9 pm?

I don't believe their is a age restriction for any part of the day

Can we order food from General Public next door since they share one kitchen?

    Older kids welcome?

We allow kids of all ages. In the evening time after 7pm small children need to be accompanied by an adult.

Yes, they play music. It's a mix, but mainly current pop songs.

We were all expecting bar food quality but everything was really good especially the chicken tacos and fruit salad. Major, major props on them for killing the hosting of our event. The bar is decently sized especially when you factor the inside portion and outside portion. However the bathrooms are tiny with only 1 urinal and 1 stall. There was constantly a line when we visited even on a Thursday night. Parking is also very limited. The lot is very small and does not fit many cars. If you're looking for a chill place to hang and grab a beer or two with some friends and watch sports either inside or outside, this will definitely be your kind of place.

The indoor bar area is massive, and the patio is just as big, making it great for large groups or events. It definitely has that laid-back, social vibe, and it's also dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. Customer service was good, and the drink prices were reasonable, especially for a place of this size and popularity. It did get pretty crowded, which adds to the energy if you're going for that kind of atmosphere. There isn't a full kitchen, but there was a food truck on-site (I believe it was Hearsay). It was okay--not bad, but nothing standout. You can also bring in outside food or order from nearby spots, which is convenient. I've been an avid Netherlands' futbol supporter over the last 30+ years and never knew a place existed in Houston.. but was pleasantly surprised to have seen this packed house with a very lively atmosphere inside.. Most of the crowd there tho, like myself, weren't actually Dutch, but everyone was just there for the vibes. That said, we ended up standing outside because it was probably over capacity. Took me a good 30 minutes just to order a bucket of Heinekens. From what I can tell, this place's giving more of a neighborhood dive bar. It was hot and crowded as one can get (probably over capacity if you ask me.. the parking was hard to find in the neighborhoods nearby and we had to walk a good 5-10min), and $35 for a bucket of 6 small Heinekens isn't really the best deal.. but can't blame them. Our large party had a buffet of food - all of it was basic but tasty - panko-breaded chicken tenders, chips and queso, and quesadillas. Service was actually stellar throughout our time here. Bartenders and servers came around to our group frequently to ask if they could get us anything. I did not expect that from a divey bar like this.
