This is located next to the Popeyes and in the juicy crab. Parking is plentiful and there is no charge. The waitress was very nice and the happy hour was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was slow and the AC was not working, which left not only us but the waitresses sweating also.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This made for a poor experience and I didn't want to really move a lot because I didn't want to get musty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Visit at your own risk.

Please don't waste your time coming here!! I went last night the soda machine was out so all they could serve was canned coke or canned Sprite. My Cajun Pasta as you see I ordered with shrimp extra for $18 was worthless. As you see the shrimp the placed in my pasta were cut in pieces to make it seem like amount. Which I've never seen before !!! I got the wet garlic spicy wings as well but they definitely weren't garlic spicy flavor. It was more buffalo taste smh. They had ran out of flatbread so i couldn't get a Pizzia and had limited items on the menu. The drinks were watered down and tasted more like Koolaid. I couldn't taste any liquor. I definitely won't be back. I am all for supporting black business but this one will need a lot of revamping. They also add an automatic 20% gratuity to your bill so keep that in mind when coming because the servers don't tell you that when you pay.

Salmon was so good!! Bartenders and service was excellent. I went on a wed night. Not many people there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I use to come here a lot before the new owners and change of venue. It's not my crowd but the service and food was excellent. I don't like that they demand a $75/hold on credit cards for tabs and also they auto grat by 20% every tab even if you're by yourself at the bar. I understand the need with the crowd but that sucks to have all of that demanded and automatic. Good food and service but not for me and won't be coming back myself.

I was invited here as a first time visitor. There is ample parking outside and the inside is divided up into several sections. We set to the furthest left section after. The group there had a dj while the football game was on. The service was pretty good and drinks reasonably priced. I did get to try some of the food and the shrimp and fish plate was very good. After the game we went to the patio area where there is a covered and uncovered area both with several TVs. There is also an area next to the patio where there is a giant tv made up of several smaller TVs. I throughly enjoyed myself and I will return again to watch a game.

This place works for me starting with a big hello after walking through the door by Foxy C. The Fox Trap is a very large venue that is perfect for large groups or a one on one with someone special. The walls are black and packed with televisions. The bar is huge and you'd be lucky to get Foxy C as your bartender, a skilled mixologist with a big personality. They also have excellent food to match the cocktails. I loved the lamb sliders which were cooked to perfection and surprisingly tender served with fries. I wish that I lived closer so I could make this place a regular just to check out the happy hour.

New spot on Westheimer, Westchase area opened, August 2024. Popped in during happy hour. Food/Happy Hour: Drinks & appetizers are reduced prices for happy hour (HH) I got the trio trap appetizer which consists of 3 chicken wings (you pick flavor), 2 boudin egg rolls, & 2 sliders.( shrimp or chicken, grilled or fried) HH price was $15, regular price is $22. Additional slider protein options exist (lamb, salmon, chicken, turkey catfish) if you place just a slider order. Grilled shrimp slider option is different & they were tasty. 2 shrimp per slider. 2 boudin egg rolls and 3 chicken wings, spicy garlic, were both very good. The spicy garlic is flavorful with a hint of spiciness, not hot. Drinks: Drink menu had some different signature drinks that all sounded pretty tasty. Love the variety of options. I opted for a pineapple old fashion. It has bourbon & mezcal for a nice balanced drink. Just a tad sweet for me so I'd ask for little less sweet next time. Service: Service was great. The bartender, Foxy C. greeted us & all the customers upon entry. She made great drinks & had such a pleasant disposition. The background was nice R&B, just the right volume to enjoy yet be able to have conversation The place has 4 distinct eating/gathering areas plus the bar. They all flow into each other. 1 area has pool tables. 1 area has a stage. I visited on a weekday evening but the bartender says they sometimes have multiple DJs in the different sections to provide different music on the weekends. I will definitely return. I'll have to see what the weekend vibe is like!

Westheimer has a new spot. Stopped in for brunch and some college football. They have plenty of parking and seating available. They had complimentary mimosas when you walked in. Nice decor and lots of space there are like 3 different rooms/spaces in here plus a patio. They offer hookah, brunch, full bar, and pool. The brunch was good, nice, crispy catfish seasoned well. If you're not a grits lover, this might not be for you. Grits to me was the star. You could oder them with catfish, shrimp, or lambchops. The French toast was nice and sweet served with a bourbon glaze, almost resembled dessert to me,it was very rich. I was surprised it wasn't too packed for a Saturday. I played a little pool with my friends and enjoyed 2 mimosa carafes. To me, the orange is the best. The pineapple and cranberry seemed to overpower the champagne they used. My only issue is for pool they hold your ID, and I left without getting it back after a few hours. i forgot about it, and so did the waitress. I went back Sunday to retrieve it, and it was chaos. I waited over 1 hour for my ID to be returned as there wasn't a designated place behind the bar. While I was waiting, 4 couples left due to waiting over 45 minutes to be sat. They seemed to be understaffed for brunch and football Sunday. This place has potential, but there are a few housekeeping things they need to get in order. I'd love to come back, but Sunday clearly is not the day for great service, so I'll stick to a weekday or Saturday when there is a smaller crowd that is manageable.

We had to take our girlfriend to the IHA airport (Bush Airport) in Houston. We decided to try the restaurant that we saw on TikTok called THE FOX Trap restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Huge inside with a full bar and plenty of televisions all over.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For starters, we began by Popping Bottles (Champagne) with pineapple juice and orange juice; cause ' It's 5 o clock somewhere. Our server was La La and she was Amazing and so was the Chef along with the rest of the staff. All of the Food was Delicious...super delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall Experience, Superb...This place is Truly Awesome and they have billards, table tennis along with a Huge outdoor patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

After the inevitable confusion and 30+ min wait for a seat we left. I knew this wasn't going to be a fun time when I saw a line outside the bar at 3p on a Saturday. It's a (neighborhood) bar, not a club, not a concert venue. Every table was designated for reservations. Reservations get priority, yet no one answered when I called at 12:49p to make a reservation for 3p. No online reservation option available. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I hate this club/restaurant fusion trend. Let clubs be clubs and (sports) bars be bars, if I go to Twin Peaks or YardHouse, I can just walk in and sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was just two of us, why can't we sit until the party who reserved gets here. There were open (empty) tables everywhere.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a nice vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]The wings were amazing&the drinks were strong .My server was a sweetie give her a raise.Super polite made great suggestions & made sure we never needed for a thing.

I didn't get an opportunity to eat here but the drinks alone were really good. We got the Peach Old Fashioned and Pink 75. They were both refreshing with the right amount of alcohol. The service was also really good. Our serve was really nice. It was packed, so we were able to walk in and get a good table. Will definitely go back for food

Second, I discovered that they're owned by the same people behind Masraff's. That's a good start. They're located in a shopping center with several other businesses, including a cat vet right next door. While it was busy, I didn't have trouble finding a parking spot. Ambiance (4/5): This is part of where By Popular Demand (BPD) shines. The interior is trendy, with both tabletop seating and more comfortable chairs and sofas. There's a small patio in the front and a larger one on the side. There aren't a ton of seats inside, so think of it as a smaller, more intimate bar. Service (3.5/5): A little slow to start out with as it took our waitress a good while to come and take our order (we were sitting on the front patio). She did apologize for the delay, and she was friendly from there on out, so things improved throughout our evening there. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so I was on a liquid diet. I have heard they have a pretty awesome steak night on Mondays though. Next time around! Drinks (3.5/5): While they have a full bar, BPD is a cocktail bar. They have 10-12 craft cocktails, plus everything else you would expect at a bar. I went with That Cucumber Drink. I'm always a fan of any cocktail that incorporates cucumber. It was one of the few items on the menu that stood out to me. A decent number of of the offerings are more of your standard cocktails (margaritas, ranch waters, etc.) and a good number have brown liquor (while I prefer clear liquor). Not the best menu for my taste, but that's not to say it's not a solid menu. Next time around, I'll have to stop by for steak night or to try out their food menu.

They managed to keep the same relaxed neighborhood vibe people love while giving it a much more modern, polished, and upscale feel. The updated design, lighting, TVs and overall atmosphere look incredible and make the space feel fresh without losing its personality. They still have the spinning drink wheel! The outdoor seating especially feels elevated now and makes for the perfect Houston brunch spot or night out. One of the best parts about NextDoor is that it's connected to Hungry's, which means you get full access to their menu while enjoying the lounge atmosphere. Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive, the crowd is chill, and it never feels overly pretentious or chaotic. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything, whether it's happy hour after work, date night, catching up with friends over drinks on the patio or a solo adventure. Love seeing a longtime Houston favorite continue to evolve while still delivering the same great experience that's kept me coming back for years. Definitely one of my go-to spots on Memorial Drive. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. It appears Hungry's uses the bar area like a break/training room or to do other tasks like rolling utensils in napkins.

We came in for a girls night, and to try the girl dinner that they had been promoting. It came with Steak, Fries and a Caesar Salad and cocktail, which I think is a perfect combo. The steak came out perfectly cooked to my liking, the fries, super yummy, wished I had more! And the salad was light and crisp. I opted for the espresso martini, which again, made to my liking! After seeing that, I just went for a salad to avoid further disappointment with my own food. The bill was the next headache. The waitress seemed to try her best, but she needed help. It took over an hour to get things sorted out. There was no follow-up, no "sorry for your inconveniences," especially on my birthday, or anything.
