If anyone is reading through my reviews, you are probably super confused as to why I went from a Denver review, to KC, to Paris, now back to KC. I'm catching up and cleaning up old bookmarks.... Duh. Simply put, Top Golf is a blast. I was tasked with planning my region meetings last May in KC, and wanted to make it a blast for my team. We ended up going to Jack Stack one night (because, when in KC, do as the KCers do: barbecue), then UpDown, a Royals game, and finally Top Golf. With a larger group, we were able to do reservations, so our experience was vastly different than going and having to wait for a bay to open. The staff were all friendly and attentive, and replenished our food and drinks frequently. My team had a blast and I got a ton of props afterwards for planning such a great outing. I would highly recommend Top Golf for any company events, birthday parties, or just a fun night out with a group. read more

Been going for sometime but today kinda sucked. Started by us going at 11::30am. We parked our car and found beer bottles/trash in the median in the parking lot. After picking up the trash.... I found out why it was there! There are absolutely 0 trash cans outside or outside the door. I walked into top golf with garbage in my hands. We got an area and began to play. We found the green target wouldn't give you any points when making it in. Our kids are super competitive and this happened over and over. I didn't believe it until my shot didn't count. The yellow target did the same thing!!!!Went on like this for about an hour and a half. Told our hostess about the issue and she said she would send someone down to check. Nothing else. So..... kids ended up upset as just wasn't the experience I was looking for after buying 2 hours and spending $80. read more

This was my first time to eat and play here. We got here and waited 30 minutes for anyone to take a drink order. So we left the bar (which had only 2 bartenders for a packed bar) and got a table. 15 min later, we flagged down a server who sent someone to take our order. So we were there 45 minutes without being served. Food: I got the nachos. They were really good. They were not very warm by the time I got them, but I was starving. And the flavor was really really good. The steak had a good flavor, and the chips were covered well. The beans and guacamole were excellent. We also got the mushi which is like a chicken wrap that looks like sushi. This was good! It had flavored rice and amazing sauces. I was really impressed and would order this again. It was really filling - could be meal by itself. We waited 2 hours to play golf - we knew it would be that long so we were okay with it. Someone came to help and we met the manager. The golf is really fun - even if you cannot play golf (like me). After golf, we went inside to play shuffleboard which was also really fun! I wish there was a server inside, though. My family and I were thinking about Top Golf in Kansas City over Thanksgiving weekend. So I called to reserve a bay at the time I had to make a $50 deposit to reserve a spot. Everything was good there were 4 of us. We had a couple drinks and appetizers and added 30 min of extended time so 1.5 hours of golf. Our bill was $127 and we gave a gracious tip. On Monday I realized the $50 deposit was not applied to the bill. Which made the evening cost $177- so I called and asked about the deposit and was told the $50 was for not having to wait for a bay. With the current Covid 19 situation there was no waiting. I felt this was misleading and turned the experience sour. read more

Had been wanting to try this place for a long time and a friend of ours had a free bay for an hour so we decided to give it a try. We started off by having lunch in the bar/restaurant. This place is somewhat overwhelming and confusing when you walk in. A greeter up front points you to the main desk and that is the best place to start. It's usually about a 45 minute wait to get a bay. So we put our names in then went to the bar. There was no direction once we got to the bar so we took a seat at the last open booth. Our server came by and took our beer order and the ladies ordered waters. The server didn't bring out the beers as a bar back did. Our server proceeded to disappear for a while and she never brought the waters for the wives. Finally, after about 20 minutes, she walked by and we flagged her down. We reminded her there were two people who had not gotten drinks at our table yet and we were ready to order. She took our order and the rest was alright from there on out. I think she just forgot about us for a minute. Because of all the mess we went through trying to order and get our drinks we missed the text that our bay was ready for us. We promptly called them and they said we missed our chance and that we had been placed at the back of the line. This meant another 45 minutes until we could play. We finally got to our bay and got settled. We had no idea what to do so someone came over to help. The employee made two accounts for us to use but never mentioned they would cost money. It's a bit of a process to get registered and we finally got the game up and going but our time had been running already(they charge by the hour). The game itself was incredibly fun. The balls have chips in them that track where you hit it and it assigned points based on how good of a shot. I do have to say that this is fantastic for people who don't golf or for kids. The ladies had fun hitting it and watching it roll into the targets. For someone like me who actually plays, it seemed like you don't get to hit enough balls in an hour. I would have had just as much fun going to a regular range and buying a bucket. Top Golf can be pricey but does make the game accessible to those who are not golfers. It's rather relaxing sitting on the couches enjoying some drinks with friends and hitting some balls. It reminded me of a bowling type atmosphere just with golf. I did leave wanting more though and felt like 1 hour was nowhere near enough. I would rather they do it by number of games or balls so you don't feel so rushed. They do offer a lot of coupons and reduced rates on Tuesdays. I would say take advantage of these and you will have a fun little experience. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. from start to finish it was pretty bad. I originally inquired about a private event, but the prices were so ridiculously inflated I declined. Made reservations for bays and called to confirm they could be together - no problem on the phone but when we arrived, not only were we standing around after the reservation time started, but the bays were not near each other. We asked 3 different staff members if this could be changed, seeing about 50% of the bays sitting empty, but no one agreed to make this happen. We squeezed our group into 2 bays and figured we could make it work. Our server came by and instead of being excited about the number in our group and the money she could make off us, she looked annoyed that there were so many of us. Took 30 minutes to even get a drink order in. She never said hello or introduced herself, and after another 30 minutes she disappeared and we got another server. The bottom line is, if you want to go here with more than 6 people, good luck. They all but force you to book a private event and jack the price up for the same experience. We were treated like a nuisance even though we had a large group, ready to spend money. No apologies, no service, no thank you! Won't be back, which is their loss, as I often book corporate events and this is close to our office. Spreading the work to my LARGE company that Top Golf is a terrible option for group functions. read more

This was a fun way to spend an afternoon! It's basically a high tech driving range. The balls are microchipped and keep score as you try to hit targets. The facility is very nice and the staff seemed friendly. We thought it was fun, but a little expensive. Memberships are $5 per person. $25/hour (before noon) and goes up throughout the day. An hour goes by fast! Overall, thought it was a unique and fun take on a driving range. read more

Great fun, even though I suck at golf. Tonight was the night! The weather was perfect. Food was great! I highly recommend the sunrise burger. I don't eat bread or tomatoes, they were happy to accommodate my dietary needs. My drink was just right. We were here a few years ago and honestly it was even better tonight. My family visited this location last night. Wonderful experience. All staff was super friendly . We had not one problem when booking online , 2 weeks prior. We were running late, so of course we called, the employee was super friendly. Kate our waitress/host was super friendly, caring and at the top of her game. Been a few times. Every time has been fun. Wait time can be long but since there's a great bar with TV and food, waiting is ok. The food is very good. I was pleasantly surprised. I've had typical bar food ie burgers and it's always been great. The golf range is very fun if friends are competitive or not. This was a surprise birthday gift from my 2 boys. I'm not a golfer but I do like going to driving ranges, batting cages and go-carting, so this was perfect. There were 6 of us total and after we got our swipe cards and our host explained the rules to us at our sitting area, things got interesting. We chose 2hrs and played the high score game. In between laughing at the mistakes we made and the great shots, believe me 2 hrs wasn't enough time. They have about 15 different games to choose from on the computer screen, each one seemed to be challenging and if you wanted to compete against a friend or as teams there was a game you could play. Being from the south I tried the shrimp and grits, chicken & waffles, and the fried chicken sandwich and fries. The grits were a little too runny and had chives in them which made them stronger than normal. Everything else was good, and our tab for the 3 people who ate including 2 beers was $50, it would have been more but we were having so much fun 2hrs felt like 45 mins. On the day we went the weather was warm but they also have great heaters to help knock the chill off if it were cold. It got packed real fast but their setup is more than big enough so you don't feel cramped. I will definitely return when my golf playing in-laws come to visit and save Dave & Busters for my younger nieces and nephews. read more

I love Top Golf, I have been to several in the past and Overland Park has kept the streak going. They have taken care of my small to medium size groups twice now. I love the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and obviously the golf. Great Weekday rates, I do wish there was a way to make "reservations" just to ensure that we had several bays together. We have never had a problem getting bays near each other but it would be nice to know for sure. Keep it up Overland Park! I'll see you again soon. read more

Worst Top Golf I've ever been to. My family and I were seated at the restaurant/bar area waiting to be served. All the servers walked by and didn't acknowledge us at all. We waited over 30 min and had multiple servers ignore us. We tried to get their attention every single one ignored us. read more

We had a deposit put down of $300 for a birthday party and we were unable to get anything scheduled due to the pandemic. Top Golf would only give us half of our money back since we didn't use it, what a joke. If you want to play golf go to T-Shotz it is far and away better than Top Golf. read more

Yesterday, I came for the first time around 1:30pm. I was charged $20 for a drink they forgot to pour and never brought, then they ran my card and asked for a tip before I got the drink, which I didn't want anymore. I sat at the bar with my friends for a half hour while they all enjoyed theirs, then got handed mine while I was leaving. No effort was made to correct their error. read more

I love everything about this place other than the horrible reservation aspects. You can not reserve a box unless you are a high paying member -- not even for a extra fee. So taking a group here is not easy -- but it is really fun! You can do a event reservation, but you have to go through a lot of hoops and it is too complex for just an average night out with a group. If you go during the slower times during the week and not the weekends and not in the evening the boxes are not so hard to get into -- otherwise plan on waiting 30-90 minutes or more. The place is really fun though and there is nothing else like it in the city. The food is also pretty good for being a place where the food is not the thing that gets you to come in the first place. If they would fix the reservation aspects so you can with the app or online reserve a book online without having to call or email anyone and know you have a time slot and just pay a one time fee to do so that would win this place 5 stars. Until then -- 4 stars because it is a hassle to take a group here. read more

Wow - I know Top Golf is now but they have some serious work to do. I came at 2:30 PM on Thursday afternoon with one friend. Parked in view of the bay's and noticed half were empty. Paid the obligatory $5 for a card and $20 for one hour. When I asked what bay to go to I was directed to a "concierge." A concierge at a driving range is gimmicky to me - but whatever. The concierge then asked for a mobile number to text me when my bay was ready - this should have been a bad sign given more than half of the bay's were open. I didn't expect to be waiting long, somewhere in the range of 10 minutes and was shocked when I asked how long the wait would be and was met with an eye roll and the answer of "awhile." Ok dear concierge how long is "awhile?" Evidently according to Top Golf awhile = three hours?!?! I was told I could wait in the bar / restaurant until our bay was ready...hmm things are beginning to clear up. At this point it began to became obvious what Top Golf really is - an entertainment destination with large profit margins on food / beverages that utilizes Golf to draw customers. Think a golfing Dave and Busters. To be honest the whole operation felt like a bait and switch - they advertise themselves as a serious golfing facility but are more interested in selling you overpriced beer and appetizers than in the golfing experience. This wouldn't be so bad if customers were aware on the front end but I spent $25 before I was even told there would be a wait, let alone a wait of three hours. It was the first time in over 20 years I have experienced a wait for a driving range. Here is a hint for TopGolf - if something is going to be a three hour wait you tell the customer before they pay, not after. I mentioned to the "concierge" that I could play a full round of golf in three hours and elected to leave and head to the nearest driving range where shockingly I bought a bag of balls and preceded directly to the tee. Part of Top Golf's marketing pitch is that most people don't have four hours to play golf. This is probably true - but most people certainly don't have four hours to wait around and then hit golf balls for one hour. The point of a driving range is quick practice. If this is what you are looking for steer clear of Top Golf. I know they are more of an "entertainment" destination but they bill themselves as a Golf destination with PGA pro's etc. in my opinion if you come here primarily for golf purposes you will be disappointed. For me Top Golf shanked one off the first tee...they may get a mulligan, but it is going to take a while...and not while the wait is three hours. read more

I come to top golf a lot, it is definitely a good place to bring a bunch of friends. I have always enjoyed the food and service, except this time. Me and my friends golfed, ordered food and drinks. After we finished golfing, we were hanging around to finish our bucket. Our server was almost done with his shift., so we were happy to close our tabs with him because he was a great server and made sure we always had drinks. We had a new server, Andy, who came up to us and asked us to leave or drink our drinks downstairs because they were too busy. We later asked another waiter why we got kicked out and they told us that they weren't that busy and our server just wanted a new table to get a new tab going. It was just rude and we were paying customers like everyone else there. The manager was quick to respond to hear our negative experience at top golf. It was nice to see that they truly care about their customer service. I usually highly recommend this place to all of my friends and anyone from out of town. I am not going to let one bad visit ruin my outlook of top golf. Food is always amazing here and I look forward to eating here. Drinks are a little pricey, but it's worth it for the golfing experience. read more

We come here quite often. It is fun and relaxing. People of all skill levels can do well and have fun. The price point is a bit high, and if you come when school is out, there's a lot of kids being generally obnoxious. However, if you come early, prices are reasonable. It is always a good time. I planned an outing with 3 other couples for an evening at Top Golf. I called ahead to try to make a reservation. I learned from the automated messaging that we needed 12 people for a reservation. I made several attempts to talk to an actual person to find out about wait times, expectations and any other options for reservations for 8 people. No answer and no return calls from the messages I left. Our friends drove over 40 min to arrive by 6:00pm. We were directed to the card registration counter where I inquired about our options. I was then directed to the concierge to ask about a VIP membership in an attempt to get a bay in a reasonable time. After waiting in the 2nd line of the night, we were told they are sold out of VIP's and we'd need a membership card to put our name on the waiting list....back in line again for a membership card Third line, we get registered, but due to computer error, couldn't print the cards. Started over with another membership card rep. Now we had our cards and were allowed to be added to the wait list after waiting in the 4th line of the evening(sound like a fun night yet??) We were told it would be 4 hours. Unbelievable. The lines to get food or a drink were ridiculous (as you have 400 people standing around for 4hours) we left and had dinner at a nearby restaurant with the slim chance that we would be notified of being selected. At 10:54pm, I received the text!!! It was finally our turn. By this time we were all at home. It's difficult to organize a group outing and find a time that works with so many busy schedules. This was disappointing to say the least. For a franchise, I would think they would understand that customer service is the #1 factor to success. There has got to be a better way. One chance for a first impression. read more

I want to start out this review by saying I absolutely hate golf. I'm awful at it I can't figure out the game by Swing is awful but with that being said I was more than willing to try a three-tiered driving range that offered you beer and food service with computerized scoring of your golf game. We ended up on the top floor of Topgolf which gave you a pretty good view of the playing field. There are these huge funnel looking things that depending on where you hit your golf ball at a microchip in the ball was coded to the player that was hitting it and the ball would fall into the funnel and then score accordingly. This is a really cool concept as it wasn't horribly expensive. You could tell that they were a lot of businesses there who may have had their corporate outings happen there and this was obvious that they may be catering to this clientele because they were loaded with groups like this. We brought our kids and they were more than happy to cater to the young ones as they had golf clubs kids sized and even offered a little bit of instruction. It was about a hundred and thirty-eight degrees outside this day but they had fans and plenty of cold beers to keep it cool down while we go to. The only thing that I found a little Annoying was you had to buy a top golf club card which helps them keep track of you and your school and kind of encouraged a frequent flyer Style recording of how many times you've been there. I wish we had Topgolf in Cleveland however the climate doesn't allow for year-round golfing as the place you have to close about four months out of the year. However in cities like Columbus a facility like top golf with drive and I would drive 2 hours just to go to a place like this again. Great job read more

Topgolf - New American Near Me - Overland Park, Kansas

You wouldn't ask Pete Weber or Ernie McCraken to review Rock n' Bowl at the local lanes. Similarly, you shouldn't ask Tiger Woods or Jordan Spieth's opinions on Top Golf. In reality, Top Golf is the Rock n' Bowl of driving ranges and as an avid golfer, it drives me crazy. I love the concept here, however. Great bar & restaurant atmosphere, super smiley employees, good music, cold brews, and a bevy of games to play while you're hitting off the mats. These all spell a good time for birthday parties, corporate social hours, and feats of strength performed by college frat boys. It doesn't spell a good time for the golfer wanting to hit some balls to hone their craft. Take that stuff to a real driving range. Top Golf's appeal is undeniable but there are some major drawbacks. We went on a Tuesday night and had to wait two hours for a stall. Yes, it gave us enough time to eat some dinner and a have a couple drinks before our group was called. But if I had just come here to hit golf balls, I should have just gone to Smileys for $10 bucks and 30 minutes. The food was decent and drink specials were ok as well. Smileys (my baseline) lets you hit about 75 balls for 10 bucks. Top Golf isn't measured by the ball, rather by the time you take. It was prime time when we went and $40 bucks a pop for each hour. We "golfed" for two hours and split $80 bucks eight ways, making the same price for Smileys but only for about 25 balls because of the time constraints. The games offered at the touch of a button are fun, but take away from the point of a driving range - distance and/or placement. It's not about how far you can hit the ball (there's a net that limits the long drives) but rather accuracy and skill. And while you watch your ball sail near one of the zones for points, you're wasting time when you could be setting up your next shot. As a semi-serious golfer, I shuttered often here. There is no concept of "shhhhh" or golf clapping. Don't expect silence during your back swing. In fact, it's just the opposite. The Shawnee Mission East kids one bay down might be trying to out drive each other and are perfectly content to scream, shout, and jump up and down upon meeting that end...and it's encouraged. The music is loud, too, and they have already received noise complaints from local neighbors. In the end, it's worth the experience to give Top Golf a try when the time is right and the mood strikes. Stay away if you have any shred of golf decency in your body. Similarly, you'll know you're the horse's rear when you're toting in your own clubs while most of the patrons here either rent or use the "house clubs" already positioned at the mats. It's a wild experience, but just not my cup of tea. read more

I've been to four different top golf locations, now. It's a great concept and obviously very polished. People: the wait staff at the KC top golf is really absent compared to other locations. They are not busier than the others. A lot of patrons at this location are also the worst. Bringing in their own clubs, trying out Happy Gilmore type swings, generally getting intoxicated, and also a ton of kids. This isn't the Masters, this isn't a frat party, and this isn't a substitute for a baby sitter for your horribly loud and uncontrollable children. Place: great layout, not enough bar and restaurant space for the long wait times, but everything is always clean and well presented. Product: it's fun. read more

So I recently had the opportunity to check out the new Top Golf located in Overland Park, KS. This is not the first Top Golf I have been to, so I feel like I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. For those of you who have never been to a Top Golf, you need to think more like a bowling ally but golf themed. This isn't a traditional driving range. It's a 3 level driving range, with GPS equipped balls in which the object of any of the games you can select, is to have your golf ball land in one of several target pits of varying size and distance. Doing so gets you points. Like a bowling center, you are charged based on the time you use the facility. I believe their rates are $20 hr during the week and $40 hr on weekends. The facility has a full bar and kitchen, as well as other bar games like darts and pool tables. The menu has some very interesting and delicious looking flair on it. However all of the food I ordered came out cold, the fries were soggy, and the bar drinks weren't mixed well. Also our server was no where to be found at times to the point that the employee I was there with often had to go fetch her. I really expected more from the service side of the facility, hence the 3 star rating. In the end I think this place will be a big hit to the area and I expect it to be constantly busy. I just hope they get the kitchen and service issues up to snuff so that this facility can be the 5 star joint it's capable of being. Even if you don't golf or never have golfed, don't be afraid to at least go try Top Golf once. read more

Maybe this isn't a fair review because I was the idiot that decided to go here at 6 on a beautiful Saturday night six weeks after this place opened. We expected crowds and a long wait. One of the members of our group navigated through the chaos in the front lobby and got a membership card and let us know that our waiting time was estimated at 3 hours. Since the restaurant there was packed, we left to eat somewhere else and came back about 2 1/2 hours later. We managed to get a spot in the bar to continue our wait. The waitress was good and the drink I ordered (a novelty drink in a golf bag shaped cup) was delicious although it had a ton of ice. About 10 o'clock we checked again on our spot in line only to hear there were 41 people/groups still ahead of us. We gave up and left over 4 hours after we arrived and were still not even close to getting a chance at the driving range. They were very far off on their estimated wait time of 3 hours, I imagine it more like 5 or 6 hours. Our waitress mentioned several other groups gave up on having a turn and left as well. My takeaway is go visit this place at an odd time, if possible. Maybe I'll write an actual review when I come back and actually play some golf. read more

It all started when two of my girlfriends asked me if I wanted to join them at TopGolf for a NYE celebration. Two things to know about me - 1. I do not golf (traumatic childhood event prevented me from ever swinging a club after my professional lessons). 2. I despise the cold. This was NOT an appealing idea to me at all. But, I love my friends and I figured I would bundle up and enjoy the adult beverages and great convo. This was an experience unlike any other. The cold outside was not a factor - 32 degrees outside and about 60 in the bay because of the awesome heaters. So, a fleece jacket kept me nice and toasty. After I took my first swing I immediately overcame that childhood event and the competition was on! Everything came back to me - "just like riding a bicycle". Good mix of all genres of music playing in the background, great food and delicious grown-up drinks. I've been hooked ever since. Seriously. I tell everyone about it. I joined their Spring league and it was awesome. The great thing is you don't have to be a golfer or be good to enjoy it! They handicap you and it puts you on a level playing field. I've had many dates there, Company outings and most recently took my family there for Father's Day. They loved it so much that we've decided this will be our Christmas outing! The service, of course, is dependent on who your server is but overall is almost always above par (no pun intended...well, ok, maybe a little pun was intended). The rest of the staff, Jason, Brittany, and others, are always fun and very helpful. The only negative, if you want to call it that, is the payment system is not easy. They really need an easier system - such as swipe your card and a button that says "use this card for everyone's time?" then yes or no. After being there at least 30 times I'm just now starting to get it. This is a great time for "almost" the entire family. Please leave children under the age of 5 home unless they will be in your lap or holding your hand 100% of the time. We almost had a mishap last weekend because parents weren't parenting and a child came running past the red line just as I was getting ready to swing - but my dad saved this little boy from an intimate encounter with my club. read more

I owe Topgolf an applaud for customer service. They had some serious distressing of locals to deal with upon their opening. People had wait times of up to 5 hours. I think the craze has settled a bit now and it seems more likely there will be less waiting from now on. Marissa Olberding is a manager at Topgolf, upon reading my disgruntled experience with my first go-round, she offered to aid in making my next experience more pleasurable. Well, it's been months since I had initially gone, but decided to give it a try today and reached out to her to see if she would still be able to help out. Marissa was so kind and wonderful, she made sure we were in the system upon checkin, people aided to get us all cards. We were ushered to a bay that was right in the middle on the third level, and we ended up playing for 1.5 hours. The games were really fun! Being from a golfing family, we were able to play some of the more competitive target games, but it was still tough. People can definitely play if they don't know how to golf, but I honestly think it would make it more pleasurable. The food was decent, we had a wing trio platter and the breakfast flatbread. The Asian wings were probably the best flavor. Our waitress was pretty attentive, and I was definitely impressed with the facility. I'm so glad Marissa reached out to me. They won me over, and I would definitely return to bring out of town friends. I'd also love to see a Yelp even here! read more

The facility is top notch and the food and service was great. Not intimidating as a first time golfer of any sort and all employees were super friendly. Only complaint was that our fan in Bay 210 was broken and no one could fix it since it was a warranty game. We planned a company event at this venue and received a confirmation email. We arrived at the date and time only to be told that they had no record of our reservation. We presented the email and they had to get a manager to work with us. An hour later they told us that they still could not find our reservation but they would accommodate us. 15 minutes later, another manger comes to us with the original employee we talked to and he told us that they were very sorry for losing our reservation and that they would cover the cost of the event as well as providing comped food and beverages. Once we began our session and had ordered food and drinks, the same manager came up to us and said that they found the reservation finally and that we would now have to pay for the games as well as the food and drinks. It was very unprofessional to 1: lose our reservation and make our whole group wait over an hour and 2: say that they were providing us with anything we wanted free of charge, then saying they were going to charge us after we ordered items. We already were prepared to pay for the games but had not planned on food and drinks, but then suddenly had to pay extra after being told they were no longer complimentary. read more

This is the spot for all avid golfers and people just looking for a chill place to relax and play. This is a great place to hang out with friends and family. Prices are pretty reasonable. It's a better deal with larger crowds since each pit is a set price per hour. They have lots of fun golfing games to play for the group to rev up some friendly competition. Overall, this is a amazing place to hang out and play. I love the cleanliness, huge outdoors platforms, tons of fresh air, great service, and yummy foods and drinks. Great concept, the atmosphere of a bowling alley, but for a driving range, with targets and scoring to make it more competitive and entertaining. Serious golfers might not love this, but I think most people will have a good time here. It looks very slick and modern, which makes sense since it's relatively new, and it has a bar on the main level where you can get drinks and food while you wait for your turn, or after you're done. Its a good excuse to get beers at 10:00 am, for those who need one. On your first visit you have to get a membership card, which runs for about $6 and you load it with money to pay for your time at the bay. This is the most time-consuming part and somewhat annoying, waiting in line to get your membership card so that then you can check in and wait for your bay. But it's only on your first visit. Once you check in you can hang out at the bar while your turn is up. They have a brunch on weekend mornings, so I grabbed a Manmosa (seriously....? I didn't know this was a thing) blue moon, orange juice, and prosecco, and eggs benedict with seasoned potatoes. It was all very good, nothing to rave about but solid and fairly priced. Then you head up to your bay which has seating for at least six people, clubs are provided at each bay, but there is room to set your own if you'd like to bring them. Prices are by the hour, $20, until noon, $40 after noon. There is a waiter that stops by sporadically to take any drink or food orders. There are several games you can pick to play, and it's a lot of fun. Great for a date, or to hang out with friends and/or family. My one complain would be their service. I had a gift card which no one seemed to know how to use and they ended up clearing the balance and it took a week of back and forward with Top-Golf's customer service to get it resolved. When we sat at the bar the bartender said hi and promptly walked away, no offer of menus or drinks, this seemed like a red flag. The server at the bay was friendlier but hard to catch. I got the impression that maybe they were a bit understaffed. The place seems to be really popular, so expect to see a lot of people, specially on weekends. My son wanted to go "Top Golfing" for part of his birthday so we went!!! The front desk was extremely nice and the concierge was also very nice... The golfing was sooooooo much fun! However.. We ordered the smores cookies.. Not so great. They were hard as bricks!! One of their servers said they are supposed to be crispy.. Wow!!! Spent way too much money on those.. They were horrible...don't order them. I wish they would have offered to make us new ones. They redeemed themselves with the beer queso... Very good! The Golfing is fun! Food is too expensive for being mediocre... You can go out for a great breakfast somewhere else and then head over to TopGolf for a good time... read more

At first glance, this place is pretty cool, a driving range on steroids. They have food, bar, and this ridiculous set-up with 3 levels of hitting bays, sensors in the golf balls, and 10 or so targets around the massive enclosed hitting area that you aim for and rack up points. It is basically bowling for golfers ... Disneyland for golfers even. You pay $20 to $40 per hour for a hitting bay with a maximum of 6 players, not bad when you have four or more players splitting the tab. You score points for hitting targets because the golf balls have sensors in them which allow your information to be captured and displayed on the computer screen. You get more points for longer shots and if you are closer to the center of the target. There are several different games you can play and the bays are heated so you do not freeze when the weather does not cooperate. We were "logged-in" to our hitting bay by a staff member before our party had finished getting their membership cards ($5), so the clock was ticking on our first hour well before we were ready to play. Our server then pounced on us seconds later asking if we wanted anything to eat or drink even though we had not had a chance to take our jackets off or look at a menu. "Could we have a couple minutes to get settled please?", I asked. She was very attentive, almost too attentive, the rest of the night, very friendly, but pushy and a bit annoying considering the fact that we were trying to play a game. Food and drink prices are moderate, in the $6-$14 range, and the menu is interesting and eclectic ... burgers and sliders ... appetizers and sandwiches ... flatbreads, salads, wraps, and mushis (whatever they are). Drinks run from $3 for a PBR to $8-$12 for mixed drinks and wine. The drinks and food portions are small for the price. I had a bloody mary ($8) and although decent, not worth the money. My bacon cheeseburger ($12) was also very small, maybe a 4-5 ounce patty, and the fries not overly abundant. Let me just say that I was still hungry after my so called meal. My buddies tater tots were exactly that, straight out of the bag and extremely greasy. The biggest problem I saw golf-wise in two visits was the fact that points are not always awarded even when the ball obviously hits the target. It does not happen often, but often enough that it can affect the outcome of the game. The computer would also change players on its own occasionally, so shots were wasted with players inadvertently adding points to an opponents score. If you are competitive and play to win, be prepared for some irritation and a possible loss that is not under your control, Being retired military, I am a "hero" member and should get a 10% discount on play, but I noticed after I got home that my discount was not applied and I paid full price ($40/hour) instead of the discounted $36 I should have paid. Another thing I do not like about Topgolf is the fact that when it comes time to add time and money to your account to pay for the bay, the only options are rounded off in $20 increments instead of allowing you to pay exactly what you owe. They also add tax to the $20 or $40 per hour rate, so you end up with a $43 tab (for example), but the next higher option to add credit after $20 is $40, so you end up with a large non-refundable balance on your Topgolf players card instead of getting a credit back on your credit card. I asked the server why I had to carry a credit over that I may never use and she told me "that's just the way it is". Recommendations for a higher review rating: 1) Give folks a chance to get settled and ensure the entire party is ready before starting the clock on the bays and pouncing on us for drink and food orders. 2) Charge people what they owe and get rid of the $20 incremental options for adding credit to our games. It is not technological rocket science and there is no reason we could not add an additional hour, see the balance, and swipe our credit card to pay exactly what we owe. Why should I give Topgolf an interest free $17 loan for God knows how long when I owe $43 and only have the option to add $80 with my credit card? Nice trick, get rid of it. 3) Fix the problems with points not being registered when targets are hit and with the computer inadvertently changing players without input. It is annoying and detracts from the competition. It does not happen at a bowling alley, so it should not happen at Topgolf. 4) Make sure "heroes" get their discounts or do away with the program. Otherwise, Topgolf is a fun way to practice and relatively inexpensive depending on how many players you have and what time you go (the earlier in the day, the cheaper it is). They have a few bugs they need to work out of the system, but on a cold Winter's eve, it is a comfortable and entertaining way to spend a couple of hours. I love going to Top Golf with my family and the weather was perfect. However the program running our bay was terrible. We had to ask for help several times since computer would assign points to other people randomly, even without us touching machine. Side screens did match home screen and often times points weren't given for balls at all. I would say system needs a refresh since party next us having same issues. No one wants to pay $40 an hour for a broken game. read more
