Golfing: 4/5 (as it's better than your typical driving range, but the price difference is noticeable) Food: 3/5 (pricey for what it is) Drinks: 3/5 (make sure you check out their daily drink specials) Atmosphere: 4/5 (prefer to go at night, when the sun is down and the lights are on) Wait Staff: 5/5 (have always had a pleasant experience) A glorified driving range with a variety of games to be played and all skill levels welcome -- even if your skill level is at 0, like mine. This is a good place for a team building, group date, trying to find something to do with a group of people type event. Compared to other driving ranges, it's pricey but they also offer a variety of games to choose from which is a step up from your traditional driving range. I've found that the weekends, between 7pm and 10pm are the busiest and will require you to wait, the wait will be longer the more people you have, and you have to put down a "reservation fee" if you reserve a bay online for weekend nights. The food is definitely above average, menu offers upscale bar food, and they offer a wide variety of alcoholic beverages (recommend doing the "build-your-own mimosas"). Make sure you keep your Topgolf card, $5 mandatory fee for creating your card, so you don't have to keep paying the $5 fee for a new card every time you go. I recommend at least going once and experiencing it, even if you're not a fan of golf. They do provide the golf clubs, or you can bring your own, but if you're a lefty, like myself, you'll have to request the left clubs that you specifically want. read more

Look if your a real golfer this place is not for you!! Don't go thinking you will have a place to practice your skills in peace. It's loud, fun and lots of roaming people. I been dying to come here being that it looks awesome driving by on the freeway. Thursday night, which happened to be the hottest night this year, was my night of choice. My friend said they have their prime hours posted so if you don't want to wait do some research on when you should go. I came in about 9:40pm and there was no wait, we were immediately taken to our bay. Staff... I can't stress it enough they are amazing!! Super friendly and eager, EAGER I say to help at anytime. Wore a genuine smile the whole time, I can tell they love their job. We happen to get a newbie in training and it being my first time and his first day (think this was Jacob or he was training the other, both did awesome jobs may I add) we learned just as much as he did that night. Maybe I'm laid back but it didn't bother me at all. Pros: spacey bay fitting maybe 5 I think, they have bigger areas for more people. The location, decor, options of what you can do here, creative games, tvs at each bay, fast service, staff, drinks (didn't try the food but I will be back to) After an hour you can start adding time of 30mins and then hours. 30mins is $20, or $10 per person so it could be more if more people are at bay. Cons: maybe a tad bit pricey especially for someone who hasn't used a golf club before lol I had to learn while using my time up. Staff also had to show us a lot using my time as well. The system may need an update due to my game adding a score of 16 that wasn't mines, yay I won that match, but another match it added a ball that made my lose 5 points that I didn't do. You have to get a topgolf card, it's required. It isn't to bad in price but it sort of threw me off as that's an additional charge. This place is ridiculously so much fun! My only complaint is the limited parking if it is a busy Fri/Sat night. The food is fairly expensive & just ok bar food. The drinks were $7 for wine or mixed drinks. My husband accidentally spilled a fresh drink and another was brought right away for no charge. The heaters in the golf bays can be turned on - the only problem is if the table next to you is wanting them & you aren't - you both either have it on or off. When my friend was describing this place, I had no idea what to expect. In fact, I don't think I had any expectations going into it. I like watching golf and besides mini golf, I'd never really hit the turf before. It stings a little bit reading the other reviews regarding wait times and what not, but honestly? We didn't wait long for our bay. We walked around the facility and by the time we were done, it was ready. I made the mistake of wearing wedges. WORST IDEA EVER. Luckily I had flats in the truck. The service was alright. Our sever was nice but there wasn't a notable guest experience to add. The food is definitely there and the menu is flexible for everyone. Chicken + waffle sliders were my favorite and the jalapeño gravy just fits to a T! The injectable donut holes are a cute dessert I didn't anticipate either. You get a syringe choices of chocolate, raspberry, or Bavarian cream. Perfect for sharing. What's also perfect for sharing? A FISHBOWL. Who doesn't love a solid fishbowl. Great time! Fun for large and small groups! We had a birthday party there and the host was amazing

This is my third visit since last year, I didn't review because they were still new and wanted to give them some time. My first time was 4 hours wait on a Saturday night and service was not good given that new staff weren't used to guests during the first few months of opening. Was very disappointed. Last Saturday, decide to give another chance thinking that this is another year, maybe things happen change for the better. My second time was just about the same as the first. Went in on a Saturday night, around 930pm. Was told by staff, we had a 2 hour wait. I thought to myself, okay that's not as bad the last time I went. Lucky for friends, we found a pool table and shuffleboard we could play while we wait. Then we finally got our Bay. It was about 11:30pm. They told us to just go there, no guidance. We went to our Bay. Waited for our server to asked us if we wanted water or order food, but 20 minutes later, still no server. So we went ahead and prepay our hours to play golf and hope that the server would come. We were getting thirsty from playing and we had to find a random staff to help us find our server. She said, sorry she could get us some water. Then our server actually came and then asked us for food order. We order the nachos and calamari. Before the food came out, I saw our check came out before our food did. I was highly disappointed. We haven't gotten our food yet, but we got the check and our water was now empty. No refills. Saw the server attend the next Bay attentively and asking them if they wanted anything and when we asked for our food, he said it's coming out. Almost 1 hour of golfing we finally gotten our food. So hungry and thirsty and almost full but dissatisfied with the service. All else is fun when you're playing golf, the pool table, shuffle board, giant Jenna. Top Golf is a pretty fun place to go and have some drinks and fun. However I have only ever been for work events, I have found the prices to be a little to high for something I would just up and do on a weekend. The food and drink are both really good but expect to pay a pretty penny for the service and selection. Overall I think this is a place everyone should try once but might not be something you would want to drop the money on for any old day out. One thing nice is you get to see how out of shape you are the day after, if you have not done any activity like golf in the past few weeks you will really feel it the day after! First time I've been to something like this. Overall had a good time. Pros: 1. I normally don't like any kind of golf, but this is pretty fun because it's not about being good at golf but rather just having fun with friends. 2. I think this is more similar to bowling as an activity for a group of friends, but easier and more fun. 3. Most of my bad shots still got me some points because the ball kept rolling and eventually went into one of the massive targets. It's possible to get zero points, but there is enough reward to keep you playing. Cons: 1. It's fairly pricey and adds up quick. I will say that it is fun, and therefore the time passes quickly (good thing), but I don't think I could do this frequently. 2. The food is very expensive. I really enjoyed myself at Topgolf. This was my first time using a club for anything besides mini-golf, so this was a brand new thing for me. My husband golfs occasionally, so he knew what he was doing. We went on a Tuesday morning right when they opened and had no troubles getting in (of course). We waited in a short line to get my husband a membership card and then checked in. We were taken to the top floor and were given the basic run-down of how to play. Our scores showed only as one player since we only bought one membership card (this didn't bother me too much). It was $20 to play for 1 hour which was a good deal in my opinion. I wouldn't want to face 4 hour wait times and pay $40 like I've been reading in other people's reviews... We didn't order food, so I can't account for that, but we often had our waters refilled without having to ask. There was fairly loud music and some kids and young adults who weren't too quiet. This didn't bother me, but I'm guessing it may bother some "serious golfers". I had a lot of fun swinging and playing for the hour that we were there. On our way out, we even played a game of foosball (this was a free table too, not one you had to pay for). I would definitely go back. Took one of my best friends to Top Golf. I ordered a tea, and my fiance' and friend ordered Yuenglings. The young waiter wearing Lucky hat dropped my tea into the beers. One literally had ice floating in the beer. He said all ok round of free beers since that happened. We laughed all good. We drank beers as noone came over with replacements for about 20 minutes and when a waitress asked if everything was ok, we mentioned about the beer and the waitress said she would have to talk to a manager. After the manager came over she acted like she could not make it right and said who was the person who spilled it. I said the young man in a lucky hat. She talked to him and he said 'Yes he did spill it but it was just one beer". She said Kansas can does not allow for free beer so there was nothing she could do. I was taken back. I have spent literally hundreds of dollars and taken people there many times and never had this kind of service. We planned to stay for a couple of hours, but after this it put a damper on the evening and we cut out early. I asked people for the manager afterwards and was told there are several. I described the lady as older etc, then they told me her name was probably Teresa or Theresa. I hope this will not happen again to anyone looking for a good time. Topgolf is a great entertainment venue and the Overland Park site is exceptional. It is a great place to learn how to golf but also good for those of different skill levels to play together. If you are working on improving your game, the technology gives you stats on every shot. We love to play the virtual courses. The staff on OP are great. Lessons from their on-site pro have really improved my game at Topgolf and on traditional courses. If you are hungry I recommend the farmhouse pizza with cauliflower crust. Yes, it's a little pricey, but it's super fun (even for me and I loathe golf) and their food is reasonably priced and reasonably tasty. I also like that their menu has calorie counts (even though some are a rude awakening!). Activity-wise, you really don't need more than an hour or two here, especially if your group isn't too big. We went on an extremely hot evening. I would not do this again for anything. They had fans going in attempts to help however. We did an inclusive package with food and beer. The first beer I picked up and opened was very warm and the ice was already warm and it shut me down the rest of the night to drink. The cherry cokes were great. The pulled pork was wonderful and I ate two. The bride loved the chicken strips, I wasn't a personal fan with the breading. Our personal waiter was nice and on top of things. Paying what we did, we were aggravated that we didn't get the food to take home. It was so hot we didn't eat what we assumed and the leftovers weren't allowed to be taken. I don't understand that by any means. If it's the cost of containers they could have said bring your own! Disclaimer: I am not a golfer, I actually loathe the sport (for personal reasons). However, I do like Topgolf. We came here for a work outing. We checked in, the front desk guy said he could get us in right away, then the concierge said it would be 30 minutes which turned into 60 minutes. We waited in the restaurant and dined on fine apps. They best app was the donut holes that came with syringes where we can inject jelly into the holes. When we finally got our bay, our attendant was super helpful and we immediately forgot about the 1 hour wait time. We had a blast. P.S. We love top golf and we always enjoy our time here. Some people complain about the wait, but you can come in early (about 2 hours on the weekend) and get your name on the wait list. Top Golf will then text you when your bay is open! You don't have to be present either when you get your text. We left and went to the Mall to kill some time. Once you get your text from top golf you have 15 mins to claim your bay before they give it to someone else. So stay close in the area to be ready for that! The food is typical bar food but it's really good and presented well. I enjoyed seeing the employees having fun and interacting with guests too. It's very relaxed and just a fun atmosphere, especially at night! There was a DJ on the top deck that played awesome music and had give away competitions. I went home with a $25 gift card to ticket master. Royals game anyone?! We paid $40 an hour for our group of 3. The groups can be as big as 6 and the price is still $40 an hour during night. We have so much fun that we stayed for almost 3 hours and didn't regret the money spent! read more

WOW!! What an experience!! Came here with co workers for a work excursion out of state. Everything started out great. Food was OK. Drinks the same. Either way we were a good group of golfers and thats what we wanted to enjoy. After our 3rd hour here at TOP GOLF. A random security guard grabbed one of our beers and drank it out of nowhere. Then followed up to pull a knife to the teenagers at the tee/table next to us for no reason. We had a heavy group of guys so we jumped over to help the whole situation. The guard claimed to be caring a gun as well. We got the guard away from them as at some point. We were very confused and unsafe with the whole situation. Nothing was explained to us of what was going on, and the whole experience ruined our night. Next there was a ton of Police officers coming in and grabbing so many questions and report that destroyed our vibe and took up all the time from what you get charger at TOP GOLF. Not to mention this security was hired by TOP GOLF. End of day TOP GOLF offered to take $20 off our bill with zero apology and very rude after the fact! After we complained about our situation they walked us out and diverted the situation to us after we paid a $500 bill!! Multiple police cars and kicked to the curb!! While I was waiting for my bay, I decided to have a beer at the bar. A sign on the front of the bar said something to the effect of "this side of the bar closed for seating, go to other side. So I sat down and was ignored by the bar back (one headphone in) and the bartender. I was the only person at the bar. After several minutes being patient, I reached over to another sign I noticed just to my right that was facing away from me. It was the same sign. So then I felt compelled to ask: "Excuse me, can I order a beer here, or do I have to be at a table or something?" She replied that I could order a beer there, but I would have to cash out or transfer it to my bay. I had to resist not being a bit snarky. "You mean, like, pay for it?" Was the comment I swallowed. So I got a beer just as my bay became ready. Perfect. Ish. The server at my bay checked in, asked me how I was doing, and then proceeded to not return until it was time to ask the ever-irritating "do you want to extend your time" question. 45 minutes later. Really cool experience. 3 levels of fun to experience while waiting to partake in the driving range like no other. Includes open air seating with full srrvice throughout. Full menu and bar options. Food was reasonably priced with limited healthier choices but includes fun options like chicken and waffles and fried Mac and cheese rolls . Everything on the menu looked good, just not necessarily good for you. We could only visit for a couple hours before getting back on the road but spending a day or evening at Top Golf is totally within reason. We'll be looking forward to the new location in Chesterfield, Mo. I expect the hubby and son will become members frequent often. read more

So disappointed in Top Golf this time around. Came here a year ago and it was amazing, clean and great service. One year later and it already seemed so run down. It was really dirty inside and looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. We only ordered beverages after waiting for our dock for over an hour and then we had to split our group up to play or wait longer to try to get spaces by one another. It is a fun experience for golf but the lack of cleanliness really ruined it for us. Not sure when we'll go back again due to that. read more

I will likely never go back to Top Golf after the way I was personally treated by the concierge during our visit last week. Somethings you should never say to another person and if you don't know that, then you should not be assisting customers at the front of the house. I'd give zero stars based on that part of my experience but in fairness I will give the rest of my review. When TG opened it was a fun way to spend a few hours. The staff was fun. Darcy always greeted us and made sure everyone took care of us. Prices were reasonable, especially on off peak hours during the week. The last few times, the prices have been much higher and a couple of hours out costs so much it's just not hardly worth it. Our tab was $220 for four burgers, a bucket of beers, one soda and two cans of wine. The game play was only $90 of that. Pretty extreme for a couple of hours out on a Thursday evening. The quality of food also seems to have declined over the years. It's average bar food at best. Certainly not the quality doesn't match the cost. One final point. The scoring was really off last week. Balls were hitting the targets and not scoring on the computer. Sometimes scores would register later during someone else's turn. That never seemed to be an issue I remember when we've been to TG before. read more

Recently had our work Christmas party here and it was such a fantastic time. The food, including the portabella, pork, and chicken sliders were all good. I loved the coleslaw that was available as a toping. The chicken nuggets were also quite tasty! Dessert consisted of donut holes with raspberry and chocolate sauce that came in a syringe. Staff was attentive to our needs and they were quick to bring out new drinks and remove used plates. Loved being able to play unlimited golf games for several hours. We had our own little area, three bays to be exact, where no one could bother us. I also liked that they decorated the place. Good times. A group of coworkers and I came here for a team building event. One of the managers on our team tried calling in advance to book some bays, but after finding out that we had to pay extra to reserve them, we decided against using part of our budget on that. We arrived around 1pm on a weekday, and found that another group had just taken up most of the bays, so we ended up having to wait a while for their manager to find somewhere to put us. There was a bar and some tables to wait at, and grab a bite/drink while we waited. However, we waited for so long that we almost ended up leaving and using the budget on food and drinks elsewhere instead of golfing. As we were getting antsy waiting, an employee finally let us know that they had two bays for us to use, and we made our way downstairs to them. We were finally able to start golfing, and ordered some pizza and chips to munch on while we played. The pizza was nothing special, but my teammates seemed to like it because they devoured the two that we ordered. The chips came with cheese and guac, and also went pretty quickly. After about an hour of golfing, our time on the bays were up, and it was time to head out. Overall, the time spent with my coworkers was great, but I would definitely not return again on my own. read more

Very fun. My daughter hasn't shown much interest in golf but even she liked it. I felt bad because we had our 2yo with us as we are from Wichita and he got upset (He has sensory disorder and is non verbal) I felt bad they had all the open bays but put us next to 2 old me then later a group of "bros".. I don't think the bros were too annoyed. But I know the old men were. I hope we didn't ruin their time. I thought we would get yelled at when my son was crying but they were all patient (workers) A waitress tried to offer him a toy but he doesn't like strangers so he got worked up she understood tho.
