Keep in mind that we can't give half of a star, and I was with a fairly large group. The group size is DEFINITELY a factor in some of the criticism. So, your experience will likely be different with less than 40 people. (LOL!) And, because I was with a group that had catered a lunch, the menu selection was much more limited than it actually is. The menu items that we had selected had clearly been sitting for a bit by the time that we got to them. Understandable. You don't cook for that many people at the last minute. However, some things were just over cooked. And, that is totally avoidable. That said, I feel that if the timing had been executed a little better those issues would be resolved. They were also a little slow getting things out. But, again, groups this size are unwieldy. The staff did a great job of explaining the game and the rules. They were available to help if anything went wrong. You really don't have to have much skill to have a great game. And, the facility is sheltered so that you can play regardless of the weather. I know that the folks in my group had a great time. Again, if I had partial stars, this would be like a 3.75. I feel like there were some built in whammies for the staff that should be considered in my review. I totally want to try it again, with a smaller group to see how the experience is different. This is great for about 6-8 people because you're just active enough to not pull out your phone and scroll, and there's enough down time for you to talk to each other and catch up on stuff. read more

Came here with my family, 5 of us altogether, after dinner for my dad's birthday. Prices were great at $45/hr for a bay (on a Sunday night around 10) which can include up to 6 players. Expect to pay an additional $5/person for a membership card, however, this is just a one time fee for a lifetime membership. Facility is architecturally beautiful and stimulating with all the different target lights. Great technology system. Relaxing seating area that promotes great socialization. They also serve food and drinks here! We had just came from dinner so we weren't too hungry, therefore, we just ordered chips and guacamole/salsa to snack on - great snack to share, and it was only $7. My dad ordered a cold bud light for only $5, pretty decent. We had a great time as a family. Great place for family and friends to gather and hangout! So why 4 stars: service was okay. Came back a 2nd time with a group of 11, 2 bays. I tried the char grilled steak flatbread and signature nachos. The nachos are wayyyy tastier than they appear! Hosted an event here. Very disappointed on the lack of assistance from the staff. None of the scoring worked. We needed to reset the games multiple times over a 2 hour period. The server was nice and attentive, however the rest of the staff was too busy talking to each other and hanging out. They charge a pretty hefty price for mediocre service. Staff: Very friendly group of people. They are always helpful, except for when they forget to mention to you that its happy hour and you could have been ordering cheap drinks(quite upsetting). Kansas City LOVES their TopGolf! I'm so glad they now offer limited online reservations on the bays. The wait for a bay can be quite ridiculous. The text reservation system is nice and convenient if you decide to wait outside the complex. Plenty of things to do while you wait. Games, food, bar, rooftop patio, DJ (from what I was told) and much more. It's basically IMPOSSIBLE to get any service in their restaurant areas. Prepare yourself to wait 20 minutes for someone to notice you and pour you a pint. Every time!!! We come here all the time because we love the idea of swinging some clubs with friends. Golf was good overall but the experience from the workers was not adiquate. The worker was nice but did not tell us any useful information. First he did not tell us before hand that we still had to pay the rest of the reservation. Then to add to that he had some words for us when we decided to order more food. What I found when we arrived was a huge, tricked-out driving range with a fun attached mini-game. It's kind of like golf meets bowling. Launch your microchip-enabled golf ball towards one of the many targets out in the range, and score points based on how close you get to the target and how far away the target is. It was actually a lot of fun and made for an enjoyable competition - even if it isn't 100% representative of all the skills you'd use in actual golf. When it's not your turn, hang back behind the tee and enjoy some food. We tried the backyard wings (good); the spinach, feta, and chicken salad (good); the mushi (so-so); the chicken and waffles (good); and one of the flatbreads (so-so). On the whole, the eats weren't bad, but you shouldn't come here for them - the golfing experience is obviously the primary draw. So if you have some golfing family members or friends and want a fun night out, check out Topgolf for a memorable experience. read more

This is kind of the best of both worlds: Golf + Happy Hour. Topgolf is kind of a glorified driving range, but instead of minding your own business and focusing on your swing you're encouraged to socialize, eat, drink and have be merry, all while listening to a piped in soundtrack full of your favorite pop music tunes. Count me in. It's a little different than the normal after work or evening spots, but it's a lot of fun. A couple of small things... If you don't sign up and reserve a bay then it might take a while for one to open up. There's a bar inside so your wait won't be too bad. This was my first experience at a Topgolf, my husband has been multiple times. We played for 2 hours from about 3:45-5:45pm on a Thursday. Surprising enough, the place was quite busy but we did not have to wait at all! We ordered the Mushi (HOLY CRAP!!) and some BBQ Sliders. The sliders were just fine (nothing to brag about) but the Mushi was freaking delicious and one of a kind!!! I am not kidding I will go back just for that! I am not an avid golfer, but I had a ton of fun playing with just my husband. I would recommend you dress comfortable. It was about 95 degrees out when we played and I left pretty sweaty! Haha. No one could help us. Our waitress attempted to make it better with, "Sorry, maybe you can use the $80 next time because it's probably still on your account somewhere." Huh? Good grief. Part 1. NOT A GOLFER So here for a work outing. It was cold and raining and though we were one of the few groups there and it was the middle of the day it took near bribery to get someone to turn on the heater over us. And they were strongly keeping our group together vs letting half of us not golfing to sit inside while the other half golfed. Part 2. The food... while good... drastically overpriced for what it is. I suggest anyone planning on heading here stop for food first and just drink and play here. Part 3. The waiter... This guy was fun and bouncy and happy to take our order and get everything put in as we had ordered it on the individual tickets! He brought our drinks quickly and made sure we were good. Then... he went home. No drinks for a long time. Food was slow on its delivery and everything was lukewarm. If you wanted to order anything else... well the people around were just delivery guys. Finally, we got someone new... who didn't want to be there that day. So we wrapped up the game and got our checks. Which were a random collection of drinks and food on random pieces of paper. After fighting it for a while we just added everything and divided it ourselves. Summary - This may be your thing. Just set your expectations for what you require from the place. I sit down and wait.. 2 employees walk away, no acknowledgement from them. few mins later bartender finally walks over and I order my drink, not seeing the menu hiding behind the condiment holder, he hands me one and leaves. brings back my water, and leaves again. the menu isnt large enough to need more than 2 mims to decide what you want to eat.. 10 mins goes by and a waitress from outside is standing at the bar, talkimg to the bartender as he rubs his head, looks like he is trying to figure out what to do. I have been to this Topgolf location a couple of times, and it has always been such a memorable and fun time! For those that are new to the idea of Topgolf; it's a golf driving range with a variety of targets that utilize a tracking software to easily keep score. You can either use the targets for solo practice to enhance your own golf swing, or get a group together to have some friendly competition. In addition to the main attraction of the driving range, this Topgolf location has two bars, a couple of pool tables, several areas to eat bar food and some rooms that are available for reservation for events. I'd say if you have friends visiting from out of town, have a cute date night or need a fun location to celebrate something, Topgolf is a wonderful option for all sorts of peeps. My biggest recommendation is that you MAKE A RESERVATION in advance if you are planning to visit over the weekend. The driving range "bays" get filled up fairly quickly. There is always the walk-in option, however, on a weekend you could end up waiting a couple of hours. Mind you, the wait is not terrible since they have the pool tables and bar, but...I hate waiting haha! There is plenty to eat, bar food that is. Wings, cheese platters etc... Maybe not the best place for a full meal, but great to snacking on while you're playing or waiting for your bay! Bottom Line: Always a fun date night/group activity! read more

The soap at this entertainment complex was foamy, something that I appreciate and take into account with my soap reviews. There is enough in one pump of the soap dispenser to was your hands. Had family in town last minute so decided to spring for the VIP reservation experience. Second time at Top Golf, first time at this location. The experience did not disappoint. Check in: Smooth check in process. Because we had a VIP reservation they led us right to our booth. I overheard that the walk in wait was 60-90 minutes at that time (this was a Sunday afternoon) Booth: Booking a VIP booth provided us a red floor mat and red ropes like a club. In my opinion a bit over the top but if you are into that, you will enjoy the flair. Play: Like a regular top golf experience. It was very fun and makes the game approachable for those who haven't or don't play it. Food: Part of VIP you are given 5-6 waters and a giant pretzel. I initially didn't have high expectations but the pretzel was quality, as was the fruit, meats, cheese, and sauces that came with it. Price: At around $150 the experince was definitely worth the price if it is a busy time and you have a decently big group (5-6). The staff took the time to help but, in 90deg e Weather you don't want to figure out why the score is not accurate or how many balls a person can or has hit. The computer they use to keep score is unreliable, and not always correct. Maybe, If it was set up like a bowling alley where it would track each player, the score, and who's turn ect. would be more efficient, and less frustrating for the player's. read more

My friends came in from out of town and we went out to Topgolf. We all had a great time! The driving range is set up where you get an unlimited number of balls and pay per hour for the bays. Each bay can hold up to 6 people. The hourly pricing per bay varies based on the day and time of day. We wanted to make an appointment to reserve a bay in advance but you had to pay $10 for a reservation. That seemed a little ridiculous given that the $10 doesn't go towards your total cost of playing but just an additional fee. We went on Sunday and the mimosas are $4/glass which isn't bad. I had a spicy Bloody Mary which was very good. I'll definitely be back to play again with some friends. Check it out if you are in the area. read more

We love coming here since we don't have one in Iowa! Service today was phenomenal, we were there for a couple hours and had 3 different people pretty much doting on us the whole time! Wow!! Beth was the manager and was always checking on us and since it was my birthday my husband told them and they forgot to bring me a treat but as we were leaving Beth brought me the prettiest ice cream/dessert thing! So super sweet! Food was out super fast and so were drinks! The only issue we had was the games that involved virtual courses never worked so we wasted quite a bit of time on that (it never registers when you hit the ball) but those maybe were newer games? Our company sales team came here for a team building, after work event. That is exactly what it turned out to be. Very much of a fun, interactive---- and also "active" participation event. Some people are competitive and take it seriously, while others just want to have some time to connect with their friends/peers, eat, drink and celebrate. We were assigned 2 servers who were excellent. I sometimes wonder how they get all the orders correct since there were at least 20 of us moving around constantly. We all tried to order the Impossible Burger which was on the menu, but were told that Burger King took all of the inventory and all they had were standard black bean burgers. No thanks. I had a Farmstead Flatbread which was too much for 1 person. Lots of fresh veggies and cheese on a very crisp, thin crust. As far as golf is concerned--- it's more like Bowling met the Driving Range. For some of our guys, it was a longest drive competition. Drinks were flowing nicely. Time seems to fly when you're having fun. They also had Heineken 0.0 was their non alcoholic beer. Our server was exceptionally helpful with a lot of the first time players. Some needed help getting set up. He did a great job explaining everything and answering any questions that people had. Had my first experience at Top Golf on Saturday night. I had a lot of fun but I'm giving it a 3.5 stars. The system is expensive. We were there with two people at the most expensive time bracket. There was no wait for a bay. My gf has played a lot in the past. The employee helped me create an account. I wished he didn't get to start the clock though. By the time everything was explained by my gf after that in terms of how to play and by the time the server took our order, 25 minutes already passed. For someone who has never golfed ever or been to a driving range, it took a game to get comfortable swinging a club. Then I was just hitting as much as I could as fast as I could for value. We were trading about every 5 balls. Eating time seemed like a waste. I don't think I would try to eat and play again. Definitely felt like there should be a gallon of hand sanitizer on the table as well as a way to keep the clubs from getting greasy. Greasy clubs probably wasn't a factor, but two different bays next to us had accidentally threw clubs while we were there. One girl threw a club up/backwards in the bay and luckily no one got hit. Another girl threw a club into the green. So be careful of flying clubs. The food itself was decent. Got the smokehouse burger medium rare. It surprisingly actually came medium rare. My gf got a quesadilla which she liked. Drinks came pretty fast too. Tried the topgolf tea. Was fine. I would say my cocktail size was on the slightly smaller size. After we finished our food, my gf didn't wanna wait for the server so she went to the bar to order two rumchata shots to bring back to the bay. They were not served in shot glasses but they did not look like a full shot. After drinking them, we were even more sure they were less than what they should be. Sad cause they were expensive. My family and I usually love going here for almost any event and have a great time. Unfortunately this time we didn't have a good experience. We had two bays next to one another and both didn't work half of the time. The maintenance team kept having to come over and try to fix it and then when it was "fixed" they would just walk away before even looking to make sure it was completely ready to be used again. It happened three times within the one hour of us being there. I would recommend being placed on the first floor. The third floor didn't seem to be working. read more
