But the ambience is very festive and the service was very friendly. An hour or two makes for a fun day with the family. The price on Sunday was $30 per hour, with a $5 lifetime registration fee for each new player. We spent two hours on a hot August day on the third floor, under the protection of a roof with a fan. We were warm, but not uncomfortable. Table service is offered, which you can decline. We had just eaten out so we only needed water, which they dutifully refilled to keep us cool. They have junior, right-handed and left-handed clubs available (you just have to ask if you don't see them). The large screen replay of your swings keeps everyone entertained when it's not their turn. The only gripe, as small and petty as it is, is that left handed players don't have their own monitor, so they have to constantly turn back to see their shot when they release their ball from the dispenser. The place is clean, including the bathrooms. When you're done playing golf, you can enjoy lawn games or foosball. We decided to visit Topgolf in Pompano Beach, FL this evening. While we had a nice time overall, the experience was ultimately disappointing for several reasons. The biggest issue was the unnecessary pressure from both the service staff and management. We were repeatedly interrupted--either to ask if we wanted to order food and drinks or pressure us to extend our time--which disrupted the experience. Before heading to our bay, we stopped at the indoor bar for one drink. Although we cashed out, we had to wait for a manager to come over and swipe a manager card for the bartender, which caused an initial delay. Once we arrived at our bay, selected our clubs, and were ready to start playing, we were delayed yet again--twice--by staff asking if we wanted drinks and informing us that we were required to open a tab. I asked if I could simply tap my phone to pay, but was told that wasn't an option. Instead, I had to follow the server to the POS system so she could manually enter my card information. In 2026, it's surprising that mobile tap-to-pay isn't available at Topgolf. This process took me away from the game for at least five minutes, especially since a manager once again had to come over to swipe a manager card. All this took place while our reserved time was ticking. By the time I returned to the bay, we were finally able to start playing--with only 31 minutes remaining of the 60 minutes we had originally paid for. We really just wanted to play golf and not eat and drink so we felt it was inappropriate to continuously be pressured to order food and drinks. With this, we were obligated to extend our time by 30 minutes to make up the difference of the wasted time. Overall, we had a nice time but it was extremely disappointing to be continuously interrupted for the money and time we spent. read more

The best way to describe Topgolf is this: kind of fun, constantly sabotaged by extractive business gimmicks. From the moment I walked in, I felt nickel and dimed, starting with the mysterious five dollar "new user fee." (For what? Typing my name into a computer?) The games did not stop there. No prices on the drink menu, servers who either did not know or would not say what drinks cost, and nonstop fifteen minute warnings that my session was expiring, followed by mysteriously higher prices for the same thirty minute extension. The bays were not even full, so it was not supply and demand pricing. But give it time, I would not be shocked if they tack that on too. And of course, the TVs in the bay run ads. Nothing like paying for the privilege of being advertised to. The word for Topgolf is "extractive." I do not mind spending money, but when the entire setup feels engineered by an MBA PowerPoint deck to maximize customer yield instead of customer experience, it is hard to enjoy. Some people know when they are being gamed, and we do not like it. At least in a casino, I know what I signed up for. As for the actual experience: the house margarita was gross, the golf games are fine but a little clunky and padded to keep your eyes glued to the screen between swings, and I did not even risk ordering food after hearing how bad it was. Final score: one star for the business model, one star for the fleeting fun of smacking a ball when I managed to forget I was being squeezed. read more

I've been to a few Top Golf locations but I have to say this one is my favorite! My coworkers and I have came here a couple times on a weekday and they have a deal where it's only $64 for 2 hours which split between the 6 of us was a STEAL! The clubs were clean and it's a newer location so everything felt clean and new. We got a variety of food items - veggie flatbread, wings, nachos, etc. and everything was better than we expected. Really love that they opened a beautiful new Top Golf in pompano. The team here is good but tonight our bay was having so many issues, I appreciate the managers stepping in and trying to fix it as well as giving us more time. I've been marinating on this review since my company event in April. When booking if you have a large group they push the buffet option, but in the contract it states you cannot take any leftovers. My lack of stars are due to the pain of watching the amount of food that was wasted. It's honestly super sad to see us being forced into a menu we didn't want then in turn watch them toss it all at the end of the night. The waitresses both times were incredibly courteous and very attentive. It's the red shirts that make or break the evening. Tonight for example we had a male manager (red shirt) he knew our bay was having issues and immediately came to fix it and offer more time for the inconvenience. Versus the night of the event, the female red shirt manager made it almost uncomfortable to be there. Imagine a 4 bay reservation and every time we needed something that involved her you could see on her face, that it was an inconvenience. I would recommend this place for a smaller group, one bay reservation accommodates 6 people and you can order anything off the menu during your two hour stay. For larger groups I feel it may be hit or miss depending on the manager that night. I think for future events I'll do walk ins and try to book multiple bays vs pre book and be obligated to order a buffet people may or may not touch. read more

I'm a golfer who loves getting an opportunity to swing a club anytime. Some purist may think top golf gimmicky or not true to the game, but it's basically driving range married to an arcade living at a bar. For me, I think it's the bowling alley for modern times. I was visiting my kid in Florida and I played a round of golf, but that takes coordination of schedules, $$$, and desire to spend 5 hrs of your day out there. Top golf allows those with various levels of interest to meld with golf being the common factor. First you check in to get a station. We choose the upper level cuz is seemed more bougie. Second, folks enter their name into a screen like a bowling alley, then there are multiple games to play (the arcade part). We selected angry birds and had a blast rotating through players. Skillset was beginner to me having played many years. Third, drinks were ordered. I'm sober, so was pleased to find a NA menu with more than a soda. Rest of the crew had an assortment of adult beverages. We don't try the food, cuz we were too busy with our golf balls. The station rental is done per hour and we added 30 mins since we were having a blast. I'm excited to try one closer to home and I'd highly recommend visiting. read more

This is a great addition to Pompano Beach!! And to Harrahs... and to District 5 and Broward County. Got to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony this morning. Lots of VIPs in attendance plus the fire and police departments. Met up with some former colleagues in the tourism industry as well -- among others Pia from the Mai Kai and Sharon from Travelhost Magazine. They offered a bit of breakfast -- muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc., but the main amenity was the golf! We got to watch quite a few folks teeing up and trying out their swings. Such fun. Think this would be a great venue for a Yelp event or association meeting or fundraiser -- they have several floors. And are looking to host private groups and events. Corali was our server and she was great. I loved how she was attentive and friendly. We went on a Tuesday for a birthday and it was really fun. The chicken sliders and steak tacos were delicious. New locations will have new location issues, it's new staff mixed with veteran staff from other locations to open up the new venue, it's some menu items that are not ready yet but some menu items that are ready. It's brand new gorgeous equipment that is working better than the other locations. I usually go to the Miami Gardens TG cuz it's close to where I live but this Pompano Beach TG works better for our friends. Had a great/lucky time as a walk-in. This was my first time at this top golf. Seeing it was brand new, and the closest one yet to me I couldn't wait to give it a try. This was the newest topgolf I ever went to and it included upgrades in various ways. Each bay had a ton of fans so it felt a lot less hot than prior venues. Also, the ball dispenser reacted much quicker and giving a ball. It also had a screen on top of it that showed right what happened on your last drive. I found that feature really cool as usually you had to go watch it back at the bay to see how you did. It also reacted so much quicker in giving a score and showing its trajectory. I hope they upgrade all top golf's to this standard. I was very impressed. Inside they also had a great bar on all three floors. I loved the big screens that were visible from both the first and second floors. We ordered two pitchers of blue moon and yeungling while playing. We also ordered the Queso, salsa and chips which really hit the spot while we played at our bay for two hours. I cannot recommend this TopGolf location enough. I do not play golf, but I find Topgolf super fun and a great group activity or date night. For anyone who's never been I always explain it by saying "it's bowling for golf". You get to hang out in your "lane", order drinks and food, and then 1 person at a time gets to swing. You get to choose what kind of game you want to play, for example - if you get your ball in certain holes it gets you more points than others, versus some more fun ones where there's less "competition". It was $50 for the hour I think, and you can always start shorter and extend if you want to keep playing. I think day time, and maybe weekdays are also cheaper than night times etc. read more

Good times hitting balls! I went to the new Topgolf with a group from work at the old Pompano Park. Horse racing is gone finally. The casino is still there with a new parking garage and the Topgolf across the street. They arranged for us to have a couple bays next to each other and linked the score leaderboards. Michelle was our server and she was very helpful navigating the menu and working with us for the office bar tab. As far as gluten free, they have gluten "friendly", so as a word to the celiacs, there's a few items on the menu that are breaded and they don't separate it into another fryer (hence possible cross contamination). I ate some raw veggies & dip, and an order of fries. Up to 6 people per bay can hit per game, and those who showed up later played in the next game. That "game" is just hitting balls, but there's other games too. We got into a few angry birds themed games too, which are probably aimed toward the younger audience but fun anyway! Music was great and the bathroom was clean (with seat covers in the ladies room). If you don't have reservations, you can save some $ (reservation fee doesn't get refunded), but you may have to wait a bit before a bay opens. So if you are just going with some friends, you can walk in and if you do have to wait, they have a bar! Parking for Top golf is a new surface lot behind the building. When I was leaving I noticed they had valet, but there was really plenty of parking! And the word to the wise, don't park near the net that protects the cars from the balls. When I was leaving, a ball got through the net and rolled across the sidewalk in front of me and hit a car bumper. No actual damage but I wouldn't take any chances! read more

At long last Broward has its own Top Golf and this location is absolutely gorgeous in comparison to the others I have been to. Large displays in each bay infront of where you hit the ball and the usual side of the bay. Huge screens on the inside, bars on multiple levels. The features here do not disappoint period. Be sure to check the daily specials as there are tons of savings during the week. I personally like going with a smaller group as you get more bang for your buck time wise. The food and drinks were excellent. The Old Fashion was a nice touch as it was a little sweet with the cookie butter flavor and not just all liquor tasting as the usual. The sand trap is a sure win with a peanut butter highlighted taste to it. Food wise you cannot go wrong with the Nacho Average Nachos with steak. Loaded with flavor and a good Tapas size. I didn't want to share it because of how good it was. The Asian sesame wings option is a great addition as well as you can choose up to about 5 different flavors of wings. The only thing is service at the bay took a little long when it came to bringing drinks and food. Just the attentiveness could be a lot better. When they were there it was great but the length of time, can definitely be improved on since it was a slower night surprisingly on a Tuesday. read more

So having been to the Orlando location many times, was excited that one opened close to home in Pompano. There were 7 of us, 6 players, on a Friday night with a reservation. While we waited for our bay to be ready we went to the bar on the first floor to grab some beers. Bartender was overwhelmed with walk ups and table service tickets. Poor guy needed more help. Once our bay was ready we went up, server introduced herself, explained the rules and took our drink orders. Those drinks came 25 minutes later. She then only took food orders for three of us and walked away. About 15 minutes later we found her and asked for more drinks and to please take the rest of the groups order. That second round of drinks took 40 minutes. While we were waiting for those to arrive, one in our group walked out to the second floor bar. It was packed with people looking for drinks because nobody was getting drinks delivered to tne bays. He was only working on service tickets and not taking any orders from people,standing at the bar. Again, completely understaffed. The first three people's food artived 60 minutes after ordering. Pizzas were similar to what you would find in the freezer at Publix, nachos right out of the bag, wings had a dollup of sauce on them. Eventually the rest of the food came alog with the seond round of drinks. We were now almost done with our two hours and only managed to have two drinks the entire time. There is an incredible amount of money being lost here. Being that they just opened, I get there could be hiccups, but it doesn't take long to grab a can of beer. I'm not an avid golfer so I thought I would feel shy about totally sucking at the sport. NOPE!! I mean, yes, I suck lol, but I had a lot of fun!! I had a few drinks and got a lot of practice. The computer tracks the ball from the tee all the way until the ball stops counting up points along the way. I was up top on a bright beautiful day smacking the crap out of a driver and now I feel like a PRO !! A super friendly girl named Rally sold me a Platinum membership so I will be heading over as much as possible !! The food is surprisingly well made, not your average bar food. This place could NOT be worse. Ordered a tropichop bowl at 9pm. When I drove by at 9:25pm they told me it wasn't ready. Went inside where there were like 10 customers all complaining. The guy at the counter gave me my order and I drove away. When I opened the food it was disgusting. I had ordered the bowl with crispy chicken. They had gotten a bowl with grilled chicken that perhaps someone had returned- it was cold - and had thrown on top a few pieces of completely undercooked crispy chicken someone warmed up in the microwave. Kudos to Top Golf Pompano Beach on having all their ducks in a row and being on top of their game so close to opening. We brought a large and chaotic group to check out this new spot over the 4th of July Weekend - 7 kids and 7 adults! We had a lot of issues logging in - I was able to add my kids, but my sister-in-law couldn't locate her kiddos who had been to another location before in the system. This coupled with it taking a little longer to get Junior Clubs knocked some time off the kid's bay (although they likely didn't need all that time, their attention spans only last so long). This frustrated some of the adults, but for the most part, we were all on par for a good time. Maria was the most patient server and managed our chaos with ease -- people shouting orders, changing items, adding more of the same...it had to be A LOT! Kathleen was also awesome, bringing around ice cream samples which calmed the wild beasts we brought with us! They were so excited with this special treat! All of our food and drinks were really good - love the Cauliflower Pizza! There was something for everyone on the menu and it's definitely delicious bar food. read more

The golf was great as always, but this review will be food-focused. Our waiter quickly came to take our order, deliver our food, and left without saying more than "what can I get you?" And "here you go." Since it was just me and my friends there to golf, we weren't expecting to get food, but it smelled amazing so we decided to order some appetizers. They tasted great and we were very happy with how they tasted. I also don't blame the waiter for not sticking around for long, but a bit more conversation would be nice considering the level of quality the rest of the establishment upholds.
