I got an appointment for a quote on June 18th with Paul. I let him know I already had another quote but never disclose the previous numbers. He offered us something amazing, an amazing equipment (all mini splits controlled by wifi and the app), air scrubbers and all the gadgets. He promised us the technicians will only take one day for the entire installation and that they will be here next day between 7A-9AM. Technicians arrived on Friday at NOON and leave my house at 6pm without finishing the job. They left pretty much all the equipment outside my house to carry less the next day cause it would be a two day installation (first issue). They sent 3 technicians for all the job. They told me as soon as they arrived on Friday it was a multiple days installation and I told them what Paul said about a one day installation and that I have a trip on Sunday morning so that they have to finish by Saturday. They asked us to leave a lot of equipment at home so they don't carrying again next day. They told me they would arrive on Saturday between 8AM-9AM and they arrived at 10:18AM and leave the inside of my house around 10:40PM and the surroundings around 12:20AM cleaning everything. When they finish and show how to use the equipment, take a guess... the units where not WiFi and app monitored as Paul promised they would be. The installation and the times for it where just for 1 day as Paul promised and the team was not happy of course because of the promises Paul made on behalf of them. On top of that, I messed up with the income I put on the application so I got approved for less than what we need and the only option offered was "you can add the warranties whenever you want and the air scrubbers as well". I contacted Paul later on Friday to validate if we can fix my income and recheck if I got approved for the total amount and he said that was not possible. The option was either using a credit card for the other portion or canceling the loan and reapply. I have a lot of cards and loans and have more properties and this is the first time no options where given at the moment to sell me everything I need it honestly. But the cherry on top here is the lying about the "this is a one day quick installatio"l and also "all the units are controlled by WiFi and an app" and only 1 of the 9 units can do that. I need someone to read this and provide me with some options because I'm definitely disappointed with the sale that Paul make because it was based on lies and the installation time was clearly not right. The installation crew was AMAZING but of course the sales person quoted time that was not real and promised a WiFi equipment that is not what he sold us. The weird thing is that he called the manager while he was making the sale and didn't told him anything about the WiFi equipment, the time he quoted or that we got preapproved for less of what we need it. I know they're transmitters or something we can put on the units to monitor them through wifi but he told us EVERY UNIT was going to be monitored through wifi and app and is not true. read more

I wasted thousands of dollars on this company! I got my ac installed 2 years ago and have been having issues since the 2nd day I've had it. They keep sending technicians out but the issue persists! Each tech is giving different advice and none of it is working. We change our filter as often as it should be and we've tried all of their other methods, but the unit keeps failing to cool the house, until someone comes out. It cools for a few months (maybe) and then someone has to come out again. Idk if they're just restarting the system or what. It shouldn't have to keep being restarted or whatever they're doing each time they come out. I think there is a leak because they didn't install it properly. read more

In one project, they managed to: - Wire an entire AC system incorrectly - Install mini-splits without proper drainage - Damage our roof through careless drilling - Create water damage that's still costing us money The two-week wait times for service calls only made each crisis more stressful. Unethical!!!!!! Tried to sell me a mini split with install for $12,000+ more than the most expensive model and highest labor costs. I knew it wasn't a labor intensive job and on top of it the salesman insisted that they'd have the job done in a day because there was no need to update anything, it was a straight line to add the units etc. In short he insisted it was an easy job, therefore would be finished likely in less than a day. So..... Why are they charging enough money to cover one and a half to two houses that have difficult wiring and difficult labor for a small house with minimal labor? They wanted over $30,000! For something that others charge between $15,000 and $18,000. Their sales tactic is to make a big deal about approval for $XX,XXX.xx loan then only talk about monthly costs, when asked for a quote try to change the conversation. They are like the used car salesman, they push the conversion to a monthly figure... The monthly amount likely won't be too bad, pay an affordable payment but over a very, very long time. They literally tried to charge $32,000+ for something multiple others quoted between $15,000 and $20,000. The interest rates with their financing department were horrific. They offered an insulting 13% to my credit union's 7%. Their monthly payment for 15 years was about the same as my credit unions loan over only 5 years. Their $30,000 at 13% at 15 years was about $380. My CU with a similar mini split and install from another HVAC was $365. Not much different costs, right? The $365 for only 5 years!!!!! They get you to focus on the monthly amount not the whole picture. Watch out!!!! Don't fall for their very nice and patient sales people. This company installed a new heater in Fall 2025. Within two months, it wasn't working. Service man told me directly that the install had been done improperly. While it worked for about two months, it is doing the same thing again. Turning on and off without raising or holding the temperature. We are now facing a major winter storm with the heat not working. This shouldn't be happening! They even changed the timetable of our warranty from the initial estimate. We received an outdoor unit smaller than we were quoted for, and an indoor head smaller than we were quoted for. And an on demand tankless boiler. Told it could all be done in a day by the salesman (Ben Yates) not true, the installers said its a 4 day job. Started on a Friday and left with no hot water for several days while terminally ill and my husband just had surgery. If the installers weren't as amazing as they were, I would have thrown them out and demanded my money back. Not their fault their company is shady. Justin,Edwin and Jose were the nicest people I've ever met. They themselves did a great job, were so clean and they stayed late the next Monday to get us hot water!! They cared more than the company! They installed a new system (both outdoor and indoor units) in May 2025. Within just three months, I had to call three times to schedule a technician because one problem after another kept arising. First, the system wasn't wired correctly, so the heat didn't work at all. Troubleshooting the issue wasn't easy, and they ended up sending different technicians on different days. The second issue involved the cooling system -- the outdoor unit appeared to be functioning, but no cold air was coming through. As for the third issue, I'm still not sure what happened with the smart thermostat that was supposed to transmit data to their service department. Tried Topline because of a card they sent offering a very low price for annual service. They found that the inlet valves on my heat pump were leaking and recharged the system. Home Guide says that R410 refrigerant should cost $50 to $80 per pound installed (they buy it for $4 to $8). Angi gives an average price of $280 for a total recharge. My system took 7 pounds to fill and Topline wanted to charge $370 per pound. I complained and the price was dropped to $100 a pound, making my bill for this recharge and replacement of two valve cores $970. The annual system service that started this was never completed. If there were no other company doing A/C repairs I would do without before bringing them back. They employ some of the same tactics that give car dealers a bad name. read more

Nothing but trouble with their mini split system. Had it installed in May of 2025 and I've had to call for service 6 times already. Multiple refrigerant leaks. Called again on Friday Nov.14th after they serviced the system on the 12th. After expressing my extreme displeasure with my system and that I was contemplating legal action, the customer service girl on the phone promised that she would take care of the situation. She said she was going to forward my complaint to the install manager and that I would hear from either him or her later on. After hours of nothing I made 3 attempts to call back only to hear a phone ringing that was never answered. So now this morning (Sat. the 15th) I call again and get a different girl. Told her everything that was going on and she confirmed my phone call and conversation on Friday. So she tells me that indeed the install manager would call me and that a service technician would be here between 3 and 6 pm. I get a call at 6pm and am told that the service tech cant make it because he is still at another job and it's raining hard. So now I have to wait until tomorrow ( the 16th). 13 months ago I had a overpriced mini split system installed by Topline out of Pittsburgh, PA. The day they came out to do the install they were late. My unit already broke down last month ( July ) and to stay in warranty we called Topline to schedule a repair. They scheduled us 4 weeks out so our unit sat without AC the whole month of July. August 4th was our scheduled repair day so I took a personal day off work. Topline never showed up, instead I get a phone call a hour after their scheduled appointment time and was told nobody can get a hold of my technician and I would need to be rescheduled for the next day. Well, I had to burn another personal day but was assured the "manager" was the one going to come out and service the ticket and there was going to be $99 off the service call. Well, the manager never came and when called by the technician to validate the $99 off he disagreed and said the $99 "dispatch fee" still applies. Received service from this company back in August 17-18, 2022 to our Central HVAC unit that stalled for the first time after 5 years of service since brand new. I was ridiculously over charged for the following alleged parts needed to correct the problem. First, I was over charged $370 for a "DUAL VALUE RUN CAPACITORS ALL MFD 370/440V", which I just found out that you can get it for less than $30 anywhere but I wasn't aware of that until now. Second, I was over charged $961 for a "Universal Condenser Fan Motor", which you can get for about $135 anywhere but again I was unaware of. Finally, I was over charged $1667 for a "Special Order Control Board" that I believe it wasn't necessary to be replaced since the same problem has reoccurred just recently and I had it fixed myself with just replacing the capacitor for less than $25. It's the sole reason for this late review after the mentioned facts. By the way, the fan they replaced was perfectly fine, just got a little bit of oil at one of the ends but there was nothing wrong with the way it was working at the time of the initial inspection. Lesson learned: Never trust this business that have nothing else better to do than scamming customers with over priced and possibly not needed replacement parts that you're better off getting them yourselves, and it would never hurts to get a second opinion. For all that, I would never ever recommend this business to anyone, period. read more

So, I only had them install the new AC unit because everyone else wanted me to wait until the end of July. However, one piece of duct was missing and they did not have the part with them even though one of the techs that came to install said they usually do but it wasn't in the notes, so that's why they didn't have it. They cancelled my first appointment without even telling me even tho they have my email and phone number. And I have to take off work to be there because apparently they're too precious to work on weekends. I can't keep taking time off from my work to sit home and wait, and yesterday my appointment was set between 3:30pm and 6pm, and they showed up at 2pm!!! Very very unprofessional. Even though someone called the day before to ask me if that was "OK" to come earlier, and I said "NO, it is not". Then, I get a text message yesterday that they're on their way!!! At 1:53PM I get a text that a tech is on the way!!! I call back and ask what is going on and the guy on the phone assures me he will message the techs that the appt is not until 3:30PM according to the lady I spoke to on the phone a week ago.I also asked that they don't show up before 4:30pm because I don't own a helicopter and be there for those times. The fact that they expect people to take off from work and then like it happened now two times, I get home at 4:30pm as I told them, and they cancel my appointment even though my appointment window doesn't end until 6PM, is incredibly unprofessional. I lose money every time I go home early. Who is paying me for MY TIME rushing home and then for nothing because they decided to leave and not complete the appointment? Absolutely horrible service. First contacted TOPLINE in November 2021 to replace a outside filter on my 5 YEAR OLD unit. TOPLINE AC tech suggested a contract of (auto deduct) of $18.99 per month for servicing my AC and furnace yearly. In May of 2022, I called to schedule a routine maintenace on my AC. My scheduled appt was May 16, 2022 between 10:30 and 1:30 PM. No one arrived. Called office and they rescheduled me. Around 4:00 pm a TOPLINE TECH arrived TOPLINE TECH proceeded to clean the inside of AC unit. -After cleaningTOPLINE TECH state not getting 24 volts to AC unit. -TOPLINE Tech was on the speaker phone almost the entire time he was here -TOPLINE Tech stated he needed to run 5 new wires to my unit. -After TOPLINE tech installed wires I said all fixed, Tech stated no I think you have bad censors. -TOPLINE Tech stated you can use AC but you might burn out the compressor. -The total bill for installing the wires was $785.00 couple! (with a credit of 141.00) for service plan). I stated for running wires he stated I ran 5 wires 30 ft!!! I cannot pay that! TOPLINE Tech stated how much can you pay???? I sat there dumbfounded I stated 200.00 -TOPLINE Tech stated let me talk to my boss WENT OUTSIDE came in and stated Boss says OK 200.00 Is fine! I paid with credit card. -TOPLINE Tech stated would you like a air filter for your house, I said will that fix my AC? TOPLINE Tech says NO. I said NO I don't want it! TOPLINE Tech stated someone else will come to look at the censors. the next day I contacted another HVAC company and briefly explained I want a second opionion. I told this company I know you will charge a service call that is fine, but I want you to look at the unit. New TECH GOT FIRED UP when I explained the above to him NEW TECH stated I will have this fixed in 10 minutes!! He took off the top and sides and said SEE THAT RED BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THE UNIT!! TOPLINE TECH TRIPPED that when cleaning so he proceeded to clean up the wires and mess by TOPLINE AND it ran like a charm. I did not need wires or censors- AND NEW TECH STATED THOSE 5 wires he ran are in ONE CABLE NOT SEPARATE!!! I asked NEW TECH if he would talk to TOPLINE he agreed. Got my 200.00 back. I Talked to TOPLINE owner and told him I thought at first the TOPLINE TECH was not train- but after the sensors and the House air filter I told the owner he was coy and I do not trust TOPLINE. Please stop my auto deduct!! June 1, 2022, the auto duct is pending from my bank. Called my bank and they cannot stop auto deduct but will hold the amount from TOPLINE once cleared. While talking to the bank rep. I explained about TOPLINE!! Seems her neighbor across the street also had a problem with TOPLINE TECH, he was also TRYING TO UPSELL HER until she left her dogs in the room and told TOPLINE REP, my relative is a police officer then the TOPLINE TECh left!! Vitaliy Patrushev was very professional, very thorough! Explained what was found, and recommended needed repairs/service. Replaced nozzle, screen, and oil filter in our furnace, which is an old Burnham boiler. Took him a little extra time to do everything, because we had not had the servicing done last year.
