    Jerk chicken kabobs

Thursday evening, pickup order. The order was estimated to be ready in 20 minutes, it was ready in 10 minutes. The items were kept in a hot box so everything was still warm upon my arrival. The jerk chicken kabobs were spicy. I enjoy spicy things but the kabobs were nearly so spicy I couldn't enjoy them. The plantains were very good but overpriced, $3.50 for four pieces of a plantain. I would try other things on the menu.

I've eaten here several times, tried different dishes, and the food has all been truly outstanding. Very flavorful and fresh. The restaurant is very well run by the two friendly and efficient owners, who do all the cooking and serving. Highly recommended.

The name says it all. Mom and pop shop that serves top notch Caribbean food. Drinks are fairly priced but the food is on the expensive side. Definitely worth it because of the amount of food you get. We shared the sweet and spicy jerk wings to start, it was perfectly cooked. Juicy, spicy and sweet at the same time. I ordered the brown stew chicken and it was bursting with flavors. My BF ordered the molasses rubbed jerk pork, he loved it! Definitely will be back as I wanted to try other goodies on the menu.

Cute little family run Jamaican restaurant. Food is great. Some of the best oxtails I've found in Phoenix. You also got to check out the patties! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute decor, small little patio area and decent music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely a place worth trying out. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The chicken was all so flavorful and we enjoyed every bite. The goat was so tender and flavorful and we loved the rice. The cabbage and slaw were really nice too. The service was kind and good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is a nice vibe with good music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Hands down the best Jamaican food I've had since living in New York. Owner was very welcoming and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was gorgeous and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was winding in my seat while I waited for my food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music adds that much more of an experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the braised oxtails; They fell off the bone had the best seasonings and were so tender. HIGHLY recommend and will definitely be returning! Thank you so much for giving us a taste of Jamaica!

    Curry goat

Ordered the curry goat ,Tried the Jerk chicken and also shared a plate of oxtail. The Curry Goat and the rice and peas rice was amazing! 10/10. The Oxtail on the other hand 1/10. I know everything is pre-cooked but i really wonder how old the oxtail was or if i just got really bad pieces. Good oxtail should be tender and succulent, this was just rough all the way around. For $27 id pass next time. The jerk chicken was tasty. The Male server was not welcoming at all! Answered everything rudely and acted like he didn't want to serve us. It was a hassle just to request the oxtail in a separate plate. At one point I offered to separate it since he didn't want take my order that way. Just bring me a plate so i can do it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior was cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The beef patty was good with the hot sauce:) That curry goat put me in a food coma , that's the best thing about TopNotch, I want more.

Chicken Patty, curry goat that fall off the bone. Omg!!!! Mandatory nap immediately during and after

Top 3 signs the food might be fire 1) I didn't unbuckle my pants. I let my pants unbuckle themselves 2) I put on sunglasses while eating indoors. Somehow the room got brighter 3) My dog tried begging for a bite. In my empty house I asked "Who's dog is this?"

So I just had this mamas fried chicken, so good, juicy, crunchy, and so flavorful!

Mama's fried chicken, sooo very tasty , juicy and crunchy, everything on this plate was good, veggies steamed to perfection

The International Supper Club met here for June and I was excited to try Jamaican food for the first time. I had heard good things about this place from fellow Yelpers and got some suggestions for dishes to order. I went with a side of plantains and the jerk chicken, a staple. I chose steamed vegetables and coconut rice with peas as my sides. The owners chatted with us and were helpful in providing background information about different dishes which was great. They brought out our food as they were prepared and we dug in. I loved everything about my plate: the smoky spicy flavors of the chicken, the bbq-like sauce, the beans in the rice, even the vegetables which appeared to be typical ones you'd find sold in a frozen bag were very tasty. Portion size was plentiful and I had leftovers for the following day. The plantains were delicious as well, and I even sampled some breadfruit from Norm who had previously dined here and recommended it as a unique dish. Once you finish your meal, you pay at the register. Convenient for our large party as we didn't need to split checks and just had to inform our servers of what we ordered. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and drinks and I'm glad I got to try this spot!

You can choose your jerk sauce as Sweet, Mild, or Spicy, and we both went with Spicy. In my opinion, that's the way to go! It's not so spicy that it overpowers the food. Instead, it has just the right amount of heat with a subtle sweetness that makes every bite incredibly flavorful. And let's talk about the portions! They are very generous, especially for the price. In today's economy, finding a restaurant that serves both delicious food and generous portions at a fair price is becoming harder and harder, so this was a pleasant surprise. We've actually been to Jamaica, and I can honestly say this meal took me right back to our island vacation years ago. The flavors were authentic, the jerk seasoning was spot on, and the rice and peas and steamed cabbage were the perfect sides to round out the meal. I can't wait to either dine in or order from them again because there are so many other dishes on the menu that I want to try. That said...my heart belongs to jerk chicken, so I already know I'll be ordering that again and again. Finally, a true taste of the islands right here in my own backyard!

Both meals came with generous portion sizes, which we appreciated. The oxtails were the standout dish. They were tender, well-seasoned, and very flavorful. The cabbage was also delicious. One thing that was different from other Jamaican restaurants we've visited was that the cabbage included peas, which was new to us, but it was still very good. The rice and beans were just okay. They could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor. The jerk chicken was also just average and didn't stand out as much as the oxtails. The prices are on the higher side, with most dinner entrees costing around $30 or more. However, they do offer weekly specials, which may provide a better value. They also feature live music on certain days, creating a fun atmosphere for those dining in. The restaurant is conveniently located in a shopping plaza surrounded by other businesses, including Dairy Queen, Jamba Juice, Kohl's, and several other shops, making it an easy stop if you're already in the area.

The musicians played a great mix of current songs, which created an amazing atmosphere throughout the restaurant. The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. I also loved the thoughtful touch of offering personal handheld fans to guests if they got warm. The bar was another standout. I really appreciated that the cocktails are crafted using African or Black-owned liquors, making the drink menu feel unique and intentional. If you don't drink alcohol, they also have a wonderful selection of mocktails and natural teas, so there are plenty of options for everyone. The food took a little longer than expected to come out, but nothing unreasonable. The portions are generous, and the prices are fair for the quality and amount of food you receive. We ordered the oxtails, jollof rice, broccoli, peri-peri chicken, and pineapple chicken. Everything was delicious, especially the oxtails and jollof rice. My only recommendation is to be prepared if you're not a fan of spicy food the piri piri chicken definitely has some heat. Since they don't offer ranch or similar cooling sauces, just keep that in mind when ordering. Overall, Latha offers more than just great food it's a full experience. Authentic Jamaican served right in Chandler AZ. We were warmly welcomed upon entering the establishment. After weighing various options on an extensive menu. I decided on the tilapia fillets Escovitch style with the side of steamed vegetables (shredded cabbage and carrots that was amazing) and festivals. My wife opted Bone in brown stew chicken with a side of rice & beans and festivals. The wait for the food to served was reasonable given that it was apparent it had been made fresh upon being served. The fish was deliciously seasoned and lightly breaded. The escovitch sauce was the perfect complement for both the fish and the cabbage. My wife's bone in brown stew chicken was amazing as well the chicken was so tender it was falling off the bone and was perfectly seasoned. The gravy for the stew was plentiful and added an additional taste when added to the beans and rice. Portions were large with enough leftovers for another meal when we finished eating. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly with a consistent flow of carryout orders and dine-in customers. I would highly recommend Ocean Blue Caribbean and look forward to our next visit.

Hubby: Let's go out and try something new for dinner tonight. I'm thinking about hitting up this…read moreCaribbean spot. Me: Say less. I'm. So. Glad. That. We. Came. Here. Inside is a whole Caribbean vibe, music, natural decor, and all. I love the mural on the grass wall. The service was exceptional. Thanks for taking great care of us Sam (and the other server who helped us with our order, sorry I didn't get his name). I ordered the Bone-In Brown Stew Chicken with Rice and Beans and Festivals as my side. The chicken was so flavorful and tender! The gravy with potatoes and veggies was perfect to mix my rice in. Yummy in my tummy! I'd definitely try it again. My hubby got the fried Tilapia (Escovitch style...spicy veggies in a pepper vinager), cabbage, and festivals. Um, um, good! I ate most of his cabbage and a piece of fish because of how much they piled on his plate. Actually both dishes were really large portions. So, I have a nice amount of leftovers for lunch tomorrow- yay! We will most definitely return!
