Communication leading up was great. But then the day of we got a call 10 mins before they were supposed to arrive that there was a problem with the bus and they'd be late and send a different bus. They were almost 30 minutes late so we missed part of our concert. They did end up sending a bigger bus which was nice. Then at the end of the night tried to charge us an extra $180 for going 10 minutes over, even though they were late in the first place. Don't recommend if you need to be somewhere on time! Last week, I booked the 24 passenger bus ("Silver Shadow") for my daughter's HS Prom Group. The kids were all thrilled with the ride. Sam was my contact person at the Bus Company. Couldn't have asked for a better experience working with him. He returned all of my calls promptly and was flexible when we had to change up one of the after prom stops. Bonus points that he had a great sense of humor. The kids had to sign a waiver upon entering the bus, which explained what they could and could not do while on the bus. They were provided 6 hours of unlimited bus time plus bottles of water and soft drinks. Our driver was a retired School Bus Driver, so she knew exactly how to interact with this bus full of crazy teenagers. I think the hardest part of the entire experience was collecting the $$ from all of the other parents before Prom Night. I had paid the deposit on my credit card, but needed to have the balance of our money ready in CASH for the driver. I give this company a HIGH FIVE rating. Will definitely be calling them again for next year's Senior Prom and hopefully for other fun events!! read more

I used Top Shelf for my 40th birthday celebration last night. It was a perfect night. The bus prompt (arrived 15 min. ahead of schedule.) The driver was professional and was at our beckon call all night. The bus was clean, fun, had a rocking sound system, bar, comfortable seating for 24, etc. It was the most fun way to celebrate a monumental birthday that I can imagine. Prior to booking, I was searching online for a company and reading reviews about many companies. I was very skeptical after reading lots of nightmarish stories of other companies. Cindy, at Top Shelf, was amazing. She emailed me multiple times, educated me about what to look for with a bus broker, cautioned me about "fly-by-night" companies. She won my business after we spoke on the phone and she was so knowledgable, reassuring me that her company has a commitment to ensure that their customers are happy. And I am. I was a little hesitate about reserving a party bus with this company for my birthday as some of the reviews were not so good. I will have to say that I made the best decision ever. From the time we placed our order with Sam until the time we were picked up by Daniel our experience was nothing less than amazing. Daniel made sure he communicated with us when he was 10 minutes from arrival, so that we could be ready. He also arrived a bit early and the bus was super nice. This was the worst party bus experience ever. Had a bachelor party and the bus was 1.5 hours late because they went to the wrong address. Bus was an absolute dump and had horrible entertainment and technology. driver didn't know how to use any of it and constantly missed our stops and had to make u-turns. Bus also had almost no air conditioning, so we were a sweaty mess the whole time. Do not use them and they need to shit down for good. Horrible management. read more

I rented a 25 person party bus for my 30th birthday. I was very disappointed with my experience with the driver and owner of the company. I would highly suggest going with another company if you are planning a party bus for your next occasion. To provide additional context, the reviews I found on this company prior to booking were mixed, however, they seemed to have one of the more extensive options for buses so I decided to take the leap. Issues: We asked the driver several times to operate the air conditioning as many of the guests on the bus complained about being hot and uncomfortable. However, the AC was only run for a small period of time and then cut off. But my biggest issue was we arrived back from our four reserved hours 12 minutes late after being in traffic and rain in our busy city of Atlanta. I was told I owed $78 in cash before I could exit the bus. After getting the cash and asking for an official copy of the receipt and contract outlining this overcharge I went back and forth with the driver and the owner over the phone on why they did not want to provide. So essentially we were 12 minutes late after paying an extreme amount for the bus and then another hour of going to get cash for the driver and then not being provided a receipt or documentation. Also, after we finally were able to take a picture of the over-charge document it outlines "15 minutes" and again we were 12 minutes late (no exaggeration!). I thought this encounter was very tactless and inconsiderate on part of the driver and owner when I had close to 10 people ask me about the company wanting to book them in the future because they did have fun on the bus, I indicated to all that I would use another company if I were them and will do in the future. This was a horrible transaction! Just save your money and time and go with another company! read more

If I could give this company less than 1 star, I definitely would. This company was booked a month in advance and well aware of the dinner reservations and time schedule. An hour before pick up, we are told that the bus we requested was running late. They sent another bus that was late as well. The driver took us to the wrong restaurant causing us to be an hour late. Then during my birthday dinner, I receive another call stating the bus is still not available, they were sending another bus and that bus wouldnt be there until 1140 pm. The restaurant closed at 11pm. We are outside waiting, my birthday was brought in in a parking lot and the driver did not show up until 1230 am. This company ruined my birthday. I would advise everyone to avoid this company at all cost. Also their was a lack of compassion for the situation. I rented the Silver Bullet for my 40th birthday party this Saturday and was very disappointed !! The bus driver did not know her way around Metro Atlanta !! They were provided a schedule way in advance !! I was on a tight schedule and missed my reservations at the restaurant !! She drove back with the emergency brake on and the bus started to smoke !! I called the owner and all he offered to give me was 30 additional minutes !! My experience was ok. Sam was great to work with but the bus itself was sub par. It was HOT and we were drenched with sweat before arriving at our location. The AC seemed to work fine, there just wasn't enough vents to cool the whole bus. The dance pole was bent and loose and the handle bars were falling out of the ceiling. I was told the bus would be fully stocked with cups, ice, and sodas. None of that was available and the driver had to go into to Walmart to get some after we loaded, even though he was at our location 30 minutes early before we arrived. Our driver was very nice & prompt though. Overall we had fun but I think I'll be doing more research before booking my next party bus outing. read more

My friends and I have used Topshelf twice now and each time have been fun and memorable experiences. The buses are clean and the drivers are friendly and so patient with people who are partying in the back. This past Saturday we got the Thunder 25 passenger bus and I believe the driver's name was Ben. He arrived early and was so flexible and patient. He was great and the bus was awesome. I wish I could give it 0 stars... I was the best man for Bachelor Party in 2006 and picked this company. The "renovated school bus" was a piece of junk. The stereo system was weak and the liquor that was provided in the cost was rancid and warm. The AC did not work and, (get ready for this) the freaking bus engine caught on fire a halfway through the night. We (25 guys) had to sit in a parking lot and wait for the bus driver to get a response from a unresponsive owner. When she finally answered the phone she provided no help whatsoever. She refused to speak with me after the bus driver told her that I wanted to speak with her. Unbelievable. She told him to refund me whatever cash he had on him which was approx 20% of what the total rental cost us. When I called her a week later to recoup another 25% so as to make it an even 50% refund, which was more than fair considering the usage, she refused to refund me any more money. Stay away from this company. Terrible buses and terrible customer service. Only saving grace was the bus driver "Stumpy" which was a great guy and did all he could for us. read more

First, I would say be careful of the terms of the agreement when booking with this company. Your deposit and charges become hard 30 days prior to the date. So, if you put your deposit down less than 30 days prior to the event, you have to pay the entire amount. I actually read the agreement and negotiated a two-week cancellation. That's a little beside the point. These guys are brokers. They have little control over the actual buses, drivers, etc. I received a call an hour before pickup from the broker stating that the AC was not working in the bus we rented, so they were upgrading at no charge. Fine. Pickup was scheduled for 5:15, eventually picked up and departed around 6:15. Very late to the event, missed the group picture. Driver was late to pick up as he was "stuck in traffic" 5:00 on Johnson Ferry. Duh. It gets better. When he arrived, it was actually two Sprinters, instead of the PB, one seating 7 and one seating 15 (total party of 20). "The PB had run over something on the road and had two flat tires." Really???? Very disappointing. Broker was no help, gave the owner my name and number to try and make it right afterwards. Never got a call. Last Prom, really screwed up, I wouldn't use them again. I will never use this company again nor suggest it to anyone. This past weekend for a prom, parents had rented a bus that would carry 15 couples. We were told that we would a new bus. The bus that was sent held 15 people at max. My son noticed on the odometer that there was 199,000 miles and the check engine light was on and at 80 degrees outside, there was no AC. The driver was extremely rude. He was late picking them up from dinner and when leaving got the bus stuck and the guys had to get the bus back on the road. They got the the prom at 10:00pm and the prom ended at 11:00pm (so much for the money that was spent). When the driver finally got back to pick them up, he said that the bus would not make it from Atl to Conyers and they would have the change buses. The bus they went to was the new one that had been promised but was trashed inside from a previous hire which meant that they had overbooked. Extremely disappointed. Definitely doesn't exemplify Top Shelf!! read more
