Excellent, nuanced Italian cuisine with friendly service, in a warm atmosphere. The penne alla vodka and rigatoni Bolognese are the Platonic ideal of these dishes, the calamari was unusually good and the risotto was excellent. A lovely evening. read more

Food in general was of good quality and tasty. But on this last visit, the veal chop was sub-par, it had quite a bit of fatty tissues and membranes. The branzino a bit over done, but the clams oreganata really failed and if the clams were really that tiny, the kitchen should know better not to serve it and damage its reputation. The full service bar did a good job of filling some classic cocktail orders for our guests. Service was a bit rush and can be improved. It is a nice place to get together with friends and family. It is also kids friendly. We may revisit when we are in the area but not high on our list. read more

We went a few times in the first year they opened and were impressed by the food and service. Unfortunately, both have significantly declined since then. We went tonight and waited 45 min for our appetizer and well over an hr for our dinner. Both our appetizers (muscles) and dinners (steak, branzino, ravioli and chicken) were bland and unimpressive. Each meal was not even half eaten. The manager stopped at our table to ask how our meal was. We replied that it was ok and declined to box the leftovers. Any other quality restaurant would have asked if there was a problem with the food or even offered a free dessert or removed a meal from the bill. This is usually done without being asked at quality restaurants. This manager clearly was not interested in our experience. We will not be returning to this establishment. read more

I had my sons baptism here on 11/3/24. They have a really nice private room that accommodated my 40 guests. The food and drinks were excellent. The appetizers and pasta are family style but the entree is individually served (which is great). They also have several entree options to choose from which is great for a large gathering. Everyone had a wonderful time and my guests are still talking about it 3 weeks later! The service was impeccable. The owner and his son are extremely accommodating. We came for a friends birthday and our entire experience was incredible. Service was 5 stars, we had 4 different martinis with different modifiers and they all came out perfect. The food came out at the perfect time, we never felt rushed and Armand and his team anticipated all our needs. Food was fantastic, my short rib pappardelle was melt in your mouth good. We shared the scallop special for an app and it was a home run. Top notch food, drinks and service all around. Getting straight to the point -- I will NOT be coming back. My wife and I just had dinner here with 3 friends. Very nice atmosphere, handsomely designed white dining spaces, two floors. Given it was a Saturday night, we expected some challenges on a busy night. Little clues began to trickle in, like bread basket with no butter or olive oil. Then drink orders were taken, but no menus given until asked. After perusing the high-priced wine list, I chose a relatively modest bottle of Italian Chianti for $60. After being told this selection was not available, a slightly more pricey one was offered at the same price. My wife and I decided to split an appetizer and main course, not to gorge ourselves as we sometimes do, so ordered the mozzarella caprese appetizer and spaghetti con vongole main course to share. Waiting for the food, we asked for bread basket refills, which were pretty small, around 4 slices of good Italian bread for our table of 5. But after the 3rd basket, we were told they ran out of bread. Odd, on a busy Saturday night. To top that off, it seemed to take an inordinate amount of time for our food to arrive. It eventually did, and our dining companions were happy with their meals. As for ours, the caprese, as expected, was not as good as how we usually get it (with basil). However, their variation uses arugula and peppers. Good, but even the tomatoes were of the pale supermarket variety. The spaghetti con vongole was surprisingly a small portion, like something from a kid's menu. It was delicious, but a meager portion, especially since we were sharing. Upon getting the bill, as I suspected might happen, I was charged $65 for the wine, not the $60 I was promised. I informed the waiter, who corrected the error without problem. But just as part of our table conversation, I decided to check the market price on the wine using a phone app (Vivino), which revealed a typical price of $9.99 (see attached photo). So I was charged 6x the normal price for a cheap bottle of wine. Normally I expect a good mark-up on liquor, usually $30 wine prices. But these guys doubled that, at least. I guess the nice white decor was supposed to make us forget things like that. All told, our bill was $111.00 for the two of us (not including tip). Bottom line, the food was enjoyable, but left us wanting. So just as a matter of principle, I don't like being made a sucker by ripping me off with a smile. I don't think I would make a return visit here. read more

this restaurant used to be a family restaurant called hands and has been a few restaurants which didn't quite make it but In comes "TORCELLOS" It was surprisingly quaint. The staff was family, which I love and made our experience like we were eating at our own table at home The food was amazing. We never have to ask for anything. They were very so attentive. And the ambience was wonderful. Kudos to the owner and his staff for being so wonderful.. We love it there and we'll go there all the time. Thank you to all the staff. Dined here last night at the suggestion of friends and was very pleased with the total package. We were last at this location when it was under prior ownership and called La Reserva. The owner is friendly and greets you enthusiastically. The service was attentive but not obsequious. Most of the Italian food are the normal fare. I was surprised to see few seafood items. However almost all of the specials were seafood. Very pleased with the branzino special. The owner gifted an after dinner zambuca as a nice touch. read more

Given a $100 gift card as Christmas present but lost it and never used it. They have no records to determine if the card was ever used . Went to the restaurant and explained to the the manager the card was lost his response was how could know whether I was telling him the truth. He offered us $50 . I told him that I would not accept less than what was paid for. A simple system of numbering the cards would allow if that if one was lost it could be canceled and replaced. Very disappointed with how this restaurant treated us as if we were trying get something we were not entitled to. Very disappointing. read more

First timing trying out this establishment. The decor and ambiance was quite nice. The manager was attentive and professional. Our waiter was excellent with his recommendations and wine choices. The food all sounded delish but the special appetizer and my meal needed more flavor. The appetizer was a pistachio crusted shrimp in Port wine reduction. My meal was 1/2 lobster with shrimp and clams fried Diablo over linguini. It wasn't very spicy and I who never reach for salt had to with both dishes. Even though both should have been flavorful they were not. They were not awful but in need of more flavor. I would go back due to our waiter and it was not too expensive considering most places now a day. read more

Just had a wonderful experience at Torcello this evening. The clams oreganato were made just right with proper proportions of seasoned bread crumbs ( very little) garlic and butter. All the salads we tried were fresh and great quality and nicely dressed. My veal sorentino was tender and delicious. Others had the bronzino with an a artichoke preparation that was for a different fish dish and they were more than happy to oblige the request. Service was highly attentive and very friendly. Based on some recommendations from others we tried Torcello tonight and Wow ! It was delicious. We had the fig flatbread and the crabmeat dumplings for appetizers, both very good and different than what other restaurants are serving. For entrees we had the SeaBass special which was wrapped in thinly sliced potato's and baked and served in a excellent sauce, my wife had the Pollo Torcello also excellent and my daughter had the Pollo Gold which she loved ! Service was very attentive and on point, and prices were very fair . Portions were generous. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning there soon.
