Another lovely dinner with the ENTIRE family. We came on Mother's Day for dinner and sat in a quiet off-shoot room. They had a special menu with loads of appetizers and of course, breads! I still love the fried calamari the best!! I had the giant shrimp oreganata over linguine. It was fine. The seafood ravioli (shrimp and crab) looked really good. Went here for a pre-Mothers Day brunch. Place is very old school, with the walls covered in pics of Sinatra, Marilyn, and various characters in Scorsese and Coppola films. My chicken francese was okay -- a bit too salty but passable. The restaurant was hosting two separate functions, with our table very close to one which featured a DJ, so every tine the doors opened we caught a blast of loud music. This happened repeatedly throughout our meal. I did see other seating areas and am unclear as to why we were placed so close to the loud function. That said, the men's room does feature a flatscreen just above the urinal (see pic) so I was able to watch the Yankees getting crushed as I did my business. read more

I have been coordinating parties at Casarina's since 2021. Since the new owners took over, they have been extremely rude and obnoxious. The old owner over a year ago quoted me one price with them. Then a month ago I called and found out he sold, however, the new owner told me as a courtesy they would honor the price. Now 5 days before my party they denied everything and told me it wasn't true and raised my prices. Poor business ethics. Poor management. I spoke to the new owner Blair Krasnoqi who was rude. I told him that I have had many parties there and he flat out told me he didn't care. He was trying to over charge me for the alcohol package at $25/hour/person. On the new menu it clearly states $20/person unlimited as of December 2, 2024. When I told him, I am a long standing customer and would continue to have parties there including a retirement party in the next couple months he told me please don't Happy Holidays and slammed the phone down. The old owner, Tommy was a gem to work with. What a shame. He built up this business and now the new owner is destroying it. He will be losing my business and I wish I can give him negative stars. If I could rate less than 1 star, I would. If you want bolognese without meat, this is your place. If you want Marsala sauce without mushrooms or with very little sauce or flavor, this is your place. Cold veggies, ditto. Frozen potato croquettes, yes. Or if you want quality food cooked correctly, go anywhere else. Sorry to say for a restaurant that has been in the community as long as this one, it's really disappointing that the new owners don't know what good food is. Here's my impressions of Casa Rina. The dark paneling on the walls is your tipoff that it's about as old school Italian as you can get. The sound system will fill your ears with the classic sounds of Dean Martin (That's Amore), Tony Bennet, Frank Sinatra, and Bing Crosby. I also heard Fly Me to The Moon and Cheek to Cheek. I doubt you will hear any Brittney Spears or Rap here. Photos on the walls show you images of the same entertainers you hear over the speakers Photos on the men's room walls are of the cast of Goodfellas- Paulie and Jimmy and Tommy and Henry. The staff I interacted with were 100% professional and courteous and helpful. I needed some help hooking up my laptop to their monitor for a presentation and the dapper young man who helped me was terrific. The pricing there was outrageous, and I mean that in the best sense of the word. Our group ordered from the early bird menu and I still can't believe the value. Check this out: 1) one hour of open bar, 2) appetizers at the table of bread, cheese cubes, pepperoncini, black olives, and diced tomato bruschetta, 3) choice of ten appetizers, 4) choice of eleven entrees, 5) choice of four desserts all for under $35. Mind you, this is Westchester County and not Arkansas, and 6) the food was excellent. I went for the fried calamari & hot peppers appetizer and it was delicious. The squid was fried to a golden brown and had none of the rubbery features you sometimes get. Oh, and the marinara dipping sauce was perfect. I went for the seafood over pasta entrée - Fresh Catch, shrimp, calamari, clams, mussels, bianco, linguini but swapped the white sauce for red. I'm not sure what kind of fish was in there, but there was quite a bit of tender flaky fillets and a bonanza of shellfish and pasta. It was an absolutely wonderful dinner. I went for the blueberry cheesecake which was a ten star dish. How is it possible to eat and drink like that for around $35 just 29 miles from Manhattan? There's a lyric in Fly Me to the Moon that goes: "Fill my heart with joy And let me sing forever more" I think that perfectly sums up my impression of Casa Rina. I want to sing their praises to anyone who may be listening. read more

Let's start with the music and then the space itself and the food. Oh my gosh, everything was horrible. I could've opened a jar of pickles, peppers, onions, chopped up a piece of cheap cheese. Provolone. It was supposed to be chopped tomatoes that came out of jar. Everything came out of a jar and then my mail came Will have to say I ordered lamb with Buckley Rob on the side. I ordered a bowl of pasta with garlic and oil. The pasta had absolutely no taste and it looked and felt and tasted like it just came out of a microwave oven. The lamb chops came in smothered in a dark Brown gravy I was shocked to see these beautiful lamb chops covered with this muddy brown gravy that was not even homemade taste left in my mouth was something out of the box. The meat was done to perfection but overruled by this monkey gravy yeah Rob Rob it's OK. I love it, so all in all this, Restaurant gets no marks from me ever will I come back to this not ever...... what the heck happened to this amazing restaurant that used to be Personal and I used to love to come here for the Italian specials, eggplant pasta, meat, dishes, the salad you could not eat this food........ Went to casa rina last night for girls night dinner. For starters loved the ambiance of the place ! It felt like an old school Italian joint with the lighting, decor, and faint music playing in the background. The service was wonderful. Wine and water glasses were being re-filled and extra bread was always brought to the table. I also liked how the servers did not rush you and let you enjoy the night and food. For starters complimentary bread and butter and cheese, olive, and eggplant spread were given. We ordered fried calamari and a cold antipasto for starters. These were delish. The calamari was perfect. We then ordered linguine with clams which in my opinion was bland and lackluster. Then for my entree I ordered chicken Francese which was good but I felt could've used more flavors. With this came a side of risotto which was AMAZING and I recommend everyone try it. Overall I had a wonderful dinner and would return but did feel the food needed a bit more flavor and depth in my opinion. Still worth a try though ! read more

I have visited this place countless times. Birthday parties, graduation, and many more. We have always enjoyed the food and the service was always good. I went recently during Covid and was happy to see it was open and also they practiced social distanceing. The chef specials were amazing and portions are always extra large. I would have gived a 5 star but i was very very disappointed in the fried calamari it was clearly frozen and very soft and chewy. This was the second time i had this experience with the calamari. We've passed this place a bunch of times and never stopped, but now I'm glad we did. It's a nice, older place with a lot of character, like the stone fireplace. The food was good & plentiful. We definitely had enough to take home for another meal. We shared a seafood appetizer for two: Lobster tail, shrimp and clams on the half shell. I had parmesan crusted chicken with creamy pesto and rigatoni. It was a lot of chicken! Great tasting, very moist. Perfectly cooked. My companion had ravioli with sausage and broccoli rabe and sausage, and loved it. For dessert I had lemon gelato and she had chocolate lava cake. Both were excellent, since we shared. Started with fried calamari and mussels Marinara, then a wonderful salad with a lot of different things in it. For mains we had spaghetti carbonara and veal Francese. This place has been cranking out the goodness of delicious Italian fare with generous portions and excellent service for many years. They've gotten with the times and have begun using more elegant servicewear for nicer presentations, but this is come at the price of increased priceless. That notwithstanding if you're looking for a full service Italian restaurant with all the amenities and options, look no further! While yes, the parking does leave quite something to be desired, they answer by offering a valet anytime it's busy. A full bar with ample room to mingle before your seating for dinner. The pastry chef they have on staff comes up with great options to finish off your meal. If you have a special request don't hesitate to ask. If you want your fra diavolo extra hot - they'll happily accommodate, and if you'd like extra salad or a second potato croquette all you have to do is ask! They now own several other restaurants including Goldfish in Ossining, all of which I found great. If they have it on the special I recommend the Eggplant Napoleon, or the Gnocchi Quattro Formaggi.
