Tried Torchy's for the first time while in the Polaris area recently. I tried the Green Chili Pork and the Baja Shrimp tacos. Both were pretty flavorful and distinct. The only downside for me is the price, for almost $5 a taco, I would rather eat at any of the more traditional taquerias or taco trucks in the area. read more

Really nice food quality and great variety here! The wait was long but everything was packed really well and still very hot when we got it back to Lewis Center to enjoy. For those wondering about the price we paid about $75 bucks for a variety of tacos maybe 14 total and sides of guacamole and queso. The ONLY thing I would change is to put the dips / salsas that go with each taco with the taco or potentially label them. Very much looking forward to our next visit. I love Condado as well. That pocket of Gemini has some seriously good options with Atlas and Kitchen Social. read more

Wife and I decide to try Torchy's at a friend's recommendation. We are ordering takeout but decide to go in to see the restaurant rather than use the drive through. We order food for takeout and I'm disappointed to see a tip screen like you would see in a New York cab during payment. I understand that tipping is good and I always tip, even for takeout, but I don't agree with tipping before the service is performed. So, I select zero % on the tip screen and pull out a few dollars for a cash tip when the food comes. After about 15-20 minutes of standing in the front of the restaurant, being ignored by the staff, I approach the cashier and ask how long it normally takes to prepare an order and she says 10 minutes. I tell her we have been waiting for far longer than that and she goes to the back and discovers our food had been sitting at the drive through window for pickup and gives us a coupon for free Queso as comp... I kept the cash tip in my pocket. Was it because I didn't tip when I paid? Are they that incompetent that they put an in-person take-out order in the drive through when we are standing in the front of a mostly empty restaurant while the staff avoids eye contact? The food was good, but cold, and very expensive for what you get. read more

Finally have one in Columbus! We went a random Saturday and boy was it packed! One of us ordered while the other was trying to find seating. It was cold so no one was sitting outside. We ended up getting a high top table in the back, but I know some people were waiting for seats for a while. The food came out fast and it was good! The queso is my favorite - it's super good! Definitely recommend to everyone! The tacos are good too, remind me of condados to be honest. I would probably go again when they aren't so crowded. They do have high chairs and most part are kid friendly! read more

Do better Torchy's Tacos. We love the food but honestly the service is a major problem the last few times we were there. The young lady who took our order last night was the only person "working". The two adults just stood around talking the entire time against the dividing wall. Once our order was placed and our food served to our table, no one checked on us. We have figured out if we want service, we have to sit at the bar. Unfortunately we have children and we can't sit there. Our order was wrong. We wanted more chips. The restaurant got busy and the line got long and again, the only young lady was working up front. While we were leaving one of the male adults decided to open another cash register and his approach on providing service was an embarrassment. He clearly didn't want to be there. Went here for lunch this past week and it was my first time ever. Customer service was A+ wonderful, hence the 5 stars! Our server made great recommendations and was very accommodating and kind. She filled us in on the secret menu and I tried the Naughty Santa-a taco with chorizo and shrimp. It was sooooo good!! I also tried a tipsy chick taco and it was good but I don't think I'd get it again. The chips and queso were also delicious, I can see why they are award-winning. I was not impressed with the food. I ordered Baja taco and street corn. The food was not good in my opinion. The price for a taco is outrageous for the size. Most of the tacos were $5-6. There are no limits on how slow this place is. I was the only person in the joint and somehow it's taking 20 minutes to get two tacos. This is our first visit to a Torchys. Have heard a lot of great things and wanted to check out if the hype was real. We visited on a Sunday around 3pm. Place was fairly busy. The menu was fairly easy to navigate. We ordered to go. We ordered the Queso, guacamole, salad, mofaux taco, tipsy chick, fried avocado, and green Chile pork tacos. They were priced from $4.65-$6 a taco. The size of one taco is a little bigger than your traditional street taco. The tipsy chick was real good though a bit messy, the chicken was flavorful and cooked well. It comes with a side of bacon marmalade which was solid. The pork taco was average. The mofaux (plant based) taco was filled well with ingredients and tasty. The Queso was delicious, had a nice little kick of spice. Overall a nice experience. Staff was friendly. Maybe a little overpriced for the quantity of food but overall worth a try. We will be back. read more

I was running errands when the taco bug bit me. The kind that won't be fixed with taco bell. No, this was the craving that could only be satisfied with big meaty chunks of flavorful protein. They have a variety of colorfully named tacos are about $5-6 bucks a pop (or $6-7 with tip) so priced for a full taco bell combo but in place of value they deliver major flavor. I got the Trailer Park (fried chicken) and Crossroads (beef brisket) and I gotta say they filled me up pretty good. There's a good amount of meat, a ton of supporting cast (Pico de gallo, cilantro, grilled onions, cheese, etc) and a tasty sauce to make it a proper fiesta in your mouth. The service was pretty normal - all good here. The interior felt like a fast casual cafeteria rather than a restaurant but it's no frills and the restroom was clean. Parking as usual in Polaris is always plentiful. I came for tacos and I'm walking out with a smile. Solid 4 stars mi amigo. read more

Tried this place out while waiting on my mom to be done at the doctors and it was so good! Everything was fresh, I ordered the taco of the month the Washington and even though the ingredients sounded weird when list they actually blended together really well it was so yummy! the employees were really nice and helpful, Food came out in a timely manner I wasn't waiting long at all, and I think it is so neat they have a little bar in there as well! The fried chicken was cooked, but ice cold and the fried coating was soft and mushy. It's obvious that this food is warmed up from leftovers. Tried to get the attention of the bartender twice, but she ignored us and eventually sat at the bar with her back to use and played on her phone.
