Secondly, my taco was leaking in the bottom of the bag was giving away.... When I took my first bite of the taco, it was so soggy the entire thing fell apart. So I had to put it in a bowl and eat it with a spoon. No one likes soggy tacos!!!!! Called to let them know I did not receive my salsa with my chips and they told me to come in the next day and they would take care of it, however, even with me showing them my receipt, they gave me the incorrect item.... Which was chipotle ranch dip!?!? Again I have to call them... go back out into the cold only to get home and find out they once again gave me chipotle ranch dip, instead of salsa!!!!! People get it together!!! There is NO excuse for messing up three times in a row! The more I go to Torchy's, the more I like them. Went in Austin years ago, went to a couple up here. Today this was handy and I wanted to try their taco of the month, the Vagabond: beef, onions, bacon, feta, chimichurri sauce, etc. It was overstuffed, very tasty, well balanced. Wish it were on the regular menu. I also had a chili verde pork taco: not as stuffed but full, with tender pork and good toppings. That and a drink, dine-in, for about $15, not bad. I was hungry again within an hour or so, meaning I should probably have gotten a side or another taco. They were pushing breakfast tacos, on sale right now, but I'm not big on those. Great service, here and at every Torchy's I've been to. A decent selection. A bar. Easy access and parking. A little loud inside, not busy; more bodies probably deaden the sound a bit. read more

We ordered 2 bowls here. We were super happy with our salmon bowls. It had just the right amount of spice and savoriness. The nuts were a pleasant surprise. The addition of pickled red onions really pulled all the elements of the dish together. It was great value and a must order if you are craving fish. read more

After having a disappointing taco a few nights ago at a mexican restaurant, I couldnt shake my craving for tacos. I remembered that Torchy's was nearby and headed over. We decided to skip the drive in and go in to order. Now some people are die hard Torchys fans. Some not so much. I fall in the middle. Having eaten at the Polaris one a few times I know some taco creations are better than the others. So I went in thinking i was getting the green city pork as I know I love that one. Then I saw their flavor of the month, and decided flavor of the month it is! What was that? A delicious taco called the Scallywag: Five nice sized coconut breaded shrimp are in each one. They are breaded with coconut and captain crunch crusted shrimp with jack cheese, bacon, green chiles, pickled onions, cilantro, and peach habanero jam. As I waited i checked out the restaurant.: lots of seating. They have a nice sized bar. Serve frozen margaritas. Fun music plays. When your to go order is ready they open the back of the cubbies, call your name, and place it in a cubby. They called our name... We grabbed our tacos and headed home. Once home we loved every bite! Fun atmosphere to hang with friends for door and drinks. They have a small selection of draft beers and a decent selection of signature cocktails. Have a number of TVs to watch games and have music playing in background. With everything going on and the open air environment it can get loud. They have a decent selection of tacos for both breakfast and lunch/dinner along with appetizers you can enjoy. Not feeling a taco, you can order other items. The tacos are good. However I have had better in Columbus for less money. You will need to order at counter and then seat yourself while they prep your food. This torchy's just opened a couple weeks ago. It has a nice atmosphere and stays pretty clean. Chips and queso were pretty good, a bit spicy in case you are sensitive. The green chili pork is was one of the best versions of an Al pastor for a chain restaurant that I've had. I recommend it! The brushfire was spicy, be careful how much sauce you add. Nothing epic about the naughty Santa or Baja shrimp. Expect about $5 a taco, it does get busy! read more

we love Torchy's food. Best queso in Columbus and you can't tell me otherwise. But our dinner tonight was just an awesome experience. A member of the staff was dancing to keep our baby entertained. And when we said no to the crayons he offered because our baby was too young, he asked if he could bring out a mashed avocado for him. No charge. Myself and 3 others went there excited about tacos. Only two visible employees were visible. First time there so unfamiliar w their concept. No one came to help us. Eventually, after seeing we wouldnt be seated, we had to approach a female employee. There was a sign at the counter announcing the days drink special and she checked w the bartender who said it was wrong. The alleged bartender went into the back room and we never saw him again. The girl couldnt explain where he went and still acted confused in helping us choose drinks. She then went to the back room and we never saw her again. The ambiance was very pleasant, store was extremely clean. The lighting was perfect. I'm from out of town and the person that helped me order was nice. They helped me decide what I wanted and took the time to answer any questions. As far as the food... I got the Tipsy Chick Taco and the Bonfire bowl with Guacamole and chips. The food was AMAZING!!!! This is one of the go to lunch places for us. love the chips and queso dip. My favorite is the Democrat and Republican taco's on the menu. They also have vegetarian options on the menu. I'm a huge fan of tacos! Torchy's is really in a league of its own! I had frequented the Dublin location off of Sawmill and just recently discovered the New Albany location! Let me say, the food, customer service and atmosphere is impeccable! Kyle and his staff were very friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond making my trip enjoyable and memorable! The portions are always great and the food is always fresh and tasty! Store is clean and the music isn't too loud. Everything is just right! Went to Torchy's Tacos for the first time in New Albany this past week and l think it was a good addition to the plaza by Target. We arrived around lunch time, it was busy but not too much. You stand up to order your food and then it is brought to you. It did take awhile to get our food and maybe they did not think they would have so many people but we waited maybe 30 minutes. They kept delivering food and without the AMAZING guacamole, I would've been so hungry. I highly recommend the guacamole. I got the Migas taco from the breakfast menu. It comes with eggs, corn tortilla strips, green chiles, avocado, pico de gallo & cheese with tomatillo sauce. It was very good but next time I want to try the Bacon Egg and Cheese taco as my mom and brother loved it. The biggest problem with my meal was that my avocados were not ready. They were hard as a rock, the manager ended up bringing me another cup of them but they were still not the best. I ordered another taco but it was not very good so I'm not going to get into it. I need to go back soon and try another few tacos. After eating so many chips, I didn't need more than one taco. They were huge. I'm super picky with Mexican food, so I was worried I wouldn't like this place. It was really good though! I got a burrito (with a bunch of weird modifications) and queso. They did everything correct and even asked me when I came in if everything looked right. Very nice people! Be warned though, their stuff is a bit spicy (I'm a baby). My family and I had lunch there today. Food was delicious. We had Trailer Trash tacos, steak fajita, chicken fajita and tipsy chicken tacos. The flour tortillas were very fresh. The queso and chips were very tasty too. The person taking our order was very patient with our group (wife and I are from out of town). We just had lunch at Torchys. We had never been here before. We ordered tacos and a Burrito, chips and salsa and drinks. Everything was so yummy!! But the most impressive thing were the employees. This is a fast casual place - order at counter and given a pager. But we never needed the pager - the bartender brought our drinks and an employee brought our food. He even brought more chips. The place was pretty busy too. The employees were cleaning tables and asking customers if they needed anything. Best BEST customer service and of course great food. Highly recommend. read more

after stopping in for a BJ order, I found myself hungry, having missed breakfast. I wound up at Torcus, looking for something that wouldn't melt my face off. I wound up with a Baja Shrimp taco, Mr. Orange (salmon) and a chicken fajita taco. the server warned me the Baja Shrimp has their onions mixed in with the jalapeno, so he's putting them on the side for me. the ambience is nice! it's a standard torcuctavos interior but this one is a bit quieter than the others I have been in. then again, it was empty when I came in, and it's starting to fill up slowly, perón by person. still, it's a nice spot to relax. there are three flat screen TV's at the bar, all on silent but most places play sports that don't need audio. speaking of which, their audio selection is superb! lunch just arrived, and it all looks delicious. the corn shells are traditional. read more

So I got hooked on Torchy' 2 years ago in Polaris, but this location is bigger and imho, nicer. Get the app, order ahead and pick up or eat in. Whatever you decide they have your taco. I have tried most of them. Favorites Republican with a generous split cheddar and jalapeño sausage. Also the jerk chicken. Frozen margaritas are delicious. Chips and queso for a half is very generous with chorizo, guacamole and cotija cheese to stir in. Great next day still! They also always have a TOTM- taco of the month. This month was Alabama Shake with fish. (Catfish I think). Just absolutely delicious white fish with amazing cajun flavor. Totm is great when you can't decide. read more

Torchy's tacos is located off 161 East and Hamilton Road in New Albany. There is plenty of parking outfront and a fast causal restaurant. Order food at the register, and they bring to your table that you choose. You can order cocktails at the register or at the bar. The restaurant isn't a large one. Bar seating is high top chairs and tables throughout that are low top seating with some semi booth seating options. I didn't come here with high hopes at first given other reviews but came for a happy hour with work colleagues. Margaritas were $2 off. A top shelf Margarita was a stiff pour of patron silver and other mixers and a salt rim. The ice was small cubes, the way I like. The issue can be a question of enough alcohol inside the drink for the price, but don't let the short glass fool you. Better durning happy hour. We got 3 dips for 4 of us to share, and it came with bottomless chips. We didn't eat but a quarter of each. A decent size portion for the price. I got 2 tacos ( I couldn't do more than that because of size). One was steak fajitas that was on a flour tortilla but could have used a sauce, and meat was on the tougher side but hearty. The baja shrimp tacos were delicious. Breaded and topped with a slaw and a spicy creama. It's definitely my favorite one. Served on a corn tortilla that tasted freshly made. My boss picked up the tab, so I didn't see the total price, and that could have changed my review, but overall, I will be coming back. Fast casual environment for some good quality. read more

Stoked to have found out more food options were opening up in New Albany. I have never been to a Torchy's, but it looked like it was going to be a decent casual/fast food spot. We stopped by this week to get a couple different tacos and street corn, along with chips and salsa. Everything was...ok. Not bad, but also not something I'll crave really. The cashier who might have also been the manager saw me pull in and ran my order out to me. On top of outstanding service the food was fresh and flavorful. My fiancé and I travel for work 24/7 and are in Columbus for half a year. Craving tacos we found Torchy's. Yes the price may be a bit out of the ballpark for some but they were WORTH IT. We got 3 tacos, a burrito, street corn, and 3 orders of churros. Not a single complaint or a "wish it was this way" feeling. The meats were juicy and not dry, the sauces paired well and nothing was overwhelming flavor wise. We ate all of it, even forgot to take pictures. We will be back and eat inside since we saw it being extremely clean and fun. We are beyond happy and can't wait to try more. read more

I had zero expectations coming here, and if anything, I thought it might be a bland chain restaurant that wouldn't be great. I ordered pickup for today (their first day open) and food was ready extremely quickly and had a convenient side door where one picks up to-go orders. We ordered 6 different tacos, the queso, and a salsa, and our order was completed with zero errors. I appreciate that each taco had a sticker affixed to indicate what taco it was. I tried each taco and every one was delicious. The brisket was notably very tasty-a bit smokey, a bit sweet. The chips were nice and light, not stale, thick and greasy as other spots (cough cough agave & rye). The queso is noted as a star menu item, and with good reason. Torchy's has possibly THE best breakfast taco with the ranch hand, BUT it's served with the worst possible steak. The flavors are there which is why it's a 3 star but when you bite in your fighting through gristle and hard rubber fat, whoever is sending these out doesn't take pride when they are cutting fat strips to serve to a customer. I've had many ranch hands here and 90% are fat filled steak, they need to switch it out to a brisket or something they can't mess up read more
