Came back to Torchy's, experience was not as good as the first time. We got there at 8:30. They close at 9:30, so we had plenty of time. We ordered food and two margaritas with salt. As we moved to the bar to wait for our food, the bartender informed us that he had put away the rim device to salt our glasses. We had already paid, so what were we to do. We said, "ok." Then we questioned what time they closed. We doubled checked, 9:30. It was only 8:30. I don't prefer a margarita without salt but felt stuck. Also, it wasn't as if we were the last ones to come in. I counted at least 6 parties that came in after us. The chorizo queso was excellent. The tacos were decent. However, while it may seem like a small thing, the lack of salt on the rim of my $12 margarita really sunk this place for me. I've never bartended, but I don't feel like it's a lot of work to salt a rim. Even if the stuff was put away (an hour early).
8.11.26 Popped in for Taco Tuesday. I always try the taco of the month, and for August 2026 it's the Muay Thai. Billed as fried shrimp, cooked cabbage slaw, fajita peppers, chile lime cucumber spear, panang curry sauce, peanuts, green onion and thai basil garnish on flour tortilla with a lime wedge. The shrimp was nicely done and there were enough of them to make a decent taco. Overall, everything has a sweeter flavor. My hubs wasn't the biggest fan (he's more of a "traditional taco flavors" fan) but I liked it. We also had the green chile queso & chips, which was definitely on the spicier side today (in a good way). For beverages, I took the advice on the wall and mixed the cold brew & horchata - -big #yum ! #ReviewsByRL
Fast casual. Shrimp taco was delicious. Chips were perfect. My husband loved his breakfast tacos.
Super good food! The service was great, very nice people. The place itself is clean and spacious, great place for friends and family! :)
Came to Torchy's Tacos for the first time on National Margarita Day. Ordered the house frozen margarita, the regular size. The drink is normally $11.55 but today it was $2 off. The drink was very good. We also ordered the full size of salsa Roja. It was spicy and had a kick to it. The cost is $5.25. Unlike a lot of Mexican restaurants, they charge for chips and salsa here. We weren't that hungry so we didn't order any tacos. But we will come back and give them a try. You can place your order at a kiosk, on the mobile app, or at a counter. If you order at the counter, they will deliver your food to your table. There is plenty of seating for countertop service. There is also a nice bar area with tables. If you sit in the bar area, they will come to your table to take your order. The bar has four large TV screens. Excellent for viewing sports. We were able to watch basketball, auto racing, and the Olympics while we had our drinks. There is one TV in the area for counter order seating. They serve Coke products. We like this! There is a self-service fountain area where you can refill your own soda. The service staff were professional and attentive. Our food was served promptly. The bill was accurate. They have a reward club, so join if you go. You get free queso on your next visit for joining. You get points for dollar spend, and you cash them for free food items. We will return and give the tacos a try. Pricing for tacos seems inline with other similar restaurants. Our bill for two drinks and chips and salsa, with a tip, was $33. And that's with the margarita discount. So the cost of the chips and salsa, in total, makes them higher than other restaurants in this respect. We hope they offer specials, discounts, reward member deals, or coupons in the future. They have a good happy hour menu. It runs from 2 to 6 PM on weekdays. They offer half price drinks. That appears to be a good deal! With that deal, we wouldn't mind paying for the chips and salsa.
Somewhere in 2018, I was down in TX, and my friend took me to Torchy's. From there, a love story began. I lived in MA at the time, and upon realizing there wasn't one around, very briefly considered opening a franchise myself! When I moved to IL, I once again checked to see if there were any nearby, The closest one was in a suburb of Indy; while still pretty far, it stuck in my memory. When I had a road trip to KY, it would be a perfect halfway spot, and I made it a point to stop in one the way there and back. The magic is absolutely still there, and I once again briefly considered opening a franchise local to me. Alas, as of this writing, Torchy's does not operate under a franchise model. First, let me introduce the elephant in the room: prices. Torchy's is more expensive than places whose names are similar to "Baco Tell" and "Shipotle," but I would argue despite a meal costing ~$5 more, you 100% get your money's worth. But how? Well: Food quality: For a fast casual restaurant, the quality is fantastic. I could quip about the brisket not being the tenderest, most melt-in-your-mouth stuff ever, but this isn't a BBQ joint with a smoker out back. For something which is likely coming from a hotel pan, I have no complaints. Even so, the proteins, veggies, and sauces all have terrific flavor, and are of high quality. I also love that the tacos are superbly well balanced and stay together nicely. For the sides, the queso is fantastic and some of the best I've had, and the tater tots are cooked and dressed to perfection! Service: Everyone working here is kind and friendly. At one point, I'd run out of queso, and had some chips left over. Going by the philosophy of "ask and ye shall receive" I asked, and was given some more queso. Outside of this, even during a busier time, the food came out very quickly. Portion sizes: Both times I'd ordered two tacos and a side. The tacos are delightfully large and not at all underfilled. The sides also fill in the gaps in ones stomach, so much so, this was a case where I didn't have room for dessert! Knowing me, this is a rarity! Final verdict: Perhaps it is a good thing that there isn't a Torchy's in IL, for I would be in there an unhealthy amount of times. That which caused me to fall in love with it in TX is present in this location as well. When Kentucky (rather my friends in KY) call my name again, you can be certain I will be putting Torchy's into my GPS before anything.
Had a wonderful lunch today. Quick ordering process even though they have kiosk the lady up front was ready and willing to take our order which was much faster. We opted for the 2 can dine for 20$ deal. They don't normally have street tacos so wanted to give them a try. It comes with 6 tacos Side of beans Side of rice We both chose to do 1 of each meat option. The steak was chopped up which was nice and had lots of flavor The pork was absolutely delicious and juicy The shredded beef was ok but lacked flavor and was greasy Rice was terrible and lacked flavor Bean were amazing as usual The tacos needed more onion and cilantro Keep in mind they are small and could use a bit more meat on them In addition we ordered the green chili queso and chips. The queso had a nice bit of heat to it and was creamy and had guacamole in it We also shared the taco of the month which is the Tokyo Drift. It was hands down the best taco they have. I'm adding a pic of what comes in the taco. I do wish it had more siracha mayo Overall great fast and delicious food.
My husband and I have been trying out some new taco restaurants, we prefer street taco style. When we arrived inside, it was not quite clear how you place your order. We went in and they said we could sit at the bar and order food at the bar. The bartenders were super friendly and great at making suggestions for food items. We started with the award winning green Chile queso dip, I would not order it again. I prefer white queso and did not like the taste of this queso. I like spice with green Chiles, but just something didn't taste right to me. I ordered 2 tacos and my husband ordered the burrito with barbacoa. The tacos taste better to me then Condado tacos, but if I go back, I'd order the burrito. The burrito was filled with flavor, rice, beans, toppings, and was delicious! I just kept eating my husbands I recommend trying the burrito with barbacoa.
My sister and I had so much fun here! You order and pay at the front and then sit at a table for the food to be delivered. There is also a bar to order drinks if you want more. The staff were really nice and food was great. It's a bit pricey but the food was really great!
I definitely enjoyed my experience ordering from here yesterday...and more importantly, eating the items that I ordered! I have never had Torchy's (at any of their locations) and I am impressed with the flavor combinations and ease of ordering. I downloaded the app, which is part of my standard practice these days, and was happy to find that I was rewarded a free order of their Queso & Chips. I was going to order the Street Corn, but after being gifted the chips & queso, I decided to save that for next time. I wanted to try a combination of their "Damn Good Tacos". I wanted some beef, some chicken, some flour tortillas and some corn tortillas, so I ordered the Brushfire, the Chicken Fajita taco, the Crossroads, and the Democrat. Everything was juicy and flavorful. I don't generally like salsa verde or tomatillo salsa, but I decided to trust the process and only use the condiments intended for each individual taco. Everything was so good. Generally, my husband isn't really a fan of Mexican or Tex-Mex food, but the flavors were so on point that I had to save him half of each taco to taste. Even he was a fan! The queso had a slight kick to it and the chips tasted really fresh and crisp as well. As previously stated, I placed the order through the app to-go, so I didn't really have much interaction with the staff. I entered the door labeled "To-Go" and my order was sitting right on the counter. An employee greeted me, and I grabbed my order, gave it a quick check for accuracy and was on my way. It was pretty loud inside for a Friday afternoon, but that just lets me know that they are a popular spot. My only dislike was the price point. Each taco was about $5-$6, but I'll be back to try the Street Corn and the Hillbilly Queso for sure!
Food was great, lots of flavor and great atmosphere. Service was not very good at all. Ordering the cashiers was not very nice and the person who brought out our food also was not very pleasant. ****Ok I will reach out thank you
The food is tasty. Ordering's pretty confusing as it's unclear that there are kiosks when you enter. And the kiosks--to our party--were not intuitive to operate. What little staff interaction we had was good. Bathroom was dirty and out of soap. Touch screens were dirty, too, and there was no hand sanitizer.
Not authentic but if you're looking for a twist on Tacos, Torchys is the place to go. There are many different kinds: chicken, beef, pork, seafood, veggie, just take your pick! The queso is amazing, I would highly recommend trying the hillbilly queso as well. The Baja shrimp was very good, you can get the shrimp fried or grilled. I thought the crossroad would be spicier but it actually wasn't that hot, still tastes great. The brushfire is always a great choice, but the jerk chicken does carry some heat. I suggest going for happy hour, Mon-Fri 2-6, all drinks are half off. Our bartender made a great margarita! They even have a deal of 3 street tacos for $6!

Hi Jenna - We're so happy that your experience was Damn Good! Thank…
This was an easy 5 decision for me. The tacos were great. The service was great. It was very busy, but they helped us through our first experience without making us feel rushed or crowded at all. The pagers are cool. They use a sensor and magnet on the table, so the waitstaff knows we're you sit without having to hold up a number or anything. The pager is basically gps for food drop off. I got a chicken and cheese and a breakfast egg cheese and potato taco. Both tacos are very good, but I did like the chicken one the best. The stand out of the whole meal was the chips and queso. I'm usually not the biggest queso guy, more salsa, but I had heard great things about theirs. It was very good! Some bites had a little kick, but nothing too crazy spicy. The tacos can get a little pricey, but when you only need 2 to get full, it's not too bad. Overall, this place definitely lived up to expectations and we are glad it joined the fishers neighborhood! read more

Hi Nick - we're so pleased you enjoyed your visit with us! Thank you…
I ordered the Elote, Trailer Park Taco, and Queso. The queso was my favorite part of the meal it has the perfect kick to it. As for the tacos, the are really good if you order them trashy! As for the elote...I would not order it again. It was rather watery at the bottom and didn't taste like any elote I ever had. The service was also terrible during our dine in experience, but I also know the location is rather new. The person on the register charged me for double the amount of tacos I ordered and I was wondering why my total was, so high and didn't realize it until after I got my receipt. In addition to this, it took part of our order 20 minutes to be given to us and we already finished by the time it got to us. Hopefully things improve in the near future as they became a local staple. read more

Torchy's Tacos is a trendy new spot in the heart of the Fishers District. The vibe of the restaurant felt like upscale faster food. There was a bar, a lot of indoor seating, outdoor seating, & a covered patio. My favorite taco was the Crossroads. It tasted fresh and authentic. The Air Stream salad was unique and flavorful. I didn't care for the dressing but I also didn't think I needed it because of all the other fresh ingredients. Torchy's would be great for a quick bite or a fun dinner out. I definitely recommend trying this new spot! read more

Hi Kurt - We are incredibly sorry for the frustrating experience you…
We made the hike to Fishers for a late lunch over spring break, and it's unanimous.. mom and (both) kid approved. My daughter had the kid's cheese quesadilla, which comes with lettuce, an avocado slice, and sour cream. She liked it, but it was a little small for a tween. She was quite jealous of her brother's egg, potato and cheese taco, which he topped with part of a generous side portion of refried beans. He loved it... but not as much as I loved my brushfire tacos. The combination of the spicy and sweet was perfect. The Diablo sauce has a good kick, but I still tasted all the flavors. But the real shining star was the fresh flour tortillas- so soft and delicious. Bonus points for having calorie counts, even if it is a buzzkill next to chips and queso. Next time I'd love to sit in the bar section, which looked like it had a solid draft selection. Southside location, please, Torchy's? read more

FINALLY! IM SO HAPPY INDY HAS A TORCHY'S. I've had Torchy's in Texas and it's always consistent and delicious. I tried the Indy location- it did not disappoint. Throw a dart at the board and you'll love the taco you pick, they're all great. Best advice- GET QUESO. It's a big queso portion so split with friends. As for tacos, get 2 and you'll be good. This Indy location has a bar inside, which is awesome. I saw a lot of people drinking beer and margaritas. What a happy addition to the city. read more

Damn Good Tacos they definitely are! Both trips to Torchy's have been on point! Plenty of free parking, and once in the door an easy ordering process, then sitting to wait for food/drinks to be brought out (there is a bar, too if you'd rather dine/order there). Lots of taco and side options, plus a full bar menu. Bar, indoor, and outdoor patio seating options available, with a cool wall to take photos in front of if dining indoors. A separate take-out door is available too if you're getting food to-go. A great choice to take kiddos, or works well for an adults time out, too. My faves are currently Mr.Orange and the Brushfire (can we say spicy?!) tacos. Will be visiting Torchy's more-glad to have it in Fishers! read more

I typically try to avoid new restaurants until they work out the kinks. However, I really wanted to try Torchy's when it opened and I am glad I did! The staff is friendly and on top of it! Don't be fooled by a long line when you first walk in...they move that line quickly! I have been multiple times now and have tried many of the tacos and they are all awesome! Chips & queso...so good! The food is so fresh, you taste that difference right away. I definitely recommend Torchy's...for breakfast, lunch, dinner...dessert! Oh yeah, if you want churros, get there early as they tend to run out at night because they are homemade and that good! Make sure you download the app to earn rewards as well as get access to the secret menu! read more

Alright so let me start by saying my first experience was for their opening. It was amazing. I've never been to a restaurant opening like this before. There were tons of people but they got everyone in and out in a nice amount of time. The food was great and the service was better with the drinks being the best. So we went back on another night. I hear that it's busy on the weekends, but we tend to go during the week and it's not too terribly busy. I would recommend the shrimp tacos so good as well as the queso and the palomo. You will not be disappointed. read more

Had never been to Torchy's. But was told by a west coaster that the ones out west were really good. . I'll simply say this, the staff were exceptionally pleasant. If this was about service, there would be 5+ stars. Having never eaten here, I tried 4 different items. The queso, (decent for sure). The trailer park (appropriately named. lol) is FRIED CHICKEN, GREEN CHILES, LETTUCE, PICO DE GALLO & CHEDDAR JACK CHEESE WITH POBLANO SAUCE ON A FLOUR TORTILLA. "GET IT TRASHY" - TAKE OFF THE LETTUCE & ADD QUESO that doesn't stand up to all of cold items. The Baja Shrimp taco (FRIED SHRIMP, COOKED CABBAGE SLAW, PICKLED ONIONS & JALAPEÑOS, COTIJA CHEESE, CILANTRO & A LIME WEDGE WITH CHIPOTLE SAUCE ON A CORN TORTILLA.) Do not order this one. It was marginal at best. The democrat (BARBACOA, AVOCADO, COTIJA CHEESE, CILANTRO, ONIONS & A LIME WEDGE WITH TOMATILLO SAUCE ON A CORN TORTILLA.) was so greasy I could not eat it. Music was CRAZY loud. The best I had was the queso and my water! The chips were good and the queso would be awesome for a Super Bowl party or your next holiday gathering. I came in with great expectations. But for those who eat Taco Bell (I DO NOT, EVER), this is a wonderful upgrade. read more

This was our first time at Torchy's and we had been hearing the buzz about it from a friend who had lived in Austin TX. It did not disappoint! We each had two tacos and we shared a side of chips and queso. It was plenty for two people. The queso was out of this world!! The best I've ever had anywhere. The tacos were delicious and very generous portions. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were there at 11am on a Sunday. It filled up fast. But it is worth the wait in line. No complaints at all except that when I went to the self serve area to get a plastic fork (the toppings were too delicious to leave the fallen ones behind!), the three silverware containers were all filled with spoons! But other than that tiny mishap, it was terrific!! read more

I am so happy that it has died down enough for us to get the chance to try Torchy's! As a first time visitor, I was not sure what to get, but decided on the trailer park taco and the avocado taco.
