Excellent food! My favorite is the trash taco with fried chicken on it (sounds odd but it's so good). My wife and I love to come here. Their queso is a little expensive but it's really good (keep in mind it is pretty spicy). They have really good crushed ice in the soda machine. read more

When I was told I'd be going to a Tex-Mex taco place in fishers I was skeptical. My Bf wouldn't steer me wrong and oh boy did not disappoint! These tacos are pricier than a regular taco but they're also twice the size. I ordered the democrat, which was barbacoa meat, and brushfire which was jerk chicken that came with Diablo sauce which is what you expect, HOT! I devoured both! When you walk in you see a counter, like chipotle, but if you're over 21 you can seat yourself at the bar counter or high stools and also enjoy a drink. It was busy but we got our food quicker than I expected. Our Bartender was cool and the ambiance was chill. They do have tv's that show games if that's what you're into as well. My friend really wanted to try Torchy's so we planned a night out. I enjoyed the idea of a fast casual restaurant that has a bar/cocktails. Location wise, it's in a very busy area with a lot of other options nearby! They do have a parking lot, but it was packed! We walked in and grabbed the only two seats at the bar and we were able to order everything there. I started with the Paloma, which has a jalapeño tequila. Drinks came quickly and although I hate paper straws, I really appreciate when businesses use them because they are so much better for our environment! The Queso was good, but there's rarely a Queso that's not good! The chips were light and crispy with a hint of salt. Delicious! For tacos I ordered the democrat taco (no additional onion) and it was so good! My other taco was a more of a miss, I ordered the trailer park taco and ordered it "trashy style" which added Queso on top. I don't know if was the pico or Queso but my taco was so soggy that it was hard to pick up. I ended up just eating the fried chicken on its on. All in all, the food was quick and tasty! Torchy's is so good! No matter what taco you choose, you are going to be satisfied. They have a list of 12+ tacos that you can choose from depending on what you want from your meal. You can also add and delete items to really make it your own if you want. Their margaritas are so good also, but a little expensive. It is a fast casual restaurant, so you order your food from a cashier and then it gets delivered to your table. I cannot even tell you my favorite because so far I've had about 10 of their tacos, I will say anything they have their brisket in is worth it!!! Their salad, my gosh was this thing to die for. The only thing I would change about the salad would be an increase in dressing because im a heavy sauce person and they give you a little cup for dressing-- other than that, absolutely to die for! Desert- their fried chocolate chip cookie dough balls were, unexplainably AMAZING!!! This is a must if you go and make sure to get extra if you plan on sharing because you will not want to share these delicious things!! In the dining, they have a family side and a bar side as well as a patio to sit outside during the summer. Finally got the chance to check out torchys. It was pretty busy but there is both seating indoors, at the bar (full service) and on the screened in patio. Prices are on the higher end for fast food with 4-6 dollars per taco but they taste good! I'm excited to try the burritos and bowls. This is the place that my man picked for date night. He loves tacos and can eat tacos 7 days a week, 24/7 if he could. Neither of us had ever been here before. My man's pick for date night was perfect. When we first walked in we were not sure where to go, seat ourselves or the registers to place our order. We went over to the register and asked and that is when we were told we could over there or over in the bar area they could take our orders as well. There is nothing better than great patio seating, a 72 degree day, a glass of sangria, and a taco. Only thing missing....the beach! The Baja taco is hands down my favorite but I'm a sucker for pickeled onions. One taco and an appetizer of chips w queso is plenty for me...but I would say most people would prefer a second...maybe even a third taco. Don't waste money. Highly regarded taco shop out of Austin. Was excited to try based on Austin food scene and tex mex quality. This joint had descriptions of menu items that sounded fantastic but taste fell flat. The fajita chicken taco tasted like chili's fajita chicken in tortilla, pretty low quality. The other tacos featured fried shrimp or steak. Steak was fair but flavors and quality not what expected. Tortillas were probably best part. Guacamole tasted Chipotle esq. This is a great little spot if you want a nicer place with quick service. There quest is unmatched! Also their margaritas are fairly priced and definitely pack a punch. The only think I wasn't a huge fan of was the tacos. They're very tex mex and I prefer authentic, but that's just me. Torchy's lives up to the hype! We arrived on Sunday afternoon and the line was long but moved quickly. Right before we ordered at the counter, a table in the bar area opened so we opted for that. They have about 10 seats at the bar and 4-5 four-top tables in the bar area. If you sit in this area, an employee from the bar comes and takes your order. They have some great drink specials every Saturday and Sunday. Bloody Mary's, mimosas and a few other cocktails for $3.50. I tried the Bloody Mary and it was better than I was expecting it to be and would order it again. We tried the Hillbilly Queso and everyone at our table loved it. This queso has chorizo and it had great flavor. I wanted to try their monthly taco but they were out of certain ingredients so I went with the Tipsy Chick and a taco off of their secret menu, The Matador. I really enjoyed both tacos and would order them both again. The meat on each taco was juicy and flavorful. Everyone at our table really enjoyed their meals. Over in the area, and we had been wanting to stop in for a bite! Knowing they originated in Texas, we'd heard great things! We swung in around dinner time and ordered right away. There were 2 cashiers and were very patient since we were not familiar with the menu. Majority of the seats inside were taken, so we moved to the patio. Thankfully, there were heaters on the patio, and a manager told us he'd wipe off a table closer to them bc it was chilly. We were handed a "pager/tracker" and the staff would bring us our food. My kids were freezing on the patio, so we planned to move inside once we received the food. The same manager brought our meals and said he would get us a booth inside. He was so kind and accommodating for our family. He didn't have a name tag but was very dedicated to making the experience positive. My kids enjoyed their beans/ cheese quesadilla and fried chicken quesadilla. We wanted to treat them to the churros but they were out so we settled with the fried cookies and cherries. Those were so good, definitely order them if you get a choice! We ordered the chips and queso, and ordered the "mild" queso which had cilantro and guacamole in it. It still carried some heat so heads up, and there were veggie options for burritos and breakfast all day! We overindulged and didn't regret any of it! Staff, cleanliness, food were all 5 stars! We got here around 12pm on our way to IKEA and it looked extremely busy. The line seemed long but it went by SO quickly, we were at the front in like 2 minutes. The inside has great decor and there was plenty of seating for how busy it was. Nice outdoor patio too. Our drinks (tequila sunrise) came out super fast, and our tacos quickly followed. It's my experience that it's best to go here during off-peak hours because it gets busy. The tacos range in price from roughly $3.00 to $5.50....It sounds pricey, but they're huge so you only need two tacos to fill you up. I ordered two Wrangler tacos (eggs, potatoes, smoked beef brisket, cheese, tomatillo sauce). They were great. A nitpick is that I could have used a little more tomatillo sauce on the tacos. Went to Torchy's on opening day at 11 am. I just beat the rush. The service was great, the restaurant was very clean, and I was excited to see that the chain restaurant had local beers on tap (Metazoa, Sunking, ThreeFloyds, etc). It shows that they are there for the community. I got two tacos and an order of queso. My TX friends rave about the queso and now I understand why! I would call myself a queso aficionado but this is probably the best I have had! The flour tortilla tacos are huge! The trailer park had two giant chicken tenders on the taco!
