Always fast & friendly service here at Torchy's in Kingwood. We always get the Hillbilly Queso. Best queso ever, in my opinion. The guacamole is also fresh and delicious, too. I also like to order my tacos in a bowl, which helps save some calories and carbohydrates. Our order always comes out hot and correct. I also really enjoy their margaritas. They are perfectly sweet and sour. We like adding a floater to the margs, too. Get that extra kick of tequila in there. I love that they have Happy Hour food AND drink specials. Torchys is a favorite of ours! The chips, salsa and queso are hands down some of the best you will eat! Service and atmosphere are always nice! Of course the tacos are always spot on.... My only issue and keeps me from 5 stars, the last few months the brisket on the crossroads is not edible. It's so tough. This has always been a favorite of mine. I have repeatedly returned it. Place is very cute with ample seating and a pretty loaded bar. Customer service was great! Guy treated us and explained the menu and all the questions we may have had. The food however was not it! We ordered their trailer park trashy, republican and their steak fajita along with their queso and chips & a quesadilla kids meal. With the exception of the kids meal all of our food was cold. The chips in the queso were extremely over salted. Hard to enjoy a nice hot meal, when the food is cold. Table next to us also said the same about their tacos. read more

We originally ordered lunch for delivery but I could not get the times to line up. Submitted the order for pickup instead. It was a bit of a drive to get there but not too bad. My food was ready when I got there and everything was correct. The team in the restaurant were super nice and helpful. Our food was good. The brushfire taco was my favorite and the queso with beef. Pros: Veggie Taco was wonderful, the queso was good. Cons: Overpriced Ordering drinks at the register then they notify the bar, who will be doing everything but making your drinks, you wait 15 minutes until you have to get up and go interrupt the bartenders conversation to find out where your drinks are. Anthony the Bartender makes a great Paloma, I overlooked the ingredients and I'm not at all a habanero or spicy infused tequila drinker, but it was perfect. The tacos are seasoned well and flavorful no surprise there, however I found it a bit off putting finding some fat on the beef fajita. Not something I expected to see. Made me think the meat wasn't fully cooked but it looked fine. Overall great space to come after work for happy hour, or just hang out. Noticed both bartenders interacting & conversing with the clients sitting at the bar. Good spot for when you have a taco craving, though on the pricier side but good food. When we were ordering, we had two separate transactions, one to go and one to eat there. when we got our order for here, we were missing a taco because the girl who took our order did not add it to the transaction (we were unaware. She did not read our order back to us) the food runner was very rude. Instead of trying to resolve the situation, she walked away from us mid conversation. We then sat there and waited for 10 more minutes while nobody came to resolve the situation or ask us if we wanted to reorder it. Nothing. The taco we DID get was 75% cheese. Gross. read more

Just had a chips and queso and I must say it was um um good!! It was very different from any queso I've had at an establishment and I eat a lot of Mexican food! I didn't get a picture, but trust me! Come to this location often and it is always a hit! Service is great and foods comes out very quick! Went for lunch and it was pretty busy. Great spot to get a quick bite to eat or drink at the bar, vibes are very casual. They have a really good happy hour. I have never had anything bad from here, everything off the menu is a hit but my go to is the fried avocado taco on corn- so delicious!! We really like Torchy's! The restaurant is clean, our food always comes out quickly, and the staff is consistently friendly. The food has a great flavor and is always satisfying. So far I've tried the Airstream Salad with grilled steak, the Grande Burrito, and the Threesome -- all delicious! Even though it's not quite the same as the taco shops I grew up with in San Diego, the food still tastes really good in its own unique way. Was not busy at 7:30pm when went on a Sunday. Ordered right away and got tacos and two 1/2 dips and chips plus drinks. Tacos came out hot and fresh with a good amount of meat and toppings. Although I have been to Torchy's Tacos many times, this was my first visit to this location. I went during peak, lunchtime crowds, and yet the line was short and moved quickly. My food also came out in a very timely manner. The staff was friendly and the ambience was exactly what I expected. Torchy's never disappoints. I recommend the Trailer Park taco, but make it Trashy. if you don't know what that means, make sure you read about it before you order. It will make it a little more spicy since they add queso to it. It depends on your ability to handle spice. I like it and do not think it is spicy at all but your taste and mine will vary. The Democrat is a barbacoa taco. Today I ordered it for the first time and it was OK. I can't say I would order that one again, but will try something different next time. Bottom line - Even though tacos is in the name, I do not consider this to be Mexican food. It is clearly just tacos. With that being said, I do like the consistency that the restaurants provide with their menu. I will continue to be a patron at Torchy's Tacos in general and have no complaints about this specific location. Bon appétit, y'all. read more

These are fantastic tacos. They are bigger than street tacos, and they are more flavorful than most tacos. I've had. The taco names are very clever. We tried the Democrat, Republican, Hogfather, Brushfire, and fried avocado. All were excellent. We will be back very soon. read more

AWESOME!! You can't get a better queso or guac anywhere! The airstream salad is my all time favorite Mexican salad. The dressing is a vinaigrette not like any other Mexican salad you've had. It's topped with pistachios that add a nice crunch. The Tipsy Chick with the sweet bacon jam is a must try. The street corn is super flavorful. We like to sit at the bar because it has more of a restaurant feel instead of fast food vibes you get from ordering at the counter.
