Anything off their "Damn Good Tacos" taste very sweet and is just not a taco to me. Almost the worst taco's I've ever had ........ Guy Fieri's taco shop he peddled here in KC before shutting down. Overpriced. The flavor on the tacos was interesting and unique, but things were definitely overpriced for what you get. Small tacos. The sides were okay sizes for the price. We ordered it to go with multiple full orders of chips and dip. They didn't include one dip at all and we only got one portion of chips, Everything we tried was good, but whatever you expecting in size, reduce your expectations. Got myself a democrat because everyone said it was their favorite and it was cold. This was five dollars for one itty bitty taco. I got three of them and threw them out. Better for the trash than my palette. To all KC Metro residents. There's so much good Mexican/Tex mex cuisine here. Sonora, K Machos, etc. both are giving you more for less money. The place was relatively clean when we entered- though how little people there might have been to blame. The food came out very quickly and my meal ('The Wrangler') was delicious and I enjoyed the quality. I don't know if how busy the place was could've been the reason behind the short wait time and quality of the food but all in all it was a great experience for a 3:45 PM lunch break. read more

Perfectly good drive-through tacos! My favorite was the Baja shrimp because of all the yummy crunchy vegetables they put in it. For white people tacos, they really don't suck. Plus the guy operating the drive-through has a great sense of humor. read more

This was my first trip to Torchy's and I have to say I really enjoyed our food. We had the kingpin, trailer park, and the green chile pork tacos. My favorite being the green chile pork. The pork was tender and full of flavor. The fried chicken in the trailer park taco was perfectly cooked and had a nice light breading that was nice and crispy. If you go, YOU HAVE to have the queso. An excellent amount of spice and flavor that had me dipping back for more! We'll for sure be back to explore more of the menu. read more

I was not a huge fan of the place. Had a lot of options but nothing that really fit what I liked. I had the crossroads and the brisket was said to be smoked. There was no real smoke flavor to it. Last minute choice on a Friday night. Was hard to get in the parking lot due to drive thru back up. Poor design for eat in customers. Took a friend and we each got 2 tacos, shared a dip and 2 house margaritas. Tacos were good, dip Ok, chips less than average and margaritas were drinkable. Came in Monday and was turn away didn't have reservations make a note new place open up join their program, this use to be Burger King it has been here for many years, across the street is Target, some of these new business that took over the buildings bring new life and survive too, when u walk in grab a menu and head down the line to place your order, food and beer, beer u pick up and find a seat, food follows,about 16 seats at the bar, I like seating at the bar, I'm not taking up table for a family, my bartender Megan or server 1515 is very friendly and knowledgeable too, ask for her,I ask her questions, happy hour is 7 days week, I was told if u want to sit at the bar u can by pass the line, will try it next time, I parked in the target parking lot because parking here can be traffic jam up, u can walk to this place, they sell shirts and whatever, most people here know this place in Texas or whatever and will follow them anywhere lots of room to sit inside, right now drive thru is busy, but also a new place will be busy for awhile, name alone will drive people to here, talk to a dude who had this in Texas luv them, it will be interesting to see what he thinks about them, read more

We had a great first experience at the Olathe location. The parking lot can be tricky to get into when the drive through is busy, but that's our only complaint. The line was long but moved quickly-the QR code menu is available while waiting, so that's helpful to keep the line moving when you get to the front. We tried four tacos: the green chili pork, chicken fajita, brushfire, and trailer park. All were damn good! The chicken was so juicy (I HATE dry chicken!!) and had great flavor. Ingredients were clearly fresh. My only thought is if you get them to go, they might be soggy by the time you got home? The house margaritas were actually pretty good, too. All of the staff was friendly! They are a bit pricy, but that's what happens when ingredients are responsibly sourced. If you want cheap tacos made with factory farm meats and crappy ingredients then keep driving to Taco Bell. Torchy's is a cool concept, and we'll definitely be back. read more

Had high hopes as I had heard great things but was very disappointed. The Taco of the Month, Tokyo Drifter, was the best we ordered but all others, we get 1 of each, we so mediocre. My daughter says this place is "swaggy". Wouldn't know about that, but it tastes damn good. Taco of the Month is a must. Doesn't matter what it is, because it's always a winner. Even the one with plantains. Especially the one with plantains. Trailer, get it trashy, of course. Fried avocado for the trifecta. Tacos are like $5 dls each just a heads up. We went around 7pm and it was not busy at all. Our tacos came out in like 5 min, the disappointment was how small the tacos were, barely any meat on them, cold tortilla SO SAD. We also got chips with queso and the chips omg TASTED OLD AF they were not crunchy as they are supposed to be, they tasted old and nasty. The soda machine was giving out soda water, don't come here the food is so disappointing you'll waste ur money. read more

I got the avocado taco and the trailer park taco trashy style and they were both SO good. We ordered the street corn and rice and beans, as well and those were delicious, too. Went here for a 3rd time even though every time before that it's been bad. Me and my boyfriend were just really craving street tacos. The meat here is disgusting. It's all fat no meat. If you like squishy meat then sure go here. They're sides are good but overpriced. Since when is a side of guac and chips $7?? Not worth your money. I spend a lot of time in Wichita where they have Torchy's so I was looking forward to KC getting this restaurant. Two close friends I work with bragged this place up to me for days in a row so I was anticipating a good meal after a long painful day at work. I ordered a family pack along with sides of chips and queso, and a couple of drinks. Very average food in my opinion. I don't regret my order b/c for me to purchase and prepare this meal would not have happened with my busy work schedule. The quality of the meat was decent. I stopped eating not b/c I was full, I just wasn't super excited about the food. The ease of ordering was a plus, variety of food isn't bad. The biggest reason to go here would be simply because of the "to-go" alcohol drinks (thanks Covid!). My chances of going back would be 4/10. If you're a huge lover of Mexican food, give it a try.
