My friend went with the house margarita while I opted for the spicy pineapple jalapeño. Both were so incredibly good that skipping a second round wasn't even an option--we doubled up! Our server was wonderfully patient and attentive, gracefully making a few extra trips to our table while we hopelessly debated what to order. I finally settled on the Pollo Relleno, which came loaded with Mexican rice, refried beans, and a taco. My friend grabbed the tres crispy tacos paired with charro beans. A good little spot! Is it the best Mexican food in the area? No. Is it solid enough that we'll absolutely be back? Yep! First, immediate bonus points for giving everyone their own salsa dish. No rationing salsa at this table! Although, the spicy salsa will cost you an extra $1.99. We tried Los Tres Tacos with two beef and one chicken, the quesabirria, and the Periban Avocado. Everything was very good. The flavors weren't quite as bold and in-your-face as I usually like my Mexican food, but it was consistently solid across the board. The charro beans and refried beans were especially delicious. My biggest complaint? Everything came out just barely warm. Not cold, but definitely not hot, and I think that made a BIG difference. Had everything arrived piping hot, this meal could have gone from "very good" to "exceptional." Overall, good food, cute spot, individual salsa bowls, and plenty worth coming back for. My wife has been the one to write reviews on this restaurant, but it is so consistently good, I'm chiming in. We had the Divorciados for breakfast again! Incredible. The flavor balance is true Mexican flavors not American, which means authentic pop of balanced flavors! Booth behind had Coconut Margaritas. I always get the top shelf Margarita and my wife gets the cheapest one. The color and unique flavor of the Top Shelf is pretty unique. Both don't have that overly sweet candy taste. They taste so authentic. We then had to try the Coconut Margarita. I'm not always an island drink person, but it looked too good with the toasted coconut rim. It was so good and perfectly balanced to not be so sweet. The waitress said that was due to them making their own blends. We eat here all the time. I have had Mexican food all over the country in the best areas and this is the best! If I could invest in the expansion of this restaurant, I would. read more

The steak on the street tacos was super tender and juicy, and very good, The fajita bowl special was on top of a bed of rice and lettuce plus the other ingredients that make up fajitas. Came in for lunch, the area needed a Mexican restaurant, there isn't a whole lot in this little corner of Olathe. Lots of seating, lunch specials m-f, brunch menu for the weekend, friendly service and free chips and salsa. Street tacos were delish. We were seated immediately and served chips and a bowl of tasty medium heat salsa. Our newly hired server was quiet & reserved. When we asked for recommendations, he said he couldn't give any. We ordered two house margaritas & thought we would be getting the 2/$8 Monday special but we brought the 20 oz size instead. Our margaritas were lacking in flavor and were watery. We ordered also ordered cheese dip & the server failed to bring it, we were not charged for it at least. My pork tamale was really good however my steak street taco with greasy and flavorless. Chicken street tacos were delicious. Chicken enchiladas were delicious. Pork verde was just ok. Small portion and hardly any verde sauce. Great tortillas. Refried beans were bland. Overall food was good. Long drive for just good food. Will stay closer to home next time. People need to start standing up and complaining against this ridiculous rounding up trend. Emiliano's has recently opened up in Olathe offering fresh Tex mex options. The first thing I noticed about this place is the very sleek and modern design to the interior. A nice bar area to grab drinks with a tv available. The menu offers all of your favorite Tex mex options also while serving your more traditional Mexican dishes. The drinks were delicious and food was great I ordered the churri burrito. Stuffed with grilled chicken, onions, topped with queso. This is a 2nd review. First review was 5 stars a week ago, as this one will be. We moved here to KS from CA. We have been there 4 times in one week. We brought our neighbors the 3rd time. I was worried that this would be the 'one hit wonder' so we tried it a 2nd time before inviting our neighbors. Thank goodness it wasn't, from breakfast, lunch to dinner, it is OFF THE CHART! My husband lived in San Diego much longer than I and said it is way better than any of the Mexican restaurants that he has been to. The enchiladas verdes lunch ($10.99) was served 12 minutes after I ordered at the table, which gave me time to dig into the complimentary chips, thick, medium salsa and tasty espinaca dip. The entrée had generous portions and plenty of flavor. Everything was first-rate including the salsa, beans and rice - nice! I found the dining area to be spacious, clean and newly renovated with Mexican background music, a mix of booths and tables, plenty of natural light, four TVs and a bar with six beers on tap, while the service was cheerful and attentive with a satisfaction check. Every time we have come we have been able to be seated quickly and the service is always prompt. I go between the chicken enchiladas and the chicken tortilla soup, both are so good I don't even want to try anything else. We were here last night and they had a 2 for $8 special on 12oz house margaritas. What a deal! Spread the word about this place. Here is the breakdown of my experience. Atmosphere: 3 Service: 3.5 Food:4.5 Our server and the staff are friendly. They simply need more time to work on their efficiency. We arrived about 5:30pm and were seated right away but we didn't leave until 7:20pm. The atmosphere is okay. Small and clean. Nothing special. The food was really good. While the chips were a little on the stale side, the salsa was good and the complimentary espinaca was great. Our food was hot, tasty, and fairly priced. OMG, this is one of the BEST authentic Mexican food joints in KC! It used to be a Pizza Hut (yes, my high school softball team used to meet there after games (many) years ago. They have renovated it to be very nice and upscale inside and I can't tell you how amazing the food it! I've had taco salad, steak fajitas, enchiladas and queso fundido (steak).
