I order from Torino's at least once a week. On Staten Island, we certainly have our selection of pizza places and I have tried a lot of them, but will come back to Torino's time and time again. The food is delicious and the prices are super fair, even when most other places make it impossible to order out with inflated prices and delivery fees. Well what a great place this is. Walked in one night with my wife and had pan vodka slice with chicken and it was delicious ! My wife decided last minute to have penne Vodka. Placed an order at 6pm for delivery specifically for 8pm to SIUH North. Received a text saying order was out for delivery at 6:17pm. I called the restaurant making sure my order would arrive at 8pm as break times in my department are very exact. Was told by an employee yes it was just saying its out for delivery to clear the list and make room for other orders. At 6:55pm I was called and said my order is delivered and being left with security. I called the restaurant back and was told "you can't just heat it up anywhere" I said that's not the point. Let me first say that the food here is pretty good but the service after today was beyond horrendous. I called to order a grilled chicken caesar salad and a square slice. When I opened up the package I immediately saw tomatoes so with my fork I moved the chicken over just to double check. Nope, it was a reg salad. I called to inform them that the wrong salad was sent. The individual over the phone was so rude and nasty. First, telling me that he knows what he heard; that regular is regular and caesar is caesar as if I am not fluent in English!! After some more words he said he'll send another salad but still insisted that he knew what he heard. Then asked if the salad was "untouched". I told him it was opened. I can now only make the assumption or guess that he was probably considering eating it himself or reselling it. GROSS!! So taking into consideration this mans nasty attitude and not wanting to deal with his business today. I was starving and decided to make lunch and home and called to just cancel the order. I call back and said in a respectful way that we should just cancel the order and have the delivery man return the cash when he gets a chance. One word response: NO! I was taken aback by his lack of customer service. He then begins to explain to me that he isn"t going to lose money on 2 salads and throw them both in the garbage. That he will send the other salad but he will not give back the money. I told him he will return the money that I no longer want their service or food. He repeats himself about hearing "correctly" about what salad was ordered. Then finally agreed that he will return the money. The food is ok, however they have a very hard time getting orders right. Today was the last chance for them. I was ordering 2 or 3 times a week for a few weeks and they just can't seem to get things right. You ask for a slight change or a cup of sauce for a chicken roll or and they just can't get it right. I ordered a personal vodka pie, pasta fagioli and fried ravioli. I had ZERO complaints, all my food got to me still hot (and I'm not very close to their location) and everything was so good. Hands down, my new favorite pizzeria on the island. And the pasta fagioli is the best I've had in a very long time. I've ordered pasta and a chicken roll and let me tell you about how un cooked my meal was. The chicken roll without a doubt was barley cooked and the sauce and ingredients didn't help . Called in @ 5:57 and placed an order to pick up chicken wings. I came in five minutes later and said very politely/kind that I placed an order for chicken wings. When they couldn't find the order, The owner said with the nastiest attitude, that I didn't call here and that I never called in to place an order repeatedly saying that speaking over me. instantly became defensive and argumentative.
