The sandwich was cold when given to me and had little flavor. It was covered with garlic and oil and was messy. Not a place I would visit again. A bit dirty inside as well. Always enjoy the food at Sunset. Buffalo slices are my favorite, with an Arizona to drink. Baked ziti slice if you want to overdose on carbs too lol. I also really enjoyed the chicken parm hero I got. The side of fries could feed an army! Only issue: when I went to order on the Slice app, the minimum order amount was $20! That's a lot of food for one person, I think you should lower it to $10-15. read more

I lived in Brooklyn my entire life and became a Staten Island implant back in 2018. Personally, I wish we came here sooner. Staten Islanders are pretty amazing people, which brings me to my point. Their pizza is fantastic. One such pizzeria that always reminds me of home is Sunset Pizza at the Rossville Plaza of Prince's Bay, Staten Island. Not only is their pizza delicious they have numerous Italian, old world, delectable entrees to choose from. Having said that, the pizzeria is clean, the refrigerator is well stocked and the owners are very personable. Something I missed back home in Brooklyn. Solid 3 stars means A-OK and they earned it. Stopped by this plaza pizzeria fro a quick slice and went ahead and ordered their round and Sicilian. The round was an average NY slice which cant really be messed up and their Sicilian was really good. The Sicilian dough was just right. Slightly crunchy from the oven and a nice chew on the inside. I have been ordering from sunset since I was able to walk to woodrow from my home with friends. I always enjoyed their food. And still do! However, I noticed that there is now a $2 delivery fee (i live a few blocks away) and then on top of that, I give the driver a tip. So for just a standard pizza, which is $13.95, I end up paying around $19 if I have it delivered and tip the driver. $19 is a lot for a local pizza delivery and there are nearby pizzerias and also further away places that deliver for free. This is something sunset should consider because a lot of their loyal customers aren't interested in paying delivery charges. read more

I would have never chosen this place based on the name but in the area it's really hard to find nyc style pizza. Most places are tiny chewy thick crust but this place does it right. Filled with booths, two TVs, refreshment refrigerators, and a giant pizza counter, it's perfect for an after-work bite, lunch run, a date, and the list goes on. They didn't sell-out like many other pizza spots with blaring music and 2,000 TVs all over the place, which is MUCH appreciated. Keep it simple. Sunset is my favorite pizzeria on Staten Island, and genuinely my favorite pizzeria that I've ever been to. Their pizzas are always hot, fresh, and delicious. Their garlic knots are perfectly doughy, cooked, and covered in garlic in the best way. I rave about their Italian Wedding soup to anyone who will listen to me. My family has been going here since before I was born and I have been eating their pizza since I could first chew. I am a NY pizza snob who thinks extremely highly of this place. Was told it would be a half hour (which we know everywhere always says that not a big deal) waited OVER an hour for our food. Called them and the boy was very nice and said our food is leaving now which is kind of funny for the fact I'm 5 minutes away and when we received our food it was ICE COLD. We noticed there was and extra box with 2 slices of pizza and some kind of wrap.. we didn't eat it just left it on the table.
